He smiled softly and began to speak, "As most of you know, my dear friend Poisonfur passed away last night in his sleep, he was a young cat to be taken and didn't have an apprentice. We will be missing him dearly for moons to come. As some of you may complain he had no apprentice so we are in danger if a battle wages on. Do not fret, Poppypaw has agreed to take his place as medicine cat. He will make the journey tonight to highstones alone and speak with Starclan, he will return not only with a new rank, but a new name as well." He smiled and dipped his head at the apprentice. "We look forwards to having you as our medicine cat for the next many moons. Now, there is a new threat in Riverclan territory, since Shadeclaw and Sunpaw went missing we are low on warriors, even more so without Ravenheart. There is a fox in the territory, something that Clearfox and Ripplepaw informed me of. I will not send any warriors out today as long as it doesn't approach camp. If it does I will. But if the fox is not gone by tomorrow I will be forced to, I will lead the attack if it comes down to that. On lighter news I have selected Clearfox as my temporary deputy until Shadeclaw and the other come back, though if he is not back in two moons she will be my deputy.
