Today during an Art Stream I decided to sketch the Tigons in advance at least - they are still coming out in 2017/2018, but it's nice to have sketches done and then after some time I can always have a fresh look before doing linearts!       Don't worry about everything facing 1 way, I was flipping art all the time, and I bet the male/female flip will match the universal lion art so that lots of decors should look okay! |

Tigons and Liger are essentially the same thing, Tear, Tigons just mean that the mother is a lion and the father is a tiger because if the mother was the tiger and your king was the father then you'd never get to have the cubs in your pride since you can't have a tiger mother in your pride. It's the same concept as Leopons (leopard father and lion mother) Vs. Lipards (lion father and leopard mother).  0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeah they are, but they wouldn't make sense on LD since mutations need to be born to a lioness in a pride in order to be spawned into the game - a lioness can't give birth to a Liger. That's why the staff went for the Tigon instead of Liger. Really, we're even lucky to be getting the Tigon, the staff never wanted a tiger-hybrid in game but the love of Leopons and the desire for Ligers made them consider the Tigon as a compromise. Perhaps we will get a Tigon encounter in explore one day, though - the same way we have a Lipard encounter in explore now. 0 players like this post! Ligers are NOT the same as Tigons. Tigons are smaller, built more like a tiger, and have more prominent stripes. Also a LOT less health issues. Ligers are riddled with health issues, and have one MAJOR problem. Ulike Tigons, Ligers do NOT stop growing. They get huge! Hercules (One of the best looked after Ligers) is around and over 900 pounds. He is the biggest liger, and the biggest big cat. Many ligers die of health problems. Tigons are healthier, smaller, and more likely to survive after being born. 0 players like this post! Like? |
