August Event Guide |
---|
August Event News Post
A ravaging Sahel Drought disrupts migrations sweeping across Africa, claiming lives of humans, livestock and wildlife.
With animals dying, many camps have been set to feed hippos and provide basic sources of water for most needing animals like elephants. Reports on rivers drying up are increasing by the day, as wet seasons never arrive.
What will you lions do?
Will you rampage local farms and villages, or try to survive on scarce herds and starved corpses?
Will you cause a conflict or succumb to plans of nature?
Welcome to the Droughts and Fires event!
For the entire month of August, there will only be a Dry season--you won't see any rain anywhere. Your lionesses also have higher chances of failing their hunts, due to herds migrating to find water elsewhere.
Your lionesses brought back:
Nothing.
Perhaps the heat has gotten to your females?
The currencies for this month are Carrion Beetles and Dry Bones!
Carrion Beetles and Dry Bones are both found in Explore.
All biomes will have the Explore Encounters!
Biome, karma, and level do not matter for events.
Some encounters from this month DO impact your karma, however!
This month, there are two separate shops that unlock depending on how many EVIL or GOOD actions we do in Explore.
There are also two special areas that will be unlocked based upon how many humans are killed in Explore, and how many Dry Bones are collected.
| Thirst Quenching Items |
---|
This event unlocks the Thirst Bar!
Your thirst will drop by 5% every 30 minutes, and can also randomly drop from certain encounters in explore. Luckily, you can raise it through certain explore encounters as well, along with consuming special water items given out during this event!
African Cucumber: -5% Thirst
Aloe Leaf: -5% Thirst
Stripped Cacti: -15% Thirst
Water Root: -100% Thirst
Your lion will not die if you reach 100% thirst.
Your pride members are also not affected by thirst.
If you happen to reach 100% thirst, you will be unable to fight NPCs in Explore.
You'll receive this message when you try to fight someone!
You pounce at your enemy, but find that it's not enough. You're thirsty.. so thirsty. You collapse on the ground, your prey escaping as you gasp for breath. Better find some water soon!
Once your thirst is brought up by even 1%, you'll be able to fight again.

| The Peddler |
---|
In these harsh times my kind can live on bone marrow only. In exchange for those bones you find around, we offer some items we scavenge when soaring above the dried lands.
The Peddler is a Vulture who gives you exclusive/rare items and services in exchange for your yummy Dry Bones!
His shop can be unlocked by collecting as many Dry Bones as you can in Explore.
Item Catalogue
The vultures are circling overhead, looking as though they're ready to land and feast on some poor creature who is struggling to survive the heat. Maybe you could send one of your adolescents to practice their hunting skills?
For 5 Dry Bones, you can send your adolescent females out to chase vultures!
Each adolescent can chase vultures once per day.
Your teen girls will gain a small amount of EXP, along with a chance of receiving stats.
Some of the vultures that your adolescents were chasing have come to you. In your brilliance, you decide it would be a good idea to use them to keep track of the herd migrations near your pride, and gather other useful information.
For 50 Dry Bones, your male can track herds to receive EXP once per day!
The EXP he receives is 30 x (your current level), so a level 5 lion would receive 150 EXP while a level 20 lion would receive 600 EXP.
| Savage & Tsavo Studs |
---|
Stud with exclusive, new Pariah, Savage, and Tsavo-maned studs, who were drawn near by humans' blood being spilled!
This area is unlocked by killing as many humans as you can in Explore.
At 2AM, the studs switch out and cycle to the next one that is lined up.
You can breed any of your in-heat lionesses with the studs, provided that you have the 200 Dry Bones stud fee, and your lionesses are not too old or infertile.
The August studs will ignore your lioness's fertility as long as she is Very Low (1%) or higher. This means that she will instantly become pregnant, regardless of her fertility level, with the exception being Infertile.
A list of studs will be updated when the section unlocks.
