The new cub claiming system at the giving tree gave me an idea.Just like how you can encounter a lioness you should be able to encounter a cub that someone chased.Like it hasn't been found by the monkey yet.I even have and idea for the encounter dialogue: < You come across an abandoned cub.Its looks at you with tears it its eyes. What will you do?> Kill, ignore, comfort If you comfort it you will get this: < "Thank you for being nice to me.Can i go home with you?"The cub says. Your options will then be Leave, Adopt or Teach. The Teach option will let you teach the cub basic survival and hunting skills so that it can live on its own, similar to what you do in the Poacher event. The teach option will give positive karma, kill will give negative karma and the other options are karma neutral. it doesn't have to give karma though I figure the art for when you enitialy encounter it will be a sad, crying cub sitting by itself. After you comfort it you will see what the cub actually looks like.I think this could be a really heartwarming option and you would be making a better bond with it then just enticing it with an item. The cub can be an adolescent as well, the game designers can decide if the adolescent gets its own encounter sprite. After seeing a suggestion for a karma neutral option for the giving tree i had a better idea for this.if the karma neutral giving tree option was implemented those that were given up using that option would appear at the tree only.Chased cubs and possibly nature reserve cubs however would have a chance at appearing as an abandoned cub encounter with their family and stats gone from their records, similar to an ncl that was a chased lioness. It would be a rare encounter. If it is preferred this encounter could be reserved for the Poacher event only since you run into orphaned cubs during the event anyway, thus making the encounter even more rare. Also any training they had would be reset to zero but their stats would remain the same. This could also work for the encounter with the dying mother and cub encounter in August. If you choose to take in the cub there will be a small chance of it surviving and you will get a random cub that someone chased. |

Not a fan of the whole Karma thing because of the fact I prefer evil titles. This new feature seems like something interesting, and I'd hate to steadily become positive because I adopted pretties. I won't /NOT/ support, jus' thought I'd mention it. Good idea though art wise ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Since we already have a way of taking home unwanted cubs, I don't think we need another one. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I don't support simply because I feel we have way too many easy ways to get cubs as it is, especially with the whole giving tree cub thing~ I don't think getting even more cubs into Lioden is a very good idea~ 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support this. This would be a much better system than the giving tree. in explore kill or adopt as usual + karma - Karma everyone wins 0 players like this post! Like? |

So would this replace the giving tree? Because having both is just overkill. That adds a LOT of cubs into the game. I don't think the admins would want to replace a feature that they just added :/ 0 players like this post! Like? |

No support. We do not need any more methods of getting cubs - there are already enough circulating in the economy, and with the new implementation of the cub giving tree (which was a horrible idea in itself, to say the least,) it's already overkill. The added-on encounter would be too much. Having one or the either, regardless, would be too much. So, gonna have to disagree with this one. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sorry, but I don't support this. Yet it seemed like a good idea at first. Though with this and the giving tree, it would be overkill as vihuff said. Along with we already have enough ways of getting cubs. Yet, if this would only be a rare event to happen, maybe so. Then again, about about all the stats and training? Would it somewhat reset or stay the same from its previous owner? Or maybe be reduced by half? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Lol,you got this idea in a post first it seems.I was thinking of the same thing few days ago and it's a splendid idea i must say!People chase/kill/send to a nature reserve cubs, lions & adolescents all the time and this will be a great way to get them new homes and loosen up work for the people who have to delete all that lion data all the time in Lioden.Support!<: 0 players like this post! I think this such a cute idea! Support! As long as this encounter is rare it wouldn't interfere with the Giving Tree. Plus getting Newly Claimed Cubs could help widen the diversity of newer prides just like the Giving Tree. Lastly, along with the options Kill, Ignore or Comfort and Leave, Adopt or Teach you should also add the options Lead to Nearest Pride and Take to Giving Tree, both of these options are kind acts and would give positive karma boosts. Lead to Nearest Pride < "You lead the cub to the nearest pride that will accept it, upon departure you leave knowing that the cub will have a happy life and good home." > Take to Giving Tree < "You pick up the cub in your mouth and carry it to the Giving Tree, you leave it there knowing that it will remain safe in the care of the monkey until it gets adopted into a new pride." > 0 players like this post!
