|Checkers|Male|Tamaskan Dog|4 Years old|Darkblood|
Location: Darkblood Headquarters | Mentions: North

When North leered over him, Checkers didn't cower and scrunch down like most dogs would have. He did tilt his head down ever-so-slightly, but other than that, he was completely unfazed. The entire time North stayed near him, Checkers was sporting a crooked smile. Princess? he thought in surprise. That's a new one. I like it. He had to bite back the urge to laugh in North's face, and he barely succeeded.
Tilting his head and grinning cheekily, Checkers nodded to North. "I'll try my best to meet up to your standards, my dear North," he said, his voice was straight and serious, but the sparkle in his eyes gave away the fact that he was having another one of his everything-is-amusing spells. "I understand you loud and clear." He let out a weird coughing sound - another laugh that was trying to escape. Now wasn't the time to start cackling - even though Checkers really, really wanted to sit down and laugh himself silly.
He winked and stretched out his muscles as North's face twitched. He knew that most dogs would get their faces torn off for acting so aloof around North; he wasn't stupid. He was well aware that everyone expected that, sooner or later, Checkers would probably be attacked by North for his 'disobedience.'
Checkers wasn't trying to be disrespectful. It was just that he no longer had any inhibitions. He literally didn't have a single speck of caution in his bones. He did what he wanted when he wanted - he was just lucky the things he did didn't piss off North.
When he heard he was going with North, he grinned again. He looked down at his twisted right paw - most dogs would think it was a hindrance, but Checkers could use it as well as his other paws. It wouldn't be a bother on their journey. He stepped away from the group, biting down on his tongue. North appreciated his insanity around other dogs, dogs outside of the Darkbloods, but Checkers knew that he should be keeping himself in check right now, especially since North was already upset with him. The idea that North was mad made it even harder to keep his laughs back.

Alawi | 3 Yrs. 7 M. | Female | Pyrenean Shepherd
Location | Softcall Forest
Mentions | Vanic

Shaking the mud from her already saturated pelt, Alawi raised her head to stare upwards at the stranger. She wasn't usually daunted by larger canines, but there was some air of calmness in the growing storm that put shepherd on edge. "Oh, I was actually looking for food." A gust of wind shook her near emaciated body, almost toppling her over. "Not that I need it though." Alawi planted her front paws firmly into the ground and sat back on her rump. "I guess the rain isn't that bad, once your pelt is too wet to absorb any more!" Deciding not to show her dislike of the icy torrents, Alawi wagged her tail. "Yeah, the rain does feel pretty nice." Her fur was beginning to stand on end. Whether it was from the chill of the water, or the mistrust prickling beneath her pelt, was unknown. "I'm Alawi." She nodded her head, which twitched violently to the side. While her head was lowered, the canine took a moment to study the broken and bleeding paws of the other shepherd before her. "Nice to meet you. What's your name?"

Miju|Saluki|Female|3
Location:Amusement park rubbles
Mentions:cherokee

Miju woke up, tired. Her eyes felt heavy, as if they were an alien's. She shivered as she got up in the cold metal gunk she had collapsed onto the previous day. Her sunny gold pelt was smeared thick in muck and grease as she stood on her stick thin legs and wary body.
Her legs buckled slightly as she stood up, looking around. The exhuastion from yesterday's search was still radiating from her paws, which had small cuts and bruises from the amount of metal scraps she had been jumping through to get around. The pain wasn't a problem anymore.

The wind felt cold to her, a storm perhaps? Her toe digits felt numb as whe trudged through the fallen buildings and onto a small patch of soft grass. The world felt so distant, so cold, so... Distrusful. She could've sworn from the corners of her eyes the world was getting dimmer and her pace slowed, until a distant snarl awoke her. Thinking it was a dog being attacked, she hurried over. The killers usually left scraps or tried to bury them for later whethey can stomach it, there should be some she can dig out!

Picking up her pace, she slowed when a foliage covered cart came into veiw with a dog shaking and growling in front of it. Insanity. She recognized much of it, it was quite common, she's heard of dogs killing packmates through hallucinations of other worldly creatures coming after them or become extremely dissociative in fear of others will betray them the second they get. Many of which died from ceasing their life meaninglessly, which often earns her a meal if she doesn't get detected by a high alert dog out on a full on frenzy, perhaps this one would be a ticket for meat in her stomach.

Ross | Male | 3 Years Old | Czechoslovakian Wolfdog
Location: Amusement Park | Mentions: Directly - Caesar / Indirectly - Cherokee, Mace (NPC)

Ross froze as the sound of claws clicking on stone advanced behind him and for a frightening moment he was certain Mace had tracked him down after all. The small wolfish canine resisted the urge to flee and whirled around to face her instead. He was tired of running. He had failed to find himself a new guard in time and this needed to end somehow. The surprise clearly showed on his face when the dog approaching was not a crazed Doberman and instead a huge male with a long, oddly corded pelt. Perhaps the ancestors truly wore watching over him. His prayers just might have been answered.

The white brute was silent as he approached, but his demeanor seemed friendly so Ross remained rooted to the spot as he waited for Caesar to venture closer. "Greetings," he called, letting a friendly tone slip into his voice as his tail gave a few quick, inviting wags. His attempt at appearing welcoming was ruined a moment later as vicious snarls ripped through the quiet of the abandoned park, causing his entire body to bristle and tense. Golden eyes darted in the direction of the snarls before he forced his fur to lie flat. "Someone doesn't sound happy huh?" He joked lightly, forcing a smile.

Vera | Female | 2 Years Old | Yakutian Laika | Chernobyl Darkbloods | Subordinate
Location: Softcall Forest | Mentions: Directly - Loon / Indirectly - North, Rook (NPC)

Just as Vera had begun to nod off a voice called down into her den and a single eye peeked open. Great. Just what she wanted. Visitors. The whole reason she had decided to take shelter somewhere so far from the Darkbloods' headquarters was because she wanted to be alone. Not only to preserve some of her own pride, but also because she expected many of her packmates would take advantage of her injury. One dog in particular, an ugly Mastiff mix called Rook, had told her once she was cute enough to eat. She was pretty sure he meant that literally. The thought alone sent a shiver down her spine and Vera suppressed a whine. Even if it had been something more harmless the only brute she wanted attention from was North. He was her leader. Her dark knight. Her everything....

The stranger's scent wafted down to her and effectively shook her from her thoughts a minute or so later. Another male. Sounded big too. Lovely. Freakin' fantastic really. Just what she needed. Vera heaved herself to her paws and shuffled out of her make-shift bed, grunting a bit as she clawed her way up the slightly sloped tunnel that led down to her nest. Poking her face out the entrance just enough for her white muzzle and light blue gaze to be seen. "What do you want?" She asked curtly. The dog was indeed quite big. A Great Dane, but that gave her some comfort. If he proved aggressive he was far too large to get through the hole.

Cherokee || Female || 3 Years || Greenland Dog || Mentions: Miju || Location: Amusement Park

As Cherokee lashed her head to the side, she caught a glimpse of a different shaped and colored dog just yards away, watching her have a fit with herself. Concluding that she wasn't there to claim her soul- but she did notice the way she was looking at her, Cherokee calmed down, staring at Miju for quite a bit before snapping. "What are you looking at, Mutt?" Her voice was bold, and her eyes held a certain psychopathic look. She absolutely hated dogs who thought they could drive themselves into other peoples business. Cherokee hated dogs in general, even herself.

Her fiery orange eyes were locked onto the cream-grey she-dog, waiting for an answer. In the meantime, if the strange bitch (Using it in the context of She-dog) decided to do anything funny, Cherokee could easily pin her down. Her black and white coat had a slight outline of muscles. For a dog like her, her slender and fit body gave her more leverage than a dog that was made for running, or a dog made for fighting.

Alaska || Female || 3 Years || Siberian Husky || Mentions: Indirectly- Darkblood Pack || Location: Headquarters

The alaskan husky thought it would be nice to take a walk out of the Softcall forest, and indeed she did. Taking a confident stroll, she didn't realize she was heading directly to Darkblood headquarters. Her mind had drifted off to thinking about butterflies and what had happen to them. They were her favorite flying creatures when she was barely a year old. Thinking about the past, all the cannibalistic dogs tearing at eachother, made her sad at the thought. She would no longer see her owners, or her brother who was part of a raid. He had attempted to eat Alaska, and she wouldn't have none of that. Instead of letting him, she led her only blood into a trap of ready to fall rocks. There, she watched in true horror as boulders fell on top of the now dead malamute husky mix. She herself, wasn't fast enough to get away from the avalanche of rocks before one had scarred her leg forever. In the cold, it was hard to walk because it would become irritating and sore.

Alaska zoned back into the world, reality. She noticed she was no where near the forest anymore and her heart sunk as she found that she was directly outside of the Darkblood's headquarters. Alaska always feared they'd find her hiding in a den at night, sleeping and they'd quickly smuggle her away to torture her until she gave up with life. The cream and brown husky took a few steps back in curiosity and of course, fear.

Miju|| Female||3years||Saluki||
Mentions:Cherokee
Area:amusement park

Miju didn't flinch as the dog turned and snapped at her. The thing looked as if it's mouth is ready to explode with frothy saliva. After a while of silence, she spoke "Why, I'm sure I'm looking at one no different mutt than I am." She replied. She stood still from where she had been standing, she could easily outrun this dog, but if it catches her, she'd be good as dead. However, knowing her body is nearing itms limits, she held her ground. She needed something to eat badly and this time, she'd be willing to die for it.

Her chocolate eyes hardened as she stared down the dog "You don't sound like a happy fellow. Are the demons in your mind tweaking your imagination?" She asked. She's heard the 'my demons compelled me" phrase used several times as a way of saying "the little voices in my head told me to" she found it funny how that reference would've been used properly by her today. She's never been too fond of skittish dogs, they're quick to snap and bite and slow to wake from dream and sights making them quite dangerous and difficult to cope with.

Kade || 3 years || Female || Doberman Pinscher
Location: Headquarters
Mentions: Roman

Kade nodded as Roman assured her that the Terrors weren't real. When she'd first arrived, she had thought they were, however, and sometimes she forgot. "They're always bad in the warehouse-" she started to say, but was startled by the massive rat. Things like that were there, as it was really the place whatever radioactive shit that happened had gone down at. Speaking around the rabbits was easy, but she wouldn't have been able to defend herself if Roman hadn't been there. He may have not expected to automatically go to protect her, but the Doberman was used to it.

Because Roman was in her dreams. Mostly, she had incredibly lucid nightmares, in which the Terrors attempted to kill her. For some reason, they'd never been able to, but a few months after arriving at Chernobyl, the Tamaskan had just showed up. He seemed to hate both her and the Terrors, but eventually, in a not-bad nightmare, Kade got him to talk to her, to understand that she wasn't going to hurt him, and then they'd fought the Terrors together. It was all very strange, really, and she'd always assumed Roman was just a dream-thing, but then she actually met him and it turned out he was not. He was real. It didn't matter if he died in dreams (though Kade was fairly certain that if she died, she wouldn't wake up) as he could just get back up, and he protected her. It hadn't happened in reality yet, however.

"Oh, dear," Kade muttered around the rabbits. "Well, thank you for not letting that thing kill me. I think we should leave now."

Loon | Male | 4 Years | Great Dane | Loner
Mentions: Vera

Loon perked an ear to listen to the noises coming from inside the den. His blue and amber eyes peered down into the darkness, waiting for something to surface. He even braced himself in case it came flying out at him, intent on ripping out his throat, but anything small enough to fit into that hole probably wasn't any sort of match for him.

The head that popped out was white and fluffy, with just a few patches of black marring the top of her head. Her eyes matched her icy voice, and he wished he could grin to show that he wasn't a threat, but he couldn't, so he wagged his tail instead, his face remaining completely blank.

“Why, to see if you needed help, young lady,” he said in the most innocent voice he could muster. “I scented your wound. If it hasn't stopped bleeding yet, it needs to be tended to.” Loon had learned a tiny bit about herbs, but not a whole lot. He knew pressing a leaf against a wound would help it clot and close up, but it could be difficult to do when you were alone. Plus, the wound didn't smell like it was in great condition. “If you let me help you with it, I'll go away.”

NORTH | MALE | 4 YEARS, 5 MONTHS | BEAUCERON
Location: Darblood Camp
Mentions: Jax, Checkers, Vera, Alaska

North felt a lack of satisfaction at his subordinate's lack of respect. For a moment he stood there, picturing himself lunging at the wolfish canine and embedding his teeth into the supple flesh of his neck. Of course by doing so they'd make little progress with the task at hand and he wasn't about to waste any more time- or give Checker's what he wanted, a further reaction. With his tail remaining high and dominant behind him, he turned and motioned to them with a nod of his head and a snap of his teeth. "Let's get on with it."

He had to force himself not to recoil with a growl as his first step out of their camp resulted in his front paw sinking into a puddle of murky water. The weather outside had not let up in the slightest and was still frigid and filled with streaks of rain. Though he wasn't a fan of the cold or the dampness of it all, flawing his pelt with mud and grit didn't phase him one bit. North was known for a rather tribal looking display of smearing scarlet across himself after a successful kill, whether it be after a meal or after the slaying of a dog who had been unfortunate enough to cross his path. If things ended up like they usually did on their outings, North would probably trot right back into camp with his usual morbid markings. Intent on reaching the warehouse quickly, North lifted his head and stalked onwards, not paying attention to anything around him- Jax and Checkers would take care of anything in the area that needed interrogation or investigation. Though it wasn't long until a scent had him slowing his gait and pricking his ears. Female. He turned his head, his eyes locking on the petite form of an unfamiliar but feminine dog. She was a pretty little thing, with vibrant blue eyes and a lightly-coloured coat, and she was noticeably nervous. Fear held her features together a little too tightly, and North couldn't help but draw his lips back in amusement. No need to be so timid, little lady. She had been bold enough to wander almost right outside their living quarters, a brave move indeed. Or perhaps a stupid one. Regardless, the large brute was unable to take his eyes off her. His pack consisted mostly of males, aside from the pretty little Laika named Vera who half the time he didn't even recognize as one of her own. Sure, she'd be useful for producing offspring for him, but North was rather uninterested. "What is a lovely girl such as yourself doing wandering alone in the rain?" Giving his companions a brief glance, he stalked forward, his broad form halting in front of the siberian husky for a few moments before he proceeded to slowly circle around her. "Especially in these woods- don't you know there are monsters out here?" His grin widened.

Cherokee || Female || 3 Years || Greenland Dog || Mentions: Miju

Cherokee stared down Miju with an unamused hard stare. "Who said anything about demons, ma'am? What do you even want because certainly, you're not here just to humor me. Yeah?" The broad, yet slender she-dog waited impatiently for an answer. In the mean time, she made sure to get a good reminder of where the exits were in case she had to make an escape. "To be honest, I don't want to get into another fight so if you need shelter, or food or whatever, I can help you and then be on my way."

Alaska || Female || 3 Years || Siberian Husky || Mentions: North

The petite husky was well aware she had stumbled into some trouble. Quickly, the scent of fear was masked, a bold jolt of adrenaline emitting from her as she noticed a dark, tall brute approach her. The sadistic grin on his muzzle was enough to warn her. Ears pinned back, she found it quite rude of him trying to scare the siberian. "Monsters?" Alaska scoffed, "What monsters? I don't see no monsters. All I see is a pack of dogs who ravish in the fear of others." She raised her head bravely, narrowing her golden brown eyes as she stared the brute dead in the eyes. Alaska resorted to her snappy attitude, but also with caution. She was indeed outnumbered and if need be, they could take her head on. The husky didn't like that idea, she'd rather stay a free bird.

Miju|female|3 years|Saluki
Mentions:Cherokee

Miju raised a brow as the she-dog looked at her "Well ma'am," she began her eyes staring at the dog "You're quite... Stiff for a dog that's quite sure she's alone." She called down before trotting to a safe distance from the canine before starting again "And everyone needs some food in these parts, you're looking like a hella good meat at the moments from my eyes." Her eyes trailed around the area, not a single soul was present but them "And how you think of providing food? Not a single damned thing is alive but you and me on the spot. Tell you what, I've been hearing some restlessness around a certain areas not to far from here, some are startin' to say it's some dogs roundin' each other up to start a civil pack, how about you and me go check it out? Pretty sure they can solve that demon problem of your's." She spilled. She hadn't really bothered listening to Cherokee's reply, but a new bulb had lit in her mind, perhaps with a... Delusional dog, she might be able to suvive this place after all, that is, if this one is willing to cooperate.

Vera | Female | 2 Years Old | Yakutian Laika | Chernobyl Darkbloods | Subordinate
Location: Softcall Forest | Mentions: Directly - Loon / Indirectly- Drogo (NPC), Sasha (NPC)

“If you let me help you with it, I'll go away.”

Vera highly doubted that. The mostly white female had learned from a young age you couldn't trust a dog you didn't know. Sometimes even then it was questionable. How many times had her own mother almost torn her to shreds? On how many occasions had she laid cowering at her father's paws as he relentlessly tormented her? She had no siblings and that was solely due to the fact they had not survived her violent parents. She could barely even remember their names or what they had looked like. The fact that Drogo and Sasha were still lurking around somewhere sent another shiver down her spine. "What's in it for you? Why would you want to help me?" She challenged the Dane, the suspicion clear in her tone.

Jax // Male // 3 years // GSDXDoberman // Darkblood member
Mentions: North, Checkers, Alaska

Jax grimaced at Checkers's actions... honestly the dog was going to get himself killed someday. Not that Jax cared, but still, it would be one less pack member to guard their territory. Calling North 'princess'? Anyone else would have gotten themselves killed, but North stood it with Checkers. Why, Jax could not tell. He was glad when their little group actually set off from their little camp area. He stayed a few paces behind North, respecting his position as Alpha, though still keeping up. Ahead of them was what appeared to be a female husky, on THEIR territory? He let out a soft growl, but stopped when North started speaking to her. Ugh, already he was lustful over her it seemed. Jax could have groaned. He sat down to wait when North glanced back at him, deciding that it would be best to keep quiet, rather than protest. North was the boss after all. He glanced over at Checkers, who appeared to be muttering to himself or... something. Boring, Jax glanced around, looking for anything that might hold his interest for more than a few seconds. It came when the husky opened her mouth, sassing back to North that he became interested in the exchange... would North laugh or kill her? Jax had seen how foul of mood he'd been in earlier... It wouldn't be surprising if he ripped her throat out. He padded over to Checkers, a grin on his jowls. "Half my dinner says he at least snaps at her for that remark..." He glanced over at the Tamaskan, wondering if he'd take the bet.

|Checkers|Male|Tamaskan Dog|4 Years old|Darkblood|
Location: Darkblood Headquarters | Mentions: North, Jax, Alaska

As soon as Checkers started after North, it was like someone hit a switch. It was like a coal of hatred had been in his heart, and it had abruptly lit. He instantly stopped grinning, and suddenly he wanted to bite North's tail for snapping at him. Sure, North was the leader, but he should damn well appreciate Checkers. Checkers was a great fighter, and he could get someone to run away from him just by smiling his normal smile - it wasn't his fault everyone thought his grin looked insane. As North was looking away, he missed Checkers's laser-glare at his back. Checkers also wanted to tear Jax's nose off for that look on his face.
When they met up with the female, Checkers stepped around North to get a look at her. He wanted to scoff at her audacity - North would probably rip her face off for saying that. Or better yet, let Checkers do it. He wanted to let off some steam. If he wasn't allowed to attack her, then there was always Jax. He was right there, after all. Checkers could leap at him with ease. But he would rather attack the female more than Jax.
Feeling like a guard dog that was being held back, Checkers lowered his head and resorted to staring at the female. Just, staring. Darkly, without blinking at all. That look alone could get a weaker dog shivering in terror. If she was smart, she'd run away before North decided she wasn't worth conversing with. Because Checkers would be on her with his teeth flashing the second North muttered a command.

Loon | Male | 4 Years | Great Dane | Loner
Mentions: Vera

Loon wished the words this dog spoke surprised him. He missed the days of being surprised, not knowing what others would say when he offered help. Perhaps he had simply been there too long and needed to move on. Until then, though, he had a little lass he needed to convince.

“Not everyone out here is a monster, miss,” he said gently, his wagging tail slowing to a stop. There was no need to keep up the act if she wasn't going to jump for it right away. “The only thing in it for me is to know I helped you in some way, no matter how insignificant.” But nothing is truly insignificant, he thought, making himself grin inside his chest since he couldn't on his face. It lit up his eyes, too, and possibly made him seem more welcoming, though that's always up to whoever is looking into those eyes.
