Blake is a tall young man standing at 6'0" and weighing around 190 pounds. He has brown skin and dark eyes with very thinly cropped black hair. While not excessively muscular he has a powerful build, finely arched eyebrows and sharp facial features. He wears two intertwined beaded necklaces around his neck, one white and one black.

Personality:
Upon first meeting Blake may come across as standoffish and aloof. Neither are true, he is merely reserved and introverted. Still a newcomer to the Island of Berk he is uncertain how to go about making new alliances and this also explains why he is a year older than most of the other teens receiving their dragons. He is calm and level-headed, always thinking something through before doing or saying anything, or sometimes simply not doing or saying anything at all. It is not through any act of cowardice that keeps him from reaching out or becoming a more active member of the community, but more so the fear of making a wrong decision.

Dragons Name:
Amethyst.

Dragons Appearance:
Amethyst is a large beast being a total of 30 feet long with a wingspan nearly the same length as her body. She has a long tail and slender frame giving her an oddly lanky appearance. Her skull is broad and flat with a wide mouth full of razor sharp teeth the size of a steak knife. Lengthy spikes line the back of her head and down her spine to the tip of her tail. The spikes can be flattened to allow her rider safe access to her back. A small black horn tops her nose and her scales are varying shades of purple with a blue-gray underbelly. Her eyes are a deep sapphire with lighter shades of blue and green that are especially prominent under sunlight.

Dragons Personality:
Skrills are known for being unpredictable and belligerent. In comparison Amethyst is far more compliant. Cheerful and outgoing, she makes it her business to make new friends wherever she goes and doesn't always pick up on social cues. She is mildly clumsy, but corrects herself quickly and could prove a powerful dragon indeed with some proper training. Her chipper mood can quickly become more aggressive however if she feels she, her rider or anyone else are in danger. She tends to be impulsive in the face of danger and will leap into action without thinking things through. Useful when you are in need of some courage. Not so much if she doesn't know what she's doing and gets herself hurt in the process.

Dragon's Extras:
Nothing in particular at the moment. She enjoys collecting gemstones and brightly colored feathers, sometimes carrying them around in her mouth to show off to friends.

Likes:
Reading, warm weather, sweet and spicy foods, dragons, animals in general, collecting sea shells, exploring, people. He might not be the best at expressing that last one, but he does genuinely like other people.

Dislikes:
Colder temperatures, unnecessary violence, poaching, arrogance, small spaces/crowded areas, not having any alone time to distress.

Strengths:
Calm mind, physically strong, knowledgeable, compassionate.

Weaknesses:
Though he is fairly fit Blake is a passive person by nature and not experienced in combat. His size also makes him not as quick as he'd like to be, his hesitance to do anything without agonizing over possible outcomes for hours doesn't help make him any quicker either.

Dragon's Likes:
Fish, swimming, thunderstorms, lightning, gemstones, pretty rocks and feathers, other dragons, humans, making new friends, being a huge goof.

Dragon's Dislikes:
Eels, aggression, fire, solitude, those who seek to do harm to others whether they be dragon or people.

Dragon's Strengths:
Rather than fire, lighting is Amethyst's forte. The electricity generates from the metallic spines along her back and is set froth from he mouth in devastating blasts of shocking energy. She is also insanely swift and has quite a bit of muscle to her.

Dragon's Weaknesses:
She can not use her lighting when in water. Forcing her into a large body of water such as the ocean or a lake or even just soaking her will make her incapable of using her ability as she will be at great risk of electrocuting herself. Regardless Amethyst loves water and swimming. Fire breathing dragons also tend to frighten her due to an incident from her younger years and she will steer clear of them.

History:
Blake grew up on a small island far from Berk, but traveled to the dragon infested lands a year previously after his home was destroyed by a hurricane and most of his relatives swept away with it. He had heard legends of dragons, but never seen one in person before arriving. Initially he was shocked by how tame they were and took to reading every book he could about the beasts since. He was delighted upon being informed he would receive his own dragon on his 17th birthday despite being a still fairly recently resident.

Amethyst was hatched among a clutch of three, all hand raised by humans with the purpose of being given to teens once they came of age. After escaping her cage, driven by her insatiable curiosity, Amethyst tried to make nice with an adult Monstrous Nightmare who did not appreciate her climbing all over him. After raining fire down on her she fled back to her cage and has remained fearful of fire and fire breathers ever since. Her siblings were unfortunately captured in a raid by dragon hunters and likely sold off to bidders in a different land.

Kin:
None on Berk for Blake. If anyone wants to play one of Amethyst's missing siblings making a glorious return that'd be pretty sweet though.
