The Rp thread is finally Here!! PLEASE DON'T BE INTIMIDATED BY THE AMOUNT OF WORDS, ITS SIMPLER THAN YOU THINK Yes, It's another Rp, but I just love them so much! And Ive always wanted to do one like this X3 so there :The Plot:A pack of wild dogs have lived for generations on the outskirts of a large city. They have thrived in the wood and have true hearts of wilderness. But something went wrong, something horrible. A sickness fell over the humans of the city, and killed them all off, leaving their prized and loved pets behind. The dogs are untouched by the sickness, but it has pierced their hearts. The city dogs must learn the ways of becoming wild, they will have to resort to the near pack, but will they accept them? Will the pack agree to help them? The dogs that escaped from the City have formed a small group of dogs that must strive to survive with out their pets bowls and brushes. The ones that haven't made it to the group are called loners, dogs that don't belong to neither group nor pack. They must struggle and suffer more than any abandoned dog. Though some loners have been rouges even before the sickness wiped out the humans. The group, the pack, and the loners will have to work together to survive, whether they like it or not. :Rules:
:The Territory:The Dogs have named the abandoned City "The Stone Forest" and This Is the gist of what it looks like in the summer and spring, its very warm and green. This is what it looks like for Winter and most of Fall, its almost always cold and snowy. The place is very overgrown with animals of all sorts roaming the areas. Even the occasional Bear can be spotted prowling the alley ways and roads. There are a few places the dogs are most familiar with, such as the Rail roads and the Abandoned mall. The Wild pack lives on the outside of the Stone Forest, a a beautiful wood filled with prey, but you must be skilled in order to catch it. In the winter it become covered with a thick layer of Snow. The well know areas include The River Which is a primary hunting spot, and the Paw Print Way which can be used to find your way home any where you are. Sometimes dogs walk on it just to feel the wind and fresh scents in their fur. :The Wild Pack:The pack mostly consists of heavily furred dogs that lose their heavy coats in the spring and throughout summer. They are protective of each other and unpredictable. These dogs are a very organized group with rankings and responsibilities. Every pack-member contributes to the pack in their own way, and in return have protection, family, and friends. The pack treats every dog as family, from the lowest rank to the highest rank, no-one is left behind. :RANKS: Many people have different meanings for ranks, these are the definitions i personally use and what will be used for this RP. High Rankings: Alpha (1-2) - Usually there are two within a pack, although sometimes there is only one. However there can only be one of each gender holding this position. They are dominant over all the rest of the pack and what they say should be considered law within their pack. They take an interest in what goes on in their pack and if they've been away for any length of time look to the Beta to learn of what goes on in the pack. (Leaders) Beta (1-2) - There may be one or two in a pack, one of each gender. They may or may not be mates and are second in command. When neither alpha are around they take charge as it is the responsibility that falls to them. The Beta is there in order to test the Alpha in skirmishes which are never truly serious and results in little to no damage of either dog. Although there may come a time when the challenge is serious. (Second in Command) Gamma (1-2) - Those holding this position are usually if not always the oldest and wisest of the pack. Through their stories and their phrases they pass on to the others within the pack their wisdoms. They delight in telling stories to pups though sometimes what they tell is just legend, but still each story usually has some sort of moral to it. At one time they may have been the Alpha and usually that is true. However the current Alphas may put others here should it seem right to them. There is usually only one or two who fill this position and normally only one of each gender, especially if they were a prior Alpha pair. Those who hold this position are much respected and loved by the rest of the pack. (Elders) Delta (1-4) - They are the messangers of the pack, the go between among the allies and sometimes even the axis. They risk their own lives by doing so, but it is their duty and must make sure that those who need to know are told. Sometimes they work in conjunction with the Upsilon. Those who seek this position must be agile, patient and have an even temperment while speaking with other packs. (Messangers) Epsilon (1-2) - They are the Gaurdians of the pack. Their job is to ward off intruders and are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the pack. They should have at one time been either an Zeta, Eta or Iota for they will need the skills of peace and fighting. Though they should only resort to violence should peaceful persuasion fail. (Gaurdian)s Zeta (1-3) - The Lead warriors of the pack. They take direct orders from the Alpha in case of a fights/battles. The Alpha may be the one to declare war, but the Zeta leads the army and plan the plans for attack. They also train new recruits for position as a Eta and Eta or more to take his or her place in future. Normally there is only a single Zeta, but if the populace is high there can be as many as three. (Lead warriors) Eta (2-8) - There are at least two in a pack. The Eta are the warriors of the pack. They are led by the Zeta or the Epsilon during skirmishes and wars. Although they will take orders from the Alpha or other higher ranks if given, but the Alpha's above all. (Warriors) Theta (1) - They are the lead medics within the pack, therefore it is they that the Iota aspire to be. (Lead Medic) Iota (1-2) - They are the medics of the pack, knowledgable in herbology. They have vast knowledge upon what plants and other natural resources will help cure and heal others. (Medics) Kappa (1-2) - They are the lead hunters in the pack. Normall there is only one, though sometimes there are two depending upon how large the pack is. They lead the packs hunts when the Alpha or the Beta when substituting tell them to. They make sure that the entire pack is well fed and will not starve. They oversee as well, that the pack will have a well balanced diet. (Lead Hunters) Lambda (Unlimited) - They are the hunters of the pack. They follow the Alpha or the Kappa in the hunts. Those who hold this position are loyal and quick to follow orders. They have stealth and agility on their side and together are able to take down larger prey. (Hunters) Mid Rankings: Nu (1-6) - They are the sentries of the pack. Their duty is to keep track of natural resources, finding dens and areas of abundant food for the pack. They also must keep watch of the pack making sure to call the Epsilon, Delta, Lambda or Upsilon. (Sentries) Sigma (1-2) - The Sigma are the Tutors of the pack. They know much about each thing. They often work with the Phi in order to teach the pups as well as the subordinates and others who might need a bit more knowledge within the pack. (Tutors) Tau (1) - The Tau is the lead Scout/Upsilon. They give orders to the Upsilon on whom to spy upon or what packs to look at. They are also known as the best of the Upsilon and only those who've proven themselves may be promoted from Upsilon to this position. However their direct orders come from the Alphas. (Lead Scout) Upsilon (1-4) - The Upsilon are the scouts or spies of the pack. They go into other pack territories in order to find out what's going on. Afterwards they report back to the Alpha and tell them about all that they have seen, even should it just be that pups have been born. They will also report to the Zeta if they were asked to find wolves of their own for battle, or they report to the Alpha pair. (Scouts/Spies). Lower Rankings: Phi (1) - They are the pup sitters of the pack and delight in teaching the young that which they will need in the future. However if a pup gets lost or hurt they are hold accountable should the pup have been under their care at that time. (Pup-sitter) Chi (1) - They are the jester of the pack. They help to make others laugh when things get stressful. They are often helped by the Omegas, but are a higher rank. (Jester) Psi (Unlimited) - These are the subordinates of the pack. Usually new members or yearling wolves start here and must prove themselves before they are given a better ranking. However they need to be careful and achieve a higher ranking least they become the Omega. (Subordinate) Omega (2) - Help to keep everyone happy, are often the last ones to eat. (Lowest Rank) PUP: Pup - They are the young usually born into the pack under the age of one. Depending upon morality and the attitude of a pack as well as the food that is available the number of pups in any pack may vary Yes know its a lot xD,seeing as there are so many, please note that not every rank will be filled!!! :The Group:This group of dogs has no rankings or organization whatsoever. They met up when the humans started to disappear, they take in any dog in need, but have trouble surviving in the wild. It consists of abandoned working dogs, show dogs, family pets, ect. They will struggle to survive and may have to confront the wilds face-to-face. Whether it ends in battle or wagging tails, its coming very soon. They will meet soon. :Loners:Its hard to say anything about them. They come in all colors, shapes, and sizes. They have no pack or Group and will try to survive on their own. They may end up dying alone, or joining a group or pack. I'm pretty sure that the pack and the group are going to meet since it says this in the main post: "They will struggle to survive and may have to confront the wilds face-to-face. Whether it ends in battle or wagging tails, its coming very soon. They will meet soon." I've started working on Tsygan's form, I should have it up soon! Alright, then Tsygan will be an Iota, and he'll develop a crush on Tootsie when the pack and the group meet. I just need to finish off his personality and bio, and then I'll put the form up. Lark is a lover, not a fighter. His last rank was as an Iota, but his family soon realized it may not be the best job for him. Somewhat of an oaf, he always managed to knock over herb piles and forget fairly basic recipes. His size, memory (or lack thereof), and overall need to please left him a mess as he slowly became one of the worst Iotas the pack had ever seen. So when he was offered the rank of Eta he graciously accepted the offer. Here he was able to put his agility and brute strength to work. Though he always struggled with remembering his orders, so long as he could he shined in his role. Lark was later given the rank of Epsilon for his big heart, and love of the pack. Many would say he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, seeing as he can be easily persuaded to listen to anyone's words. Big and bulky, Lark may look like he's willing to bring his fluffy fury on any intruder. Though in reality, he's the exact opposite. He'd much rather use peace to settle something, than violence. Strengths:. He could be considered intimidating by some. One of his strengths is just that, strength. Though he may not be the strongest, or have the most power behind his bite, this big boy can pack a punch when it's needed. He's a big ol' teddy bear to anyone who treats him with a little respect. Weaknesses:. Lark has a horrendous memory, meaning if you want him to do something you better tell him several times and remind him on the way. His massive size can at times cause him to be extremely clumsy. Being easily persuaded, and in charge of guarding a territory generally don't work well together. If you asked someone to describe Kiri in three words they would be hyper, rambunctious, and arrogant. Though she's two years old, she acts like she should still be in the care of a Phi. She often has to be told off by her superiors, for either getting in their way or not listening to them in the first place. She's not the best hunter in the pack, but if you were to ask her, she'd say she was. Kiri may not seem like the type, but she really does try to be her best. She wouldn't admit it, but she's constantly pushing herself to become better than she could ever aspire to be. Strengths:. Though she's on the smaller side for a malamute, size is still on her side compared to a lot of breeds. Kiri rarely tires, and when she does she pushes through it for her ego's sake. Though she may not always act like it, she enjoys every aspect of the hunt and would do anything to not lose her rank. Weaknesses:. She get's easily side-tracked, when she isn't blatantly disobeying her superiors. She is easily triggered, and starts many fights thanks to it.. Kiri is extremely hard on herself when she does something wrong, and often berates herself extensively. Family/relations:. [PM if wanted, I don't bite :)] Mate/crush:.
