Most wolves would have growled or snapped at anyone who dared to force their control onto a situation, but the moment Itty sidled up against Toby, before eventually moving him out of Ava's direct line of sight, the Beta male could feel nothing but relief. It wasn't that he didn't want to deal with the situation himself, it was just that when it came to communicating (especially with other females in a non-flirtatious manner) Itty was just so much better at it than he was. She could persuade a snake that it was a butterfly, he was sure of it.
As he listened to Itty's explanation, Toby nodded in agreement at any key point, before adding his own take on the situation, plus... well, he did sort of owe her an explanation about the whole name thing. "You're a Lockwood. Every wolf nearby knows who you are." He shrugged, as if such information was general knowledge. "Plus, I can sense your power enough to know that, although you're a Beta, you're not like me; and if I can sense it, I'm sure Kade did too. He's only interested in power. In being feared." Toby explained. "You can look after yourself, I know that, but... what sort of guy would I be if I didn't at least give you a heads up?" Despite the seriousness of his words, the corner of Toby's lips curved into a half smile as he gazed down at Ava. Well, charm was a hard trait to quit, after all.

The last thing Toby wanted was for Ava to think that he was simply some Alpha starved Beta trying to recruit her, for although new pack members were always welcomed, it was as far from the truth as it could get. Especially since wolves weren't the only creatures to watch out for, not in this particular school.

Kade could feel it. The subtle tensing of Brant's boney shoulders beneath his claws. The gentle hammering of his heart against that narrow ribcage. The slow, even breaths the human was taking in order to fight the urge to run. Kade could feel it all, and damn did it ever spur him on.
"You would be so lucky." Kade snorted, his words in response to Brant's complaint about possibly turning into a werewolf. "Unfortunately for you..." He lifted one hand and lightly traced his claws over Brant's fragile collarbone, before trailing them upwards until they were scraping against the sensitive skin of his throat, just hard enough to leave angry red marks on his pale skin. "...pathetic, weedy little humans just aren't my thing." The Alpha paused for a moment as a sinister smirk spread across his lips. "Well, not for turning at least. But you certainly do have other uses." He murmured, ducking his head close enough to Brants ear so that his lips practically brush the other male's ear as he added in a whisper. "As my little meat bag."

Kade had just opened his mouth again whenever the shrill shriek of the warning bell echoed throughout the room, instructing students that they needed to think about heading to class, lest they end up tardy. But, since all Kade had to look forwards to was a one on one session with the new councillor, well, he wasn't too worried about being written up.
"Get up." Kade growled, his lips still against Brants ear as he finally released the smaller male from his deadly grasp. "Time to become re-aquainted with your locker, Brant boy."

Itty shook her had at the Chemistry question Ava ask, and waited for her to carry on. Next period was one of her free periods since she had only signed up for a handful of actual classes, which was funny since they were mostly pre-college or college courses. Most of the teachers didn't enjoy it, but she had maxed her credits so it didn't truly matter.
Pulling Toby to the side of the river that would surely drown them if they were made of lesser stuff, Itty patted his shoulder and sighed softly. "I think our pitch was okay... " She stated, glancing after the female werewolf before directing her attention back on Toby.

She didn't know what to do, truthfully. She wanted a new member, sure, but she didn't think she'd get close to anyone except Toby. They had been a duo of a pack for so long she didn't see how wolves ever had bigger packs. The bigger it was the more company you had, but the more social strain you collected, too. Grumbling to herself, she stepped away from Toby so sigh and rub her temples. Why was she think this all right now? It didn't matter, she'd still have Toby as her packmate when this was all said and done. At least, she hoped. Looking at her wolf companion real quick, Itty's brow furrowed.
"If she joined you wouldn't ditch me would you?" It was a rare voice of the low self-esteem she hid behind her smile and babbling mouth. It wasn't targeted to be offensive towards Tobyor his loyalty, but as a fox she didn't feel like he truly owed her anything. She was a lonesome creature, if he found an actually wolf to call a packmate they didn't really need some kitsune hanging around, did they?
"What's your next class?" Itty quickly shifted topics, trying to cover up the thought she'd voiced. It was a common slight of hand, or tongue, she used when she wanted to get the elephant out of the room.

"Yeah, whatever. You're lucky Itty and Brant aren't here to scare you off like a little whimpering p--" Brant was cut off as he felt Kade's claw trace his collarbone. He wanted to slap the werewolf's hand away, but it wouldn't do much with the claws he was currently using to scare him and ruffle his feathers. The light tracing sent a tickilish feeling through Brant's spine, and his entire torso follow suit in a shiver that caused him to go limp for a few moments. It only made him feel more helpless as he felt Kade's breath on his ear and heard his statement. Allowing himself to cringe away from the wolf, he mentally slapped himself for physically showing fear. Only prey animals backed away, and a predator like Kade would notice it and tease him as well as savor it.

"I'm not standing up even if you bit me." The smaller boy stated thought his gritted teeth; the poor boy was just trying to keep himself from going limp again. It might have been obvious, but he wasn't taking half of Kade's teasing as abusive. It leaned towards a direction the alpha might not take well. He wasn't going to voice to signal it if it meant worse abuse though, so you could count on Brant keeping his trap shut.
Other students were starting to move for the bell, but he knew if he remained seated and Kade forced him up it'd become obvious he was instigating the "bully behavior" that the teachers disapproved of. Not as though it would really help him, since the alpha only cared for authority when it was himself. "Just go to class, you're a thorn in my side. You're an entire Briar Patch of thorns, actually. So shove off."

Despite how well thought out and obviously calculated both Ava's argument and actions were, Toby could not help but feel the urge to further argue his case as the very real threat of Kade attempting to get his claws into the female began to dawn on the Beta. But, what could he say? As pretty as Ava was, she certainly was no fool. In fact, it seemed that Ava was much better versed in the world of wolves than both Toby and Kade put together. Must be the genetics. Neither of the males had grown up with other wolves, in fact, very few people knew about their 'special talents', including their own families, which meant that they'd more of less been forced to figure out the many weird and wonderful factors of being a supernatural creature by themselves.

After completely giving up the effort of constructing a persuasive argument, Toby opened his mouth to simply ask about the she-wolf in the hopes of learning a little about her. However, seconds later the shrill shriek of the warning bell echoed through the air, causing the male to flinch as the sound pierced through his sensitive ears. "Ugh." He grimaced, forcing his brown eyes to squeeze shut as if in doing so he could physically stop the sound from entering his mind. No such luck.
When his eyes finally opened again, Toby found that Itty had manoeuvred them both away from the bustling crowds of teenagers who were rushing for the doorway, and by relation, away from Ava, too. Oh well, he had chemistry next, he'd see her then.

"What?" Itty's question caused Toby to whip around to face the slightly smaller female. His expression showed much better than his words could express just how insane he found her question to be. "Are you nuts?" He demanded, the slight shake of his head as he punctuated his words causing his meticulously moussed bangs to flop over his eyes just slightly. "Wolf. Fox. A pack is a pack." He insisted as he raised one hand to roughly push back the rouge hair, the pause giving Itty just enough time to attempt to change the subject. Not that Toby was going to let her. "Chemistry." He replied shortly, before continuing on his rant. "Once you're in a pack, you're in a pack, Itty. Pack bonds are stronger than blood bonds, no matter what species you are."

Kade Lesnar | Werewolf / Alpha | 18 / Senior | Location: School Cafeteria | Mentioned: Brant

Meanwhile... whilst the others began to make their way towards their classrooms, Kade made no move to follow. Instead, the Alpha was revelling in the power trip he got whenever he felt the light shiver travel through Brant's fragile frame. Humans had a sixth sense about supernatural creatures, about predators... it made them want to run, and Kade loved abusing that fact.
"I wasn't asking." Kade's reply was in the form of a low snarl, accompanied by the slow insertion of his unshelled claws into Brant's soft flesh. They'd already been putting intense pressure on his shoulders, but now a faint hint of blood began to drift through the air. Luckily for Kade, though, the cafeteria was so filled with overpowering aromas from mix of foods that the scent was almost undetectable to anyone except the Alpha. Good thing too, lest he wanted to arouse any attention from the staff members, or worse, Toby and Itty.

However, Kade's claws were no sooner piercing Brant's skin than they were out of it again, before being repositioned underneath the smaller boy's arms. "Up you get, human." He sneered, before using the new grip to pull Brant up from his chair like a toddler being dragged to its feet. "You're making me late, we don't want that, do we?"

One more step back and Kade let the chair Brant was sitting on clatter to the floor. He could have stopped it with his wolf reflexes, but the room was almost deserted now... and besides, it would stop the pathetic human from trying to sit down again. Again and again Brant tried to deter Kade from having his fun, but again and again Kade simply found new ways to torture the younger male.

Toby's interest in recruiting other pack mates was admirable, but his interest in keeping people and wolves away from Kade was legendary. It seemed to be some long-standing rivalry Itty didn't truly understand. Toby stood his ground, but Kade was an alpha and truly had the upperhand species wise. Even if he wasn't their alpha... It irked her thoroughly when Toby got involved in conflict, but she didn't mind as long as he stayed in one piece. The alpha he opposed and despised wasn't exactly a fair fighter, and he didn't exactly have the most stable personality.

Itty grimaced at her pack mate's reaction to the bell, knowing how it felt. She'd learned to dull her senses slightly and let noises fade in the background, the common school noises just happened to luckily fall under that category. It was hard, but it was like dulling a candle so it burned softer to preserve the wax. She dulled her kitsune to let it rest and sleep, but he wasn't hard to rouse such a fierce and snappy creature.

"No, I'm not nuts. I just want to make sure we're still pack. Foxes aren't exactly social creatures, and we're just a duo. If there's another wolf then I think you two would click easier." Itty offered. As Toby explained and confirmed they'd still be a pack, she smiled. Her facial expression lit up as she realized Toby wasn't going to shake her off easily, and she wasn't going to let go easy. Even as a wolf, he was one of her most valued friends. "Well, you'll see our little friend in Chemistry then. I'd say try to claim a seat by her, since you can probably charm the teacher into letting you. Don't any of his betas get there." The kitsune stated after Toby ended his rant. It made her feel needed when he addressed their pack bond, even as a duo. A third member or even fifty couldn't change it. They were the originals. "Just know that means you're stuck with me for just about the rest of your life, Toby." Itty chuckled, giving him a quick hug and flicking his nose playfully. "I'm going to run home for my free period. I'll see you when I get back. Stay out of trouble." The kitsune added the later as a warning, since Toby didn't always think situations through. He was strategic, absolutely. But when someone's well being was at stake he usually acted first and asked questions later. It was a pro and a con to his nature, but she'd gotten used to it over the time they'd been a pack.

As soon as the cafeteria started to empty, Brant's fear spiked. The teachers were ahead of the students, getting tot heir rooms to let them in and clear the halls quicker. They weren't focused on a cafeteria where a few students lingered, and most of the help was on their break. He was practically invisible and alone with an alpha. Brant could just feel Kade's ego swell as he got over his shivers and tried to ignore his presence. It wasn't going to work for long, especially when he felt the claws reach his skin.
Brant sucked in a breath and bit his lip to hide any sound he might have released. He didn't need need to draw even more attention to himself, and showing pain would just make Kade happier. Not that it was easy, but after weeks, if not months, of this level of abuse Brant had learned to dull his senses and just focus on something else at hand. "And I wasn't o-offering." Brant snapped, his voice having a slight whine as he felt Kade's claws move out. He relaxed, but it was in vain when he was lifted.

"I don't want to be shoved in a locker, but it doesn't look like I'm going to get what I want either. Just put me down and go away, you mangy mutt!" Brant snapped, his frustration at being manhandled obvious now. This situation wasn't going to do him any good. Itty and Toby were with that other darn wolf, they wouldn't hear him and come would they? It was worth a shot... If they were together, maybe they'd at least save him. He couldn't stay at Kade's mercy if he wanted to avoid being shoved into a metal rectangle. "I-Itty! Toby!" Brant called, turning to glare at Kade. He hated calling for help, but there wasn't any other option to keep Kade at bay anymore.

The sound of students chattering, plastic trays sliding against tables and the usual bustling of the cafeteria greeted Ashtyn as she pushed open the doors of the eating space, her blue orbs scanning the area for Kade. However, her gaze fell on the people sitting in line, waiting to buy some food and hopefully join their friends, while she found herself rather confused and puzzled- What was with these humans and friends? Truth be told, Ashtyn never really felt human, she was born and raised a werewolf and never even tried to 'fit in'. Actually, she found the idea of blending in with the crowd boring. No, she was not craving for a boring life, she wanted more than that. A sigh left Ashtyn's pink-tinted lips as she marched up to the counter, her lips pursed together as she tapped her fingers against the counter, a frown on her delicate features as she stared at the food that was offered to the students


"Absolutely discusting" She mumbled to herself. And it was the truth, it looked plain discusting, to say the least. She started biting on her lower lip, narrowing her eyes and trying to decide what was best to do. Just buy herself a drink or also eat something? Groaning as she failed to find any good food or Kade, she decided to stick with a simple salad that did not look so bad, and a glass of water " Great" The brunette murmured as she grabbed her food after waiting for several minutes, turning on her heels and analyzing the surroundings in search of an empty table. She was no friendly person, so staying as far as possible from the others, including the 'friendly' pack, sounded just perfect.


Tapping her feet against the polished floor, her gaze drifted to an empty table, a smile forcing its way onto her lips as she started walking into that direction, dropping into her seat and placing the food in front of her. Ashtyn flipped her hair over her shoulder, letting the curls bounce over and brush against the fabric of her white shirt, a mock-serious look dancing across her features as she started eating, finally enjoying a few minutes by herself. She already noticed the new woman watching all of them, looking like she was searching for someone. However, Ahstyn was not really paying attention to her and instead she focused on her food. Or at least tried to, because her attention was soon distracted by a sudden noise, making her raise her head, baby blue gaze now fixed on the one that caused it. Just a freshman, nothing interesting. She wrinkled her nose, rolling her eyes and grabbing her phone, gaze fixed on the screen as she read some new messages before placing it in front of her, resting her head on one of her hands.

"That's the plan." Toby confirmed, an amused smirk spreading across his lips as Itty pointed out the undeniably charming disposition which the male had been perfecting since freshman year. "Besides, without you in my corner this year, I'll need someone to make sure I don't flunk out." His words were a mix of truth and teasing, for although Toby was quite intelligent, there were certain subjects which he simply couldn't grasp. Science was definitely one of them.
As they discussed their plans for the next period, a familiar scent caught Toby's attention and his next action proved that science was not the only thing the werewolf had difficulty grasping. Subtlety was too. "Ashtyn alert." He muttered, his brown eyes following the beta female as she passed by them and into the cafeteria. "Probably sensed Kade salivating over Ava." A very obvious glare was aimed towards Ashtyn as she settled herself into a seat at a solitary table, however, it was cut short as a much more worrisome scene attracted Toby's attention.

'I-Itty! Toby!'

The distinct tone of Brant's wail caused Toby to lurch instinctively towards the sound and where his body moved, his brain soon tried to catch up. Brant! Toby hadn't even realised that Brant hadn't joined himself and Itty when they'd rushed towards Ava, causing the Beta to kick himself internally for being to narrow-sighted. Human or not, Toby had always insisted that Brant was just as much a part of the pack as Itty... and yet as he rushed through the cafeteria it quickly became clear why Brant had never quite believed him. After all, would the Beta have allowed Kade to drag Itty the way he was dragging the tiny human? Not a chance in hell.
"Drop him, Kade!" Toby's voice was thick with snarls as he came to a stop behind the Alpha.

Kade seemed in no way surprised by Toby's sudden appearance. Of course Brant's faithful lapdog would come running. Of course. With a roll of his eyes, Kade slowly turned towards the Beta, his expression a mixture of boredom and mild amusement as his green eyes scanned over the other male. Silence fell between the rivals for a moment as the Alpha appeared to consider Toby's demand, his gaze moving between the other wolf and the human in his claws.
"If it means that much to you." Kade shrugged, before suddenly unclasping his grasp from Brant and allowing the smaller boy to crash down onto the cold, tiled floor of the cafeteria. "There." However, simply releasing Brant physically did not mean that the Alpha intended to simply let him go. Oh, no, no, no. Most certainly not. And in order to ensure that Toby was aware of this, merely moments after letting Brant drop, Kade knelt down and placed one hand on the boy's back, effectively pinning him to the ground with his superior werewolf strength. "Now he's where he belongs, with all of the other worthless germs."

It was clear that this remark was not nearly as amusing to Toby as it was to Kade, at least not if the way the Beta balled his fists against his sides was any indiction.
"I said, let him go." Toby repeated as he took a step closer to the pair. "If you're so desperate to act like a big bad Alpha, why not take on someone of you own damn species for a change." He growled, his eyes glowing amber as his wolf instincts began to surface.
"Please." Kade smirked. "As if you're any more threatening than this puny human, Beta." As if to illustrate just how superior he found himself to Toby, Kade's eyes flashed a brilliant blood red as he met the other male's glare.

Zander had walked into the cafeteria, much later than normal. He had been running late because his science teacher, Mr. Hawthorne decided to keep the whole class an extra ten minutes because someone didn't return a calculator on time. A soft sigh left his lips as he went to the end of the food line, Zander ran a hand through his hair before dropping his hand down to his arm. When you were at the end of this line it seemed like it never moved. A few of his friends called out to him from the other side of the cafeteria, he smiled and waved to them, but stayed in line, he knew if he didn't eat now, he would be starving before he got out of school. After a good, ten minutes, he had finally gotten his food and went sit with some of his friends.

(Sorry this isn't that great guys, but I wanted to post, since I hadn't been able to for a while. I've been moving and stuff, but I'm finally finished!)

The young female pushed her hair over her shoulders, gently bumping against Toby as a sign of affection and companionship. She knew his reassurances were a once in a blue moon ordeal since she hardly had any doubts. The appearance of a new wolf who was willing to join their duo was a complicated matter, especially for her fox. It was hard to adjust to a wolf, but Toby was a single entity. Not multiple wolves in the same location. Even a solitary creature wanted some company very now and again.

Itty's senses weren't as strong as a wolf's, but the moment Brant called out it suddenly clicked why it felt like a small shadow was missing. He hadn't followed them to see Ava, preferring to stay out of the wolf business that didn't involve Itty or Toby alone. Brant stayed out of their pack business only to be dragged into a tussle with Kade. Itty's guilt hit her like a train and she rushed after Toby and shifted to move in front a few inches. It wasn't a show of dominance, just worry for their mutual companion.

Kade was, in the most polite way, a demon from hell given a physical form. Not only that, some idiot had bit him. Fast forward a few years and the arrogant, loud mouth, cruel werewolf was suddenly an alpha. The only alpha in Beacon Hills. And the alpha was currently holding Brant up like a ragdoll and obviously was using him for a pincushion. In a building Itty's power were useless and she chewed her bottom lip as Toby stepped up to bat against Kade. He wasn't going to score a home run, but maybe making a bunt to reach first base as a must to achieve a long term goal. Like Brant living through their senior year without more scars..

The moment Kade dropped Brant she winced and took a few steps forward before halting. His hands shoving Brant down paired with his insult caused her protective nature to flare up, and her eyes flared to life with an orange glow.
"Kade, let him go. The new counselor is still in the hallway, and we all know the last thing you need is to get suspended." The kitsune snarled, ignoring the blood red in Kade's eyes. That was the perk of being a Kitsune, even if in a pack. Her fox didn't feel the need to obey or forfeit rights, especially if it thought of Brant as its own territory. Territory that had a ginormous alpha werewolf shoving it into the floor.

Pain was not unfamiliar to Brant, especially with Kade in the picture. While most times he managed to get a teach or his supernatural friends involved, there were times he couldn't. Kade's abuse wasn't anything new, but it got very old very quickly months ago when it started. Their current predicament wasn't completely unnatural, but Brant would've preferred to be handled like a doll in a less public space. Less claws would be a blessing, but this was Kade. He had pinprick scars all over his shoulders, ribs, and wherever else the alpha decided it'd be a good idea to stick his claws.

While pain was familiar, slamming into a linoleum tiled floor was not. The moment he felt Kade's arms release him the human mentally cursed Toby a thousand times over. Pick your words carefully, you stupid wolf! his mind snapped, while his body curled in on itself from the pain he felt in his left side. Gravity had done it's work, and landing on his knees caused Brant to crumble and gracelessly flop onto the side where he had been leaning towards. Throughout the predicament, Brant's head has suffered a not-so-kind blow to his arm and a quarter of the floor while trying to protect himself. Itty and Toby's snarls roused him out of his shock, but when he tried to move Brant only found himself pinned by an arm.
Following the arm up, the young human managed to spot Kade's familiar figure and he connected the strength behind him to it easily. Kade had him on the floor, pinned down with an arm, and was calling him lowly bacteria. Not that he took offense to being called a germ, Brant's studies told him they were useful organisms. It was the worthless part that got him, and he gritted his teeth and moved an arm back to try, most likely in vain, to show the arm from his back. "K-Kade!" Brant grumbled, half growling the alpha's name in order to get his attention to get off.

Kade's eyes drifted from Toby to Itty as the female inched in front of the beta, despite the fact that she was half his size and far from her beloved weeds. How sweet. The gesture earned a sneer from the Alpha, one which turned into a bitter laugh as he listened to her reasoning. "Suspended?" He repeated, his words thick with faux innocence, as if he was truly shocked to hear that his actions may have consequences. "That's cute. Really." The school administration had long given up threatening Kade with punishments such as suspension or even expulsion. The fact was that he was a werewolf and there was no way in hell the higher up supernaturals of the school were prepared to unleash that brand of chaos on another unsuspecting institution. Except maybe juvie. Maybe. "Last I checked, there was no rule against maintaining the hierarchy. Predators here..." With his free hand, Kade pointed a clawed finger towards himself. "And prey..." Leaning forwards, Kade was just able to hear Brant's pleas to be released. "Here." He gave the scrawny human one last shove, before moving off him and standing up.

The moment Kade released Brant, Toby lunged forwards and grabbed the human by the arm, before roughly pulling him to his feet. Itty was likely to scold the Beta for not being more gentle, but he was too filled with anger over Kade's actions to care if Brant got an extra bruise or two. "You're not the only predator here, Kade." He snarled, his eyes flashing amber once more in warning. "Not in this school and not in this town.
"I'm shaking. Kade's response was flat and unimpressed as he plunged his hands casually into his pockets and slowly circled the small pack. There was nothing in the Alpha's disposition which was threatening, but that didn't mean that Toby wasn't still on alert. With someone as unpredictable as Kade, it was impossible to be too careful. "Oh well..." Kade continued as he began to slowly move towards the doorway, "I suppose I can chastise myself for my terrible behaviour on the way to meet the new councillor... whilst you degenerates pick up some late slips."

The moment Kade disappeared out of the double doors, Toby turned towards Brant. "Are you okay? He didn't scratch you, did he?" Although it was extremely rare for an Alpha's scratch to pass on the werewolf gene, it wasn't unheard of and Toby wanted to cover all possible ground. Which was why, seconds later he was pulling at the human's shirt collar to get a better view of the fragile skin on his shoulders. A totally unsolicited and unwelcome action, but Toby wasn't the type to think before he acted.
