It's as simple as the title above, I think we all could benefit from the ability to cancel tickets in a raffle and/or a confirmation message before buying a ticket in order to prevent losing valuable items. I had thought of it before when I entered previous raffles. I noticed how easy it was to slip up and select something wrong and then potentially lose an item for good. But I put off making this post in expectation that someone else would and well I'm sure the Mods have already considered it, but now it's actually happened to me. I was frenzy buying some tickets with drones when unbeknownst to me I ran out, and when the page refreshed I had just paid with my last Lion Meat. Obviously the item quite is valuable to only be spent on a game of odds, but it was also my only progress towards mutations; so nevertheless I was very upset. Yes, I could just buy another but the point is I wouldn't need to if a confirmation text had told me what I'd be buying the ticket with or if I was able to remove my ticket altogether. **Very fortunate enough for me, the host has decided to return it to me when the raffle ends. But hosts are not obligated to by no means, and I'm sure there are others who wouldn't return it.** I'm positive I'm not the only bonehead who went ticket crazy and lost something important to them so I only hope this gains some much needed support. Thank you! |

Support! I had somebody message me in a panic once because they entered with buffy balls that they had for their friend (I, of course, gave it back when the raffle ended)! But I can't imagine making that big a mistake and not getting it back. :c 0 players like this post! Like? |

I propose in addition to this: a time limit. Say, a little green bar comes up at the top saying "You have until ______ to cancel should you change your mind." Either a few hours or "until rollover." That way, people can't bail out at the last second of the raffle after being entered for weeks. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support this, however, I respectfully disagree with Nomashawn. Coming from experience, sometimes you offer something in a raffle and end up needing it/regretting offering it days or weeks later, and if you no longer wish to participate in a raffle/want to take back your item, you should be able to. Since the tab for raffles you're participating in logs every ticket you buy, I think it should be an option to cancel specific tickets even if you have several others for the same raffle. 0 players like this post! I was just thinking I think it would also be good if we could buy more than one ticket at once...like select multiple items and submit and get that many tickets. That way we wouldn't be spam clicking the same spot in the first place 0 players like this post! Like? |

Alex of the Moonlight: You make a good point. Raffles have a set ending time, don't they? When you make one, there's an "end on" date? Maybe a compromise between our ideas is that you can't cancel less than a day before the natural end of the raffle. That way, there's less of a last-minute cancel risk BUT people entering still have plenty of time to make their decisions unless they entered last-minute anyway. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Yeah it really sucks losing something worth lots of GB, because the market price is never the same for long. I agree with time limit too, I'd hate to be running a raffle and have it automatically end with only 2-3 tickets bought. I also understand the possibly wanting to remove a ticket later on. Nomashawn's idea is great though for both to work. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support with the time limit idea. I do think people should be able to undo mistakes and misclicks. Absolutely. It's way too easy to give the wrong item in the current system and with some raffles accepting everything from feathers up to GMOs I feel there is a lot of room for human error. However entering a raffle as you intended and wanting your money or items back in a week is not an error, it's a regret. Sorry but I don't think people should be able to get a refund on that whenever they want. Imagine buying a bunch of lottery tickets and then trying to get your money back three weeks later from the store because suddenly you want that money back; reality doesn't work like that. Plus it makes it hard for the person running the raffle. Are a bunch of people going to randomly withdraw their ticket after a week? Should they end it early and risk making less profit? Wait it out and hope a bunch of impatient people don't withdraw? What if someone else posts the same item for cheaper? That doesn't give the entrants the right to refund their tickets and go to the other raffle. Mistakes are one thing but to prevent people from refunding intended ticket purchases I feel a time limit is necessary. 0 players like this post! Like? Yes! I just recently was buying raffle tickets with some junk and then all of a sudden I'd spent my buffy on a raffle ticket. The host was also nice enough to send it back once the raffle ended, but they just as easily couldn't have and I'd have lost a very valuable item. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support...just donated a MOD on accident to a basic raffle and totally regret it. Also the fact this has been a topic since 2016 and we still don't have a option to retract a bid shocks me. 1 player likes this post! Like? Edited on 21/03/23 @ 08:39:49 by ♡WallaDazz♡ (#111404) |
