Mangle turned to the person who had started a conversation with her. "No, I'm not talking to myself. Stanford is just my friend, or one of them anyway. I know it seems weird that we'd be friends in such different age groups, but it's possible." she replied to Toffee. She then noticed that Toffee had 4 finger son his hand. "hey... Stanford has 6 fingers, and you have 4." she noted.

Connor turned to the child who had asked what he was doing. "It's a drawing of a cat." he replied to Chara. He could tell which gender the child was though, so he decided to find out. "I can't tell if you're a boy or a girl." he noted, tilting his head to the side slightly. When Chara left, he simply waved. "Okay then, goodbye I suppose. Why do you have a knife, by the way?" he asked, confused. Maybe it was a fake knife for play fighting. Maybe. "Alright, I will. it's nice to meet you! Hopefully your friends come along soon." he then told garnet, and he wrote the numbers down as he sadly watched her leave. Even if his other friends didn't come yet, it was still nice to make new ones.

Before Chara fully left the building, they turned as Connor asked a question. They simply gave him an eerie smile as he asked for their gender. "Determination." They responded with a grin. "Oh... And this knife isn't for games."

With that said, the child left the building.

Now, they were still spinning the knife, only putting it up when they reached the apartments. How bland. Stepping within, they glanced around, never ceasing to grin. Ah, they could already tell how they could go about destroying this world... If only they were allowed.

Natella strode outside with more than a few shopping bags around her arms. She peered down one way and then the other, sunglasses delicately on her face. With a little difficulty, she adjusted her fur coat and walked down in one direction. Maybe there would be something worthy of attention this way, she thought, but she doubted it. Little in this town made it stand out from any other peasant village. Her heels clacked on the sidewalk as up ahead she noticed the coffee shop. What was this? Hot Cuban beverages? Interesting... Maybe imported goods could satisfy her want for something new. She started towards it and stepped inside, quickly examining the residents. Blondie in the back, girl, small boy, smaller boy, tall man, and a couple of others. Huh. With her nose turned upwards a bit to signify they were her inferiors, Natella, ex-governess of the country of Georgia, strode up to the counter and ordered a coffee.

Macavity paused as a smaller person walked into the lobby. How odd. Was that a male or a female? He couldn't tell, but didn't make the effort to inquire. After all, whatever they were, they were a stranger. What caught his eye most, though, was the smile. Even he was a bit unnerved by the grin on the thing's face. He crossed his arms over his chest and tried to flick his tail before realizing he could no longer do such. Instead he huffed, gave the thing another weird look, and finally turned his gaze away. He didn't need people like that, he needed people who wouldn't be recognized by witnesses or identifiable by Scotland Yard - if they had them here, that is.

Smaug snorted lightly and took another sip of his coffee, drinking the rest of it within a few minutes. He swept the room with his eyes, noticing a few people he hadn't seen before-and one he had. His lip curled at the sight of the blonde elf, and he snorted yet again.

"What is it this time?" Draco groaned behind him, clearly annoyed with Smaug's attitude today.

"It's an elf." He snarled. Draco happened to know Legolas, and liked him quite a bit. Her didn't realize that his two friends-well, one was more of an acquaintance- were enemies, and it made him slightly nervous. Smaug shook his head, causing his red hair to fly, and he looked over to see a rather smug woman at the door. He shoved his coffee onto the counter and turned away from Draco, grunting about how he needed to leave. With that, Smaug walked out the door, almost shoving the smug woman out of his way as he headed down the street towards home. Draco snorted and followed him, waving to Legolas and bidding him goodbye as he walked off towards home as well.

Legolas was greeted to the sight of Smaug's angry face, smirking slightly as he left and raising a hand in greeting to Draco. He looked back around the coffee shop, his eyes fixing on the woman with a smug expression. He snorted slightly and stood up, pulling back his hood to let his long blonde hair down. He shoved the blade back into his pocket and started towards the door, his feet barely making a sound as he slipped past the woman and out into the open, deciding to jog down the street towards his apartment. He slipped into the apartment lobby and noticed a woman with rather poofy hair and a young kid who looked about fourteen. Legolas smirked slightly, remembering when he was young. He shook his memories off and nodded a silent hello to both people before sitting down in a chair to the left of the doors.

He didn't care if anyone spoke to him; in fact, he was looking for a conversation, but he preferred to sit somewhere nobody would normally look. Legolas had always been a rather quiet person-one that would be fairly good at eavesdropping, which he did often. That was normally how he found out everything, and everyone's names.

Toffee raised his eyebrow slightly when the woman said that whoever this Stanford was, had six fingers. He found himself clenching the hand with a missing finger slightly, and he looked down at his hand. He didn't like people bringing up his missing finger, but he couldn't blame the woman, she didn't know. "Well, it's nice to know I'm not the only one with an abnormal amount of fingers around here." He finally replied before taking another sip of coffee. "Who are you?" He then asked. As he waited for an answer, he glanced around, watching the others. Nothing really caught his attention, and he looked back to the woman.

Winter sighed as she made her way back to her apartment, her hands stuffed in her pockets. She had just finished her shift at the Coffee Shop, and was heading back home to work on her writing. As she reached the apartment lobby there seemed to be a lot of people, but one that caught her attention was a blonde-haired man sitting in a chair, alone. There was a strange feeling about him that she couldn't shake off, and she approached him, curious. When she got a closer look at him, she realized he was quite handsome. "Hello." She greeted him with a smile. "Who are you? I haven't seen you around before." She asked, sitting down in the chair beside his. She found it strange that this man probably lived in the apartment, but she'd never noticed him before.

Legolas was silently watching everyone for a few moments before hearing the door swing open. He looked up to see a woman standing at the doorway. She seemed rather curious about him and approached, sitting down next to him. He straightened himself up and held out his hand to her.

"My name's Legolas, m'lady. What might yours be?" He asked her. He hadn't been approached by almost anyone for quite a while, so it was nice to hear a voice he didn't know addressing him.

The child felt someone watching him for a moment. It was something that came natural to someone, as one could almost feel the sight fall upon them, like an itch. However, Chara was one that wanted to investigate. To mess with them. They looked over at the elf, grinning ever so slightly more, especially since he had been uncomfortable thanks to it before. That only made it more fun.

However, someone else approached the elf first. A woman, most likely not a character. How... Fun. Chara laughed inside as they allowed their smile to go down into a friendly one. The lowliest of smiles.

Out of their inventory (they made sure to do this behind their back), they pulled out a torn notebook, and started flipping through it. They went to a table not far off from the two, picking up a pen and began to draw. What kinds of things? Uh... Well... What else would Chara draw than what they wanted?

Winter took the man's hand as he held it out towards her, shaking it. "It's nice to meet you, Legolas. I'm Winter." She told him. "Legolas is an interesting name. I haven't met anyone with that name before." She tilted her head to the side for a moment, observing him. He was different from anyone she had met, and it wasn't just because of his appearance. He was very well-mannered, almost like royalty. "Where do you come from? Something about you tells me that you aren't from around here." She wondered. She hoped that she wasn't asking too many questions, since she didn't want to annoy him. As she waited for Legolas to respond to her, she saw a young child watching them, but she didn't pay them too much mind, and soon looked back to Legolas.

He smiled at her. "My name means green leaves in an old language I grew up around. I mostly spent my time in the forests, which seems to connect with my name." He tilted his head and studied her as well for a few moments. "Winter is in interesting name as well, might I say. I've never met someone with a season as their name."

Her question slightly struck him, as he had no idea if she was a writer, a seer, or someone who knew he was a character. It took him a moment to answer, but he assumed he wouldn't get yelled at by anyone for giving a rather twisted answer.
"Rather far from here. Somewhere you wouldn't want to be if you don't enjoy adventure, and danger, and the woods." He chuckled as he mentioned that last bit. He turned to see the child behind them doodling something, so he assume he or she wasn't too interested with what they were talking about.

(Oi so do I. Trying to work on three roleplays at the same time literally destroys all your creativity o.o)

Chara kept on sketching, and scribbled pictures ended up coming out of it. It would've been like most children's drawings, but these had skeletons, robots, and all kinds of monsters. As they drew, they put an X over their faces. None of them looked happy, although one skeleton looked like it was still smiling...

Chara turned their red gaze back to the two people. They gave them a little wave, kind of how any child would give. If only they knew.

After shuffling around in the streets, Steven finally made it to the apartment building. He wasn't sure Garnet would be there, but he could always ask the receptionist.

He opened the door to the building, looking around with a smile on his face until he finally found her. She looked like she was talking to someone. Normally he wouldn't interrupt, but he was too excited.

"Garnet! I'm here! Surprise. I've missed youuuu!!" He cheered, running into her arms.

As Garnet waited for a response, she almost couldn't believe her ears. Was that really....

Garnet smiled, lifting the boy up and twirling him in a circle. If she wasn't wearing her shades, you'd be able to see she was tearing up from tears of joy.

"Aha! Steven! Oh I'm so happy to see you! How did you- When?" She was too happy for words.

Steven smiled at her. "I decided I wanted to live here with you. I'm hoping it's okay. Also, I've seen some people wearing your same glasses. And variations of your outfit. Why?"

Garnet blushed and giggled at his question.
"Well, I suppose it's because I'm a celebrity around these parts. And Steven, you're more than welcome to live here with me. My apartment is quite big." She said with a smile.

"Whoa, Garnet, you're a celebrity? That's so cool! He said, still hugging her.

Both hadn't felt this happy to see each other in a long time. It was refreshing for the both of them.

Winter listened, intrigued. "Well, I like your name. Normal names are boring anyways." She replied silkily, a flicker of amusement in her green eyes. She smiled softly when he mentioned her name, and she nodded. "Yeah, I don't exactly have a common name. I guess my parents named me Winter because I was born in January, which is the coldest month in the year." She informed him. When the child waved at them, she smiled and waved back. "They're adorable." She said to Legolas, chuckling.

Her eyes widened slightly when he told her about where he came from. "Well, where you come from certainly sounds more interesting from where I was raised. I grew up in Amsterdam, a city in the Netherlands. I didn't live close to much wildlife, which I found unfortunate because I just happen to love wildlife, and-" She stopped talking for a moment, remembering something. "Oh my gosh! Arya! It's time for her walk! Poor thing, she must be so bored." She quickly got up and began to run over to the elevator when she realized that Legolas was probably confused. She walked back to him, laughing awkwardly. "Sorry about that. You see, I have this dog named Arya, and I usually walk her when I come back from work, but I totally forgot. You can come along, if you want."

Legolas turned to see the child behind him wave. There was something about them that didn't seem right, but he put it behind him. They were only a child, after all. He turned to give Winter a good natured smile as she complimented Legolas's name, and he was just about to tell him his birthdate was in the same month as hers when he stopped short. He had just about told her he was much older than a normal human should be. He shook the thought out of his mind and kept his mouth closed, ignoring the statement he wanted to add. She seemed to have a lot in common with him, not to mention she loved wildlife. He smiled, knowing that anyone who loved wildlife was a welcome friend in his book.

He chuckled as she ran off before returning quickly, and he stood abruptly, smiling at her. "I would be most delighted to accompany you. I've been sitting for far too long anyways."

Chara watched as they left, looking back at their drawings. Ha, it helped bring their craving down. But as the two started to the elevator, the child decided it was time to go to their ironically numbered apartment as well.

Picking up the notebook (although not closing it), they left the pen behind as they went to the elevator as well. "Miss? Can I ride up with you? I live a few floors up, and I don't want to go alone." Casually played, Chara. Casually played.

Before Stanford could add on to his reply, a child ran up into the woman's arms. Both seemed extremely happy, and Ford couldn't help but to think about his grand nephew and grand niece. He hadn't known them as long as he'd like, but both reminded him of when he was younger. "Ah, is he your son?" He asked Garnet, looking at the excited Steven.

Garnet smiled at the older man and nodded.
"Oh yes. He's mine alright. Adoptive son." She said with a smile as she patted Steven's curly hair.

She was too happy for words. Maybe she'd take him to the beach. It seemed like a nice place for them to be themselves.

Maybe, just maybe, Steven could hangout with Ruby and Sapphire. Garnet blended in just fine, but those two stood out a bit more than she did as herself.

"Sorry for that excitement, I was just concerned about the girl you were speaking to." She said, keeping her hand on Steven's shoulder.

"She's the best mom ever too." He said with a big smile as his eyes shined.

He missed the way she would ruffle up his hair back then. He remembered it would any him when he was younger, but now it was comforting. It made him feel happy and safe.

He remained silent when the adults began to talk again, remaining close to Garnet and holding her hand as it was placed on his shoulder.

Steven couldn't help but wonder what Garnet was concerned about. Maybe they'd go on a mission together to find out!
