Shay was quiet, getting up from her chair and just going to hug Bea tightly. She was shaking like a leaf, and hid her face in her neck. "Th...Thank you so much... I don't know how to repay you. Thank you so much." She whispered quietly and looked down, shaking like a leaf as she held onto Bea like she was clinging to a lifeline. "Thank you for all your kindness. You truly have.... No idea, no idea how much it means to me. Thank you so much.... So so much." She cried quietly and snuggled into Bea.

Bea didn't knkw what to say. She silently pet Shay's hair and back, and let her cry on her shoulder. "There's no reason to repay me. No reason at all." Bea held Shay tighter to her, as if she could shield her from the world with this simple action. And maybe she could. Who knew. All Bea knew was that she had to keep Shay and Zendikar safe. Away from that horrible, horrible man. What kind of sick asshole does that not only to their wife, but to their kid as well? If that man ever has the misfortune of running into me in a dark alley... Bea didn't know why that thought even came up. She was only 5'9" and she didn't work out. She wasn't completely weak, but she want strong either. She couldn't seriously harm anyone, especially someone as ripped as Shay's ex-husband.

Shay was quiet, just hanging onto Bea for a while and sobbing into her shoulder. Soon though, the sobs calmed down, and she was still. Bea's careful petting of Shau's back, the rhythm of it.... combined with her calming from the tea, well, before long, it was clear that Shay had fallen asleep on Bea's shoulder, sitting in her lap and hugging her.

Bea felt a small smile come across her face. Shay's breathing had become normal again, and her muscles had relaxed. At first, Bea through that Shay had simply calmed down. It wasnt until Shay started snoring softly that Bea realized she had fallen asleep. Bea smiled again. She felt Shay's arms tight around her waist. Her shoulder was damp from Shay's tears, but she didn't mind. Somewhere between Shay's relaxed breathing, the hug, and the trust between the two, Bea had drifted off to sleep. It was a tranquil scene - Shay on Bea's lap, head against Bea's shoulder, hugging her waist, Bea's head leaning against Shay's.

Shay was quiet, staying curled into Becca. She looked quite comfortable where she was. She stayed asleep for a good... Hour or so, before her eyes fluttered open and she looked quietly at Bea. She.... she had fallen asleep on the woman's lap? Her face paled a little at the realization, but then she realized that Bea had fallen asleep too. That meant Bea probably wouldn't be upset with her, which was good. Shay smiled a little and quietly hugged Bea again, snuggling into her neck softly and thought about something that might make Bea happy as she slept.... And she thought of something. Shay silently lifted up her shirt, so her belly was exposed, and gently took Bea's hand and put it on her belly where baby Zendikar was kicking. She just had a feeling that that would make Bea really happy to feel it.

Bea slowly came out of her sleep as Shay started to move. She didn't open her eyes as Shay resituatided herself so that she was now snuggled into Bea's neck. Bea almost drifted back off to sleep, but was brought back to the waking world as Shay grabbed her hand. Bea opened her eyes, watching Shay. Was she holding her hand? Was it intentional, or was she still asleep? Bea's hand was soon brought to Shay's belly. So she is awake... Bea felt a nudge against the palm of her hand. Zendikar is kicking.... Bea couldn't help but smile. When was the last time she had felt a baby's kick? Probably when Jonah was this age. Far too much time had passed since she had even seen a baby. Bea let out a happy sigh. "Thank you," she muttered softly.

"You're welcome." Shay smiled quietly. "You can feel him whenever you want. Just come and put your hand on my belly at any given time, and I'm happy to let you. He usually kicks when I'm in a light sleep or just waking up. That's when he's the most active. Right now he's just a little alarm clock." She smiled quietly. She let Bea continue to feel her belly, snuggled into her neck. "I think he likes you. He usually shies away when strangers feel at him. He'd always hide when Luke tried." She whispered with a slight chuckle. "For good reason. My baby is a smart baby." She said gently and stroked her belly softly over Bea's hand. "So... So you won't mind me staying here even when I have him?" She asked quietly, still nuzzled into Bea's neck.

Bea gave her head a quick shake. "Not at all. I don't mind at all." Bea closed her eyes, enjoying Zendikar's kicks and Shay's presence. "I bet he's a smart baby. If he's anything like his mother, he'll be smart and beautiful." Bea truly meant that - Shay was really pretty. If Zendikar ends up being only half as pretty as Shay, he'll still be drop-dead gorgeous. Bea chuckled softly at the thought. I just really hope he doesn't look like Luke...I feel like it would hurt Shay everytime she'd look at him. She doesn't deserve that...

Shay smiled quietly and looked down a little bit. "Nah... I'm not that smart or pretty." She said quietly, not having much confidence in herself or her appearance. "But... Thank you. He's going to be a beautiful little boy. And I'm gonna raise him up right, to be kind and gentle... Just like a man should be." She whispered, and Zendikar seemed to pump his little feet in response to Shay's voice, but even more when Bea talked. "Oh... He likes your voice." Shay giggled softly. "I think that's his cue for you to keep talking about him."

Bea chuckled softly. "You think so? Well, little Zendikar, there's a lot you're going to have to learn about this world. There's so much to learn, and so little time. There's so many great things about this world that you'll get to experience. Flowers and the ocean and the northern lights - these are all beautiful sights that I can't even begin to describe them to you. And then there are great little pasteries like doughnuts and cakes. There's so many great things in this world for you, I can't wait until you get to see them all..." Bea looked up at Shay. "I... I hope that was okay. I wasn't quite sure what to talk about..."

Shay giggled softly, and Zendikar started to kick wildly. "Oh he loves it. He can't wait either." She whispered quietly as she stroked her stomach, still laying on Bea's shoulder. "He loves your voice. The little stinker is kicking like a mad man.... I can't wait. Only four more months, and then he's out." She whispered quietly and blushed softly, holding her stomach. "I can't wait to meet him finally."

Bea looked down at Shay and Zendikar. Shay already loved this baby so much. I don't think she could love Zendikar more if she tried... Bea remembered when she was pregnant with Jonah. She felt the same way about her baby. She would talk to him everyday, and tell him stories, and read to him before she went to bed. She felt like she had already gotten to know his personality by the 8th month. She remembered feeling so connected to Jonah then, in those first 9 months. It's such a wonderful feeling... "I bet he can't wait to meet you too."

Bea nodded her head. "Yes, I'm fine. Why do you ask?" Had she noticed that I was...distant? Had I been thinking about Jonah that long? Another pang of her chest. When wasn't she thinking about her little boy, taken from the world far too soon? But Bea felt like she shouldn't tell Shay, not yet at least. She didn't want to turn the spotlight onto her sorrow, while Shay's was so much worse. It just...wouldn't be fair. Now, that was nonsense, but everyone has their flaws. Bea's was that she put others first.
