Unseen magic has begun its work here. The descendants and allies of King Galbatorix himself have begun to rise - as if the King himself is returning. The days of the dragon riders have begun once again, and we must rise to destroy the threats that have begun to surface. Rise, my brave warriors and Dragon Riders, and we shall fight once more. The Riders The Riders are men and women who are bonded to a dragon. They are bonded for life; when a dragon dies, his rider lives on. When a rider dies, however, so does their dragon. Riders are skilled in both aerial and ground combat once fully trained, and can conduct magic from their bond with their dragon. Elves have a higher chance of being chosen, although most riders will be human. Riders: (6/6) Lyanna Firenze-Partner: Belynda (Calla N.) Lyanna Firenze || 55 || Elf-Human Hybrid || Partner: Belynda || Location: The Spine || Mentions: Nobody Lyanna's eyes were hurting from the soft, white glow of the rock in front of her. A simple horse ride through the forest had not gone well for her today; she had accidentally taken the wrong route and ended up absentmindedly riding into the Spine, a place she had never wanted to go. She had been captivated by the white stone lying in the grass, and immediately climbed off her black horse to get it. Her horse, Fax, whinnied nervously, kicking back with his hind legs, as if he was wanting to leave her, but he couldn't. "Calm down Fax, it's just a stone. What could be so dangerous about a stone?" She asked dreamily, her eyes locked on it. She reached out a hand and brushed the surface; it was smooth, almost like an egg, come to think of it. She wanted it. She knew it wasn't meant to be here, and she knew it was her destiny to take it. She snatched it from the ground like a thief and high-tailed it to her horse, swinging a leg over his back and kicking him into action. He whinnied nervously once again and stamped his hooves, bucking slightly in a half-hearted attempt to throw her off. She buried her fingers in his mane and rode him into town, ignoring the looks from people as they stared at her blank expression, wondering why the hell a girl of her age would be so intent on reaching her bar. She threw open the door to the bar she owned, not even bothering to put her horse back in the tables. She took an empty seat at the back of the empty bar and sat down, sitting the rock on the table. She sat at the table and stared at it, completely enraptured, like a lovestruck little yearling. (I had no idea what to write for a first post...lol, hope I didn't completely fail.) 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 24/01/16 @ 12:46:43 by Calla N.<<Legolas's Girl (#76766) |

Radia Karrant-Female-Rider Radia swung off of her horse-- Pennila. She ran into her house and dropped her bag of coins on the table for her mother. She dashed into her room and grabbed her bow and quiver filled with arrows. She searched around her room for her dagger. "Where is it?" She whispered, angrily, to herself while tearing apart her room. She spotted a movement in the corner. She ran over to see what it was. Just a rat. "Ugh!" She groaned, annoyed. She ran to the door and grabbed her deerskin shoulder back. It had some coins in it, a spare pair of deerskin pants, and a shirt. It would have a dagger in it, too, but Raz couldn't find the thing! She ran into the kitchen and found the bloody dagger on the table with a paper under it. Sorry, had to borrow this for something. ~Lindel. Radia held back from finding her older brother and beating him for stealing her dagger. It had a five inch blade with a sheath to go with it. The handle was crafted with various metals and cloth. It was the most expensive thing Radia owned. If she lost it, she would flip. She crumpled up the note and left it on the table. She was already late enough as it was. She had to head out and go on the hunt. Or else her family would go hungry... Again. Radia went outside, and headed out into the woods, past the pastures and fields. There was a lake that Radia planned on going to to fill up on water and rest. She didn't bother with a horse. None of the horses could clearly navigate the forest as well as Raz could on foot. Mentions- N/A Open Other- Will continue her story on next post. I will post Cobal later. Where do Warrior's live? Mobil 0 players like this post! Like? |

Enchanta +++++++ The cave was cold and damp, but, Enchanta could not feel any of that. She was savely tucked away in an egg, hidden by shadows and rocks. She could not think, not realize, she would soon be facing a danger, one that her and others would have to face togeather, but till then. She was tucked away in an egg. Left to sleep till her rider found her. In a cave, hidden by rocks and shadows. {{Yep its short, but she's an egg!}} 0 players like this post! Like? |

Zircon / Dragon (Egg) / Male / The Spine / Mentions: Ronan Barlowsson ________________________________________________________________________________ The egg The egg would lay in a pile of rocks. It had a smooth, glass-like appearance with purple and black patterned on the surface. It resembled obsidian, but it was colorful and so round that it could almost be part of a royal or rich man's jewelry, although it was too big. This stone was no stone, however. It was a genuine dragon egg, containing a dragon that would change someone's life without a doubt. -- Evelyn Forestyne / Werecat / Warrior / Female / 23 years / Lake Isenstar / Mentions: Open for interaction ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The werecat, currently in cat form, would pad across the beach of the lake, yawning in a cat-like manner. She was an abnormal werecat. Although she was the normal size for one, she was shorter-haired than other werecats and had a pattern on her pelt that resembled a leopard. 0 players like this post! Cobal Ventch-Male-Warrior Cobal walked out of the tent he was currently staying in. He could Snell the surrounding pines, and other various trees. He was on his way to Gil'ead and was passing the spines. This place seemed safe enough, so he put up camp here. He walked around and picked up sticks and branches to make another fire with. Once he gathered enough, he went back to his tent and found a charred spot from the night before. He laid the wood on top of it and got out a match to start the fire. The wood started blazing, smoke filling the air. He took out some salted meat from a bag in his tent and put it on a flat rock slab. He then threw the rock with the meat on it into the fire so that it would cook. Cobal wasn't exactly a fan of raw meat. He sat next to the fire and started sharpening his knives and daggers. His sword lay in his tent just a few feet away. Mentions- N/A Open Radia-Female-Rider Radia picked her way through the woods. She hadn't found anything, and a clearing was up ahead, signalling that she was close to the lake Isenstar. For some reason-- she couldn't tell-- Raz almost felt... drawn towards the lake. Radia wasn't one to believe in fate or anything of the sorts. She wouldn't believe in magic, even, if it weren't for faint traces of wizardry in Lindel. Apperantly their father had a little magic in him, too, and it had passed down to Lindel. Not Radia. She didn't care though. She didn't believe in supernatural things or any of that. She didn't even believe in dragons. They were just old wives tales, scaring kids from trying anything nasty. Raz walked out into the clearing, and up ahead-- a little less than a mile or so-- Lake Isenstar lay, flat and like glass. The wind blew ripples on the surface of the lake, and the sun left a glow... Or... That definitely wasn't the sun. It was almost an eerie blue color. Radia got her bow out and notched it with an arrow. She started running towards the lake. What was it? When Radia finally made it there, she peered out into the water. The glow seemed to be coming from a ways in. Was it the sun reflecting off of something? The sun wouldn't have been able to make it all the way down there. Radia looked around. No one was near or watching. They wouldn't have been able to see it. She took her bag off and threw her bow, quiver, bag, and jacket onto the ground. She took off her shoes and placed them next to the rest of her belongings. She tied her hair back with a rag, and walked into the water. It was freezing. The higher up her body it got, the more she wanted to run away. But maybe, just maybe, whatever was glowing could be sold. Radia could get the money and leave town, go somewhere new. Maybe send Lindel off to apprentice someone. When the water was up to Radia's neck, she ducked under and started swimming. She went lower, and lower. She kept her eyes closed most of the time, only opening them to see where the glow was coming from. She made it down to the bottom, and searched around for the stone. Her lungs were starting to hurt. She groped around with her hands in the sand, trying to find the glowing stone. She opened her eyes, found the stone, and held onto it like it was her own life. It was a good size, and egg like in shape. By now, Radia's lungs were starting to burn. She grabbed the stone and kept it close to her chest, laying it above her breasts. She brought her feet down to meet the Sandy ground, and with all her light, pushed up with her legs. She closed her eyes, feeling the water cascade down her body. She used her open hand/arm to propel her forward, and kicked her legs back and forth. The egg was making it harder to move. Radia started letting bits of her breath out, her lungs hurting more and more. She kept kicking and pushing until, finally, her head broke serface. She took a deep breath in, and let it out, panting. Her lungs were sore, her arms and legs feeling like jelly, and her ears hurt. She started swimming towards shore, using up the last of her energy. She was still gasping, trying to keep her head above the water. She crawled to shore, on her hands and knees the whole time. When she finally made it to grass, she dropped the egg, dragged the rest of her body onto shore, and fell onto her side. She closed her eyes. It was cold. Her body started shivering. Radia fell asleep, coldness and darkness surrounding her. Mentions- Salanthis Other- Mobil 0 players like this post! Like? |

Evelyn Forestyne / Werecat / Warrior / Female / 23 years / Lake Isenstar / Mentions: Radia, Open for interaction ______________________________________________________________________________________________ The werecat continue to travel across the sand, before coming across a young girl asleep next to the water. Evelyn slowly approached, looking over her and seeing the strange stone. Hmm, diving, eh? It appeared to be an artifact to her, but she wasn't evil, and wouldn't take from the girl. Expecting her to be cold, Evelyn transformed, carefully dragging her away from the water, trying to not disturb her rest. Then she would put together a small fire, and since it was cloudy near the lake, the smoke would be a small bit less noticeable. Briefly she would go hunting, finding a squirrel and bringing it back to cook it over the fire. Hopefully if and when Radia woke up, she wouldn't freak out too much. An armored stranger suddenly giving food and protection to you was unusual. The more she thought about this, she found a large, non-toxic leaf and put the roasted rodent, resting it next to the girl. Finally, she transformed and ran into the treeline, staying out of view but intending to guard her from a distance. Maybe staying out of sight would be better. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Radia-Female-Rider Radia felt herself being dragged, and gripped onto the egg. She welcomed the heat of the small rock. When her body came to its senses, her mind was still sleeping, and her eyes wouldn't open, nor would her mind allow her to wake up completely. She couldn't bring herself to open her eyes, even though she was internally panicking. Who was there? What was happening? Unfortunately, Radia's pleas for answers wouldn't come true, sleep over came her. Multiple times, Radia heard rustlings of something near. Something in the near forest. And a fire was crackling near by. Raz finally opened her eyes. She was on the ground, a fire blazing bear by. She shot up, onto her feet. Her hand groped to her side, looking for a knife or something, but nothing was there. Her hands and arms were numb from holding the rock, and she felt weak and a bit dizzy. She looked down to find the egg on the ground where Radia once laid. She looked back over towards the lake, spotting her back, weapons, and shoes. She picked up the rock, and started making her way towards her belongings, her senses open to any movements, though she was limited to only a walk at the moment. Her legs felt like that would support her, but they felt better than they did before, and her lungs had started to calm. Her mind was clearing bit by bit. She had to get to her things. How long had she been out? It couldn't have been too long. Maybe an hour or so? Radia kept glancing back, checking over her shoulder. She felt like someone was out there... There obviously was, she realized. How had the fire gotten there, and what about the rodent? Mentions- Salanthis, Evelyn Other- Mobil 0 players like this post! Like? |

Zircon / Dragon (Egg) / Male / The Spine / Mentions: Ronan Barlowsson ________________________________________________________________________________ The egg Zircon felt something, although unaware of the world outside. The egg would warm up to an odd yet comfortable temperature for a "rock," when Ronan lifted it. It was heavy, approximately a pound, more or less. Poor Ronan's life would never be the same. -- Evelyn Forestyne / Werecat / Warrior / Female / 23 years / Lake Isenstar / Mentions: Radia, Open for interaction ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Evelyn had been waiting, almost asleep, at the edge of the woods for a while. She noticed the girl had come to her senses, standing up and stretching in that weird cat way. Slowly, and cautiously, she emerged by a few feet, staring at Radia, whiskers twitching. Then she would transform and wave, smiling. "'Ello there." The blonde said. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Radia-Female-Rider Radia jumped when someone came out from the forest. She was smaller than Raz. By at least five inches, if not more. Radia's eyes were a bit larger than usual when she popped out, shock on her face. "Uh, hey." She stammered out, lingering on the 'uh' for a tad too long. "Wh-who are you?" She asked. All through this, Radia couldn't help but notice the stone. It didn't seem like a stone. It couldn't have produced a light as bright as it had if it were just a normal stone. And it had warmed up, and was now cooling down. It seemed almost... content. How could that be, though? Radia kept the egg close to her side, the chipped side facing out. It's colors vibrant against Radia's plain taught green-tinted shirt and black leggings. Her skin had white reflections on it from the stone and the sunlight reflecting off of it.
