He looked at Quickstep when she licked his ear. Basically blushing but, thankfully no cat could see it.. he gave her a smile and a purr, he was trying to hunt at something but, he was never good at it..

Oakpaw- Mentions: Alderfall, Cloudstar, Spottedpaw

Oakpaw nodded at Alderfall's advice. "When Cloudstar has her kits, who is going to lead the clan?" He asked, concerned. "There isn't a deputy yet." Oakpaw's voice then turned joking, "Maybe you can put in a good word for me! I'm fearless!" Oakpaw unsheathed his claws, ruffled his fur and pounced right off the rock, tumbling into Spottedpaw. "oops.." He said, standing and grooming his fur back into place.

Spottedpaw nearly lost her balance, toppling a bit before standing back straight, giving a soft smile at Oakpaw. "It's fine." She meowed, flickering her tail before trotting out of the entrance to go hunt.

He bounced behind the she-cat. "Can I come? Hollyfeather and I didn't catch much this morning and I am ready to get out again!" Oakpaw looked from the nursery to the warriors that were relaxing around camp. "Truthfully, it is rather boring here."

Oakpaw

He trailed excitedly behind Spottedpaw. They got to the field, one he had never been to before. It was covered in thick grass and brush plants. Oakpaw was concerned about how he would be able to move without making noise. He wasn't exactly light on his feet. He fell back a tail length behind Spottedpaw and watched her navigate the foliage, he followed exactly. "You are really good at this" he whispered. They would catch a lot today!

Spottedpaw crocuhed and walked through the tall grass. "Yeah, I know. I practiced this before." She whispered, trying to catch the scent of mice. The odd part is she couldn't smell any but one. "Geeze, im not picking up anything. There hasn't been this much of a shortage since the ground shook."

Oakpaw

He stuck his nose to the ground to see if he could catch scent of anything. The ground was strangely stale. He didn't think Spottedpaw was going to bring him to a barren spot. "Spottedpaw, this is what the ground was like on the other side of the territory this morning, too." His stomach growled, reminding him just how important fresh kill was to the clan.

Darkpaw
He gave a quiet yelp when he bumped into a cat. "Oh! Sorry Hollyfeather! I didn't mean to run into you" he waited a moment to hear what she said, "Um, I dont know let's me see" he meowed. He turned to the herbs and pressed a pad to each leaf in turn. He made three piles, one of the leaves that crumbled when he flattened them, one with the leaves he knew were ok, and a pile of one's he didn't know about. He turned back to Hollyfeather, "Well these are ok" he meowed pointing to the middle pile.

He was surprised, but not worried that she had scared any prey away. Something else had already done that.. "We should go back and tell Cloudstar. Maybe she knows what is happening?"

Quickstep smiled at Whitetail and pushed her kits out of the nursery and into the clearing. She took a deep breath and sighed. "I'm glad you talk to me" she smiled at Whitetail.
