Claw padded into Clan territory she she smelled a loner, a cat with nothing but nature's scent and his own.. she sniffed it and saw a striped cat talking to a she-cat. She pricked her ears and listens to the conversation.

" oh , so it is true. She is dead" he meowed. He looked at the two she-cats, two was enough to know that someone was dead. " my half-sister was taken here when she was about 5 months old. My mother told me and my brother about our relative . My mother had one mate at first but then she moved on to another until she found the last cat who cared enough to be caring for kits. One day he was killed by a pack of wild cats and we were sent to the pound. I was the first to get adopted but i don't know if my mom and my brother are still alive. After living with the twolegs for about two moons they started abusing me and they even tried taking my claws out. Thats when i became a loner for the last 6 months" . He sighed as he looked at his paw. " So Honeyripple is my relative... what was she like?".

Her tail flicked, "she was very nice, caring, a great fighter." That's all she knew of the cat. She didn't really know her.. she had always excluded herself from the rest so she never really knew Honeyripple very well..

Tiger looked around suddenly excited , " Hey um .. Icepaw right?" . He licked his paw " can you or atleast someone else atleast show me the territory? I've been so scared to come here but I've seen you sleeping on the edge of the faint scent marks. I would love to have a tour" the tom gave a doubtful, teasing look on his face " unless your too scared.. i mean we don't have too" his mocking eyes flicked over to hers.

She was unphased at his teasing or remarks, she scratched behind her ear with her hind paw, pain still hurting her bad and she was careful of her wound on her shoulder. She looked at him expressionless, "I can give you a tour.. you saw me in my nest close to the border between us and nothing else?" She was curious herself. She stood up and waited for the Tom, showing him around wouldn't hurt anything.

She ran ahead, and once they were out in the forest she slowed down, she padded at a normal pace towards the border. She thought she would tell the new cat about what to avoid and what was OK.

The dark ginger tom with black stripes looked at her, " so first thing is, why do so many of you cats have paw after your name and some have something like Ripplefur or whatever?"

She was amused with the question, "well.. kits have 'kit' at the end of their name because they are kits, apprentices have 'paw' after their name to show that they are apprentices and warriors will have a different suffix such as claw, Fang, breeze etc.. the only one with star at the end of their name is the leader."

Tiger thought for a bit, " hmm, Tigerstar. Sounds nice. " he nodded in approval of the name. . He started purring with laughter. " hey , remember where you sleep? What is the other side of the territory?" He asked .

She flicked her tail, "some two leg nests.. Nothing interesting.." she had thought about running away but chose not to. She would soon enough and no one would be looking for her, she was sure of it.

The tom sat down and licked his paw, his eyes shined. " so , whats up with the cold looks your giving me? Is that supposed to be a greeting? Show some respect!" He purred as he raced up a tree and gracefully jumped after a squirrel. He landed on all fours and dropped it. " you know im only joking, right?".

Her ear flicked, still unphased by his comments, she just looked away to the river. She sat down and curled her tail over her paws, she thought I'm not being cold am I? She stared at the water, watching the ripples.
