Long ago, a lioness cried in anguish over the child she had lost to a rival male. Her mate, also slain by the rival, had failed to protect them from the danger. As was per custom for lions, the rival was to rule over the lioness' lands. However, she had other plans. During the battle for dominance, other lionesses had died in a vain attempt to protect their own cubs. The take over was sloppy and many of the deaths were needless. The former mother refused to obey her new overlord, rejecting him whenever he drew near her. Days went by and the new ruler was losing his grip on the pride he never truly held while the vengeful lioness whispered plans to her sisters.

Under the cover of night, one by one, the lionesses slowly pulled away from the new ruler. In the morning, he'd find that his pride had left him. Making him a rogue once more.

Life went on and many generations passed within the now wandering pride. The pride's faces changed and their landscapes changed as well, always moving into new territories whether they were welcomed or not. The only thing that stayed the same was the spirit their founder had given to them. From that lioness came forth more lionesses who refused to allow another lion rule over them, refusing the death that came with every take over.

In this pride sisters protect brothers.

The Wandering Pride is a pride set in Lioden's world and lore. That said, you don't need to actually own a lion that looks like your character, but do avoid using lions that other people own.

Rules

1- Lioden's site rules MUST be followed.
-Only scenes for the site's +16 crowd are allowed
-Here we believe that when a mommy and daddy loves each other very much a stork comes over and gives them their magic baby from the magic baby store. We love to fade to black.

2- Lions/Lionesses from other prides/clans are allowed to come join the Wandering Pride's RP thread and visit (or even join if that character comes from an inactive group). I want this group RP to become a part of Lioden's community of Pride/Clan RPs.

3- Wandering Pride encourages you to make up your characters, you don't have to have the lion you're playing in your Pride but if it is, that's cool too.
-You CANNOT play a lion/character that belongs to someone else. That's a no-no. Even if it was previously yours, you gave it up and now belongs to someone else.

4- The Wandering Pride does not own a piece of territory, it's like a band of vagabond rogues except it's mostly made up of lionesses.

5- Only Lionesses may be in positions of power. Males are deemed as too violent to rule properly and peacefully, unfortunately.

6- Male lions do have a ranks specific to them though they don't hold any true power.

7- Mutations are highly desirable, that's why there are only five mutants allowed in this pride.

8- Everyone may only have 2 characters with a high rank.

9- Minimum Word Count is 100 words. So about a paragraph.
-Don't write in first person, that works in books but not in RPs. Only third person is allowed.

1- Blu (over grown mane)
2- Ajamu (maneless)
3- Eriawen (folded ears)
4- Renegade (extra toes)
5- Chui (overgrown teeth)

Female Ranks
Queen- The supreme ruler {taken by Darth}
Lady- The secondary ruler(sometimes lover/wife) {taken by ShortyMcshorty}
Advisor- Councils the rulers over important decisions. Can also rule by persuasion if they're ambitious enough. {taken by Rainy Day}
Heiress- The Queen's successor. {taken by Smew}
Majordomo- Takes care of the Queen's children whether they're male or female, also takes care of the Queen's business and is the first subordinates must go through to speak to the queen. {taken by Dina}
Sisters-Lionesses who do not hold any ruling ranks, they hunt and take care of the each other's cubs as well as fight for the pride should it be threatened. Still, sisters are rank higher than the highest ranking male.


Male Ranks
Consort King- Fathers the Queen's cubs and is sometimes the Queen's lover/husband. Is the highest ranking male, speaks for the other males in to pride to the Queen. {taken by Imperial Disease}
Sire- Can father the Lady's cubs and is sometimes the Lady's husband.
Gladiator-Knight- Trains both males and females the art of combat. He is treated by respect by many though he isn't the highest ranking member. {taken by PyroLion}
Heir- The successor of the title Consort King when Heiress takes over.
Assistant- As the name says, this lion assists the majordomo in child rearing the royalty and also tends to the Consort's and Sire's needs.
Brothers- Subordinate males. They do the same jobs as the Sisters, but have no power though the Consort King does speak for them.
