Foxclaw just couldn't believe it, and shook his head, his grief and sadness quickly turned to anger and quickly snapped at her,"Why didn't you do anything?! How did he get here? Why couldn't he just stake things slow? Though the last sentence was whispered as he turned to look at Maplepaw with sad eyes. He knew he shouldn't blame Clearfox in his head, he knew the dangers the river and tides posed, especially to a quick footed apprentice, but it still it hurt and it was just easier to lash out. He also kinda wished Voidface was here with him, he didn't know why though.

Clearfox

Clearfox flattened her ears, tears starting to come.
She felt guilt, even though she knew it wasn't her fault.
Head down, she goes back to camp to inform Soulstar. She almost wished she never came out of the nursery.

Well, that's ok since its your decision but I just killed my character on Thunderclan so I could add another tom to Thunderclan, and most people do it so other people join or their apprentices can move up. So thats that, I just wanted to explain.

Foxclaw sighed as he watched Clearfox pad away, probably to inform Soulstar that Maplepaw had drown. At that thought, fresh tears were brought to his eyes, and he knew he had to bring him back to camp to the be buried and mourned, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it yet, he had to grieve by himself for a few more minutes so he laid down next to him and buried his nose in his orange shoulder fur and silently prayed to Starclan, wondering why such things happened and to such wonderful cats. After his tears had dried and the only sounds was his own heart beating and the river, he decided it was time. So he stood and grabbed Maplepaw's scruff, which was still wet and his body had gone cold, and carefully began to drag him back to camp, his heart still so heavy.

Whispersong looked up when she heard the commotion just down the stream and she began to walk towards it. "What's going on?" She asks herself as Ravenfeather walked down the other way. She noticed some of her clanmates in the distance, heading back to camp. "H-hey! What happened?!"

He sat there, his ear twitched as he noticed Whispersong padded the other way but decided to keep fishing, leaving the She-cat to do as she would like.

Foxclaw, his heart heavy, had finally returned to camp, he didn't really want to talk to anyone, he just wanted to curl up in his nest, but as he came into camp he heard Whispersong askwhat happened, he knew he couldn't answer, or he might start crying again, so he just shook his head as he laid Maplepaw down in the middle of the clearing and then backed away to let the others see him, as he did he found a shaded place out of the way, wanting to be left alone to mourn his apprentice and he watched , his eyes filled with tears again, shaking his head, he knew he should find Clearfox to apologize but he couldn't bring himself to get up.

Ravenheart comes back from the patrol and sets her food near the pile. She then looks up to the sky to see it start to get cloudy."Thats strange"she says as she then looks for Sunflare or any other warriors.

The calico looked back at the dark tom before following her clanmates back to camp, noticing Maplepaw was dead. She stared at the body for a moment before realizing the apprentice had drowned itself. Probably on accident. Young ones these days... never know when they are putting themselves in danger.

Sunflare

Sunflare reaches the area where Shadeclaw was buried, and walks into the clearing.
Instantly ducking down, he sees a fox digging where he was buried.
Anger and sadness rises in his chest, but he stays still.
He looks up at Starclan. What do I do.. he silently asks.

He could sense the somber atmosphere, he had noticed how bad the air stood still. He just fished, not wanting to disturb anyone. In truth, he always secluded himself from everyone.
