it would be cool if in explore, very rarely you come across a foreign cat that sells lots of goodies. there can be a sort of beetle currency to trade in for special items or just plain sb. im not sure on appearance, but I would imagine it to be very messy, worn out and very smug looking so.. he could say something like, '' hey you, yes you. ya want to buy somethin? I have lots of goodies so what do ya say?'' and it will have an option to look at shop (which would contain special items) or snatch item. (which will give you a random rareish item or some of his sb) the merchant should appear extremely rarely since it would be crazy to get him every few % in explore. he could say other things like, ''psst, ya you! I have been diggin' in the ground and found this, so wanna buy it for a few... beetles?'' and would have the same/similar options. sorry for plucking this idea from my head :P
Edit: Khajiit has wares if you have beetle.
Edit: Now that a story mode feature exists, its possible ;)
Edit2: And a possible way to introduce tigons.
