September Event: The Harvest

Alderfall looks over at Quickstep, who seemed to be in a haze. He tried to contain his laughter, but ends up snorting in amusement.
He quickly stops though, remembering that Cloudstar was there. Oops. He looked down at his feet, trying to make it look like what happened not happen. He blinks, noticing that one of his claws are a bit chipped off the top.

CloudStar scoffed "go ahead and get your laughs out. Don't let me stop you" she muttered, but didn't look at him

Alderfall looks up at Cloudstar all of a sudden. "Hmm, I wonder what your laugh sounds like, Cloudstar. It must be scary to hear if you never let it out."
He tries to get her attention, again smiling in amusement.

CloudStar looked back at him finally, but didn't respond to what he said. Instead, she simply sat, her tail curling over her paws while she looked up at the sky

Alderfall
Seeing that she didn't take the bait, he slumps his shoulders. How come he can make any other feline blush but her? He'll have to think of more ways to get her to open up.
Putting down his bird, he says, "Are we just going to stand here with our kill in our jaws, or are we going to do something with our lives and go back to camp?"
He picks up the carcasses, trotting off toward camp, and doesn't look back.

CloudStar sighed, standing and following him. She shook her head, clearing her mind as she grabbed a carcass to carry back to camp. After a few heartbeats, she was back to normal, her mind clear and her harsh gaze back in place of the nervous look that had been there for a few moments after what he had said

Alderfall
Alderfall strolls into camp, seeing that there wasn't much activity going on, as per the usual. He puts his bird down in the fresh-kill pile, going over to his favorite rock and sitting down, licking his pelt clean.
After he finishes, he lies down, thinking of new comments to make to Cloudstar. For some odd reason, he wanted to know more about her. It seems like she didn't always used to be such a grumpy feline, like she used to be happy.
He was determined to find out.

CloudStar padded into camp after AlderFall and set her prey on the pile. The gray-black she-cat padded over to her den, brushing in and curling up in her nest. She rested her tail over her nose, hoping for peace in her den and away from the other cats. She sighed, stretched her fore paws out and digging her claws into the ground near her nest. Her gold eyes focused on something that wasn't there

Alder takes a short nap, thinking of a peaceful world. For some odd reason, the sky was cloudy.
He wakes up, noticing that a bit of time has past, and goes to get his patrol ready.

Quickstep looked up from her "scent trail" and realized that she had been left. *again!?* She huffed under her breath. She didn't understand why she always dazed off and got left behind. "Oh well.." she meowed, catching a glimpse of darting fur. She dashed off and (after time has passed) returned to camp with a light grey mouse in her jaws.

CloudStar, after a while in her den alone, stood and shook moss from her fur, brushing out of the den. She stretched, her gray-black tail flicking while she gazed over the clan, her gaze resting on QuickStep for moment "took you quite a while to return, didn't it? And that's all you got?" the harsh cat meowed roughly, her golden eyes harsh

Alderfall tries to find Quickstep to go on patrol, and sees Cloudstar talking to her harshly. He didn't feel like butting in, so he waits patiently until their conversation is over.

"Yeeeeaaah...I got caught up on one scent trail that led to nothing so...yeah." Quickstep meowed, blushing a little with embarrassment. She quickly recovered and added, "I'll go out again if you want, or whatever you want me to do" she trailed off. She smiled warmly at Cloudstar then padded over and dropped her mouse on the freshkill pile and trotted back.

CloudStar growled "no, it's fine, QuickStep. Go ahead and take a break, i'd say you've had a rough day so far" she meowed. Though she seemed calm, her voice was harsh and her tail was lashing across the ground

"Thanks Cloudstar, but I'll probably go out again anyway, I can't let the clan downn." She meowed and turned to she Adderall watching and padded over. "Hi Aderfall, want to go hunting?" She meowed, still smiling.
