This is probably just a nitpicky thing, but ah well. Whenever you go to reply to a thread, the box "receive updates when posts are made" or some such is auto-checked, meaning unless you uncheck it every time you post in a thread, you will receive updates to every thread you ever post in. I, personally, find this a bit irritating. Yes, I could uncheck it every time, but seeing as I'm not going to want to subscribe to the majority of threads I reply in, I think it would be better to just leave it unchecked and let us check it when we really want to subscribe to a thread. Or maybe I'm being fussy. |

Yeah I agree, this has always bugged me a little as well. It's not a huge deal, just a small quality-of-life thing. Dunno why it's automatically checked, subscribing seems like something that's more of an afterthought... for me I usually don't do it at all, because I just look at my "Recent Activity" and everything that is currently relevant to me is usually there ![]() |

Support. It annoyed me to the point of only going on threads I want to subscribe to. You're not the only nitpicky one:) ![]() |

I like the auto-subscribe box. ;o; Maybe, if some people don't prefer it, there can be a thing to turn it on/off in the Edit Your Details in the den? I mean, they have ways to enable/disable screen-shaking during battle, and a way to hide your forum posts. Maybe they can make a way for everyone to have a choice of whether they want the subscribe box auto-checked or not? ![]() Edited on 30/12/15 @ 23:35:10 by Saeginko (#34696) |

i agree, you should definitely be able to toggle whether it's checked by default. the only threads i really want notifications for are my own threads, so it's a hassle having to uncheck the box every. single. time, especially for very active threads like forum games. ![]() |
