-LOCKED - BEETLE BATTLES??!?!?! | |

BEETLE BATTLESWELCOME EVERYONE TO BEETLE BATTLES!!! Your lions now can own pets, feed them, battle them ... Simception? ;D Beetlemon Go? In Explore, you will have a chance to find a lonely beetle larvae - with a little luck, you can grab it and take home! Larvae in explore are randomized, they have species variation that have certain rarity, and the species itself has colour variation and rarity! You can find your larvae and beetles in your den, under lion list. You have 6 slots by default, but you can expand them by buying more. When you access your insect, you will see a status screen with the larvae/beetle, stats, name, bio etc. Your larvae will take time to grow! 0-10 months is larvae stage, 11-30 is adult. Larvae are super hungry and it's best time to feed them lots of grub! Every day their hunger drops by 30% and you can feed them on their page a various selection of Herbs and Water items (Which are obtainable in a new area located here: Beetle NPC. Note: Larvae cannot be trained. * You can name your beetles and give them a bio! * All beetles you find have same stats, but distributed randomly. * Rarer beetle species will have more default stats! * Food items fill hunger to full no matter how hungry your insect is. * All food items have tiny chances of boosting a stat of your beetle! * If hunger drops to 100% your larvae/beetle will die. * All beetles have the same larva image. * Beetles cannot be traded (yet?) * DEN ICONS will show if your beetle is hungry, pregnant or has eggs! When your larvae grows up: - They become adult beetles. They no longer feel hunger, and don't have to be fed. - They can now be trained at the Beetle Grounds area, once a day, in the chosen stat: Grab a rock trains Strength, Climb a branch trains Endurance and Ground Race trains Speed. Males - only males can battle! This is useful if you're not interested in breeding your beetles - you can own a full set of males and fight them fiercely! Females - females cannot battle, however they still can train and be bred to your males. - Females have no heat and can be bred anytime. - Pregnancy lasts 1 day (until next Rollover) - Females have cooldown of 10 days after giving birth. BREEDING: Babies should always get the species base stats, and both parent bonus. Parents colour matters when breeding! However, colour has a chance to produce a mutation of any common variation, smaller for uncommon and smallest of a rare colour within the species. *You can only breed beetles of same species. Upon birth a clutch image appears on female's page. Player has 1 day (until next Rollover) to harvest eggs. Harvesting will give you 1-4 larva, while the rest of the eggs hatch and run away. If you do not harvest on time, the larvae will scuttle away. Harvested larva start at age 0 and have heritage. You cannot harvest larvae if you have no free slots. DEATH When your beetles die, they become unusable, collectible items in your hoard. Depending on species and colour, the item will match the beetle that died (except for gender). When they start becoming more abundant, we'll add craftable decors for each! :D *Items CAN be traded! (duh) BATTLING - because beetles need time to grow up from larva and coders need time to code it all, Battling will be introduced in 1 week. For now, enjoy collecting beetles and raising them! Suggested by Mad Hyena - she's been amazing help and prepared a lot of base for development, thank you so much, enjoy your Owl Badge <3 NOTE ON SPECIES All species found in Explore are African species. In future, we'll introduce non-African species in Oasis and some invented ones in Events! You can suggest Beetle Species here: Dev Topic SPECIES GUIDE BY KIRAFIREFLY- includes species list, rarity, etc.STEP BY STEP ON HOW TO OWN A BEETLEwith pictures!Ochre Base is a new Golden Dark Countershaded Common base, that is available to be customized in Oasis or via Base Changer. For now we're busy training her! :D We love Clayton dearly and he was part of admin team for years, so his Explore Encounter will stay as long as possible <3 He just got busy with real life, we'll miss you bro! Remember that the event ends on July 31st at 11:59 pm, and all your currency will be stored in your account until next year. "I love this update so, SO much. One thing bothers me, though, and it's the amount limit. 6 slots sounds like an awfully too small amount when we can get 1-4 larvae per litter. Sure you can expand the slots for GB(not everyone can afford premium currency), but the default amount is simply too unpractical when you can get so many larvae in each breeding, specially with the females being breedable all the time. This isn't like the lion cubs, which don't occupy adult slots until they grow up. The larvae occupy beetle slots from the very start. I feel like 10 slots would be fairer in this scenario, or that we should be able to buy the first several expansions with SB and from the 15th slot or so onwards the expansions would cost GB. Heck maybe there could be a system similar to the PVP fighting and we could win the first slots via battling, the possibilities are many. Edit: and my friend just brought this up, she has been getting the larva encounter a lot and already caught 3 of them. This common rate at which the beetles seem to be caught really doesn't match such a small slot limit." I agree with Lillian. 0 players like this post! Like? |
