Male Offspring Viewing: Of the Dearly Departed VarietyI don't think it's a bug, it's not exactly an issue, and it would be convenient--? I searched for this topic and found nothing about deceased male cub tracking, or previously reported issues with it, so I think I'm in the right place for this? Anyways: I was looking at my old kings in my dynasty and I happened to realize that I couldn't see their past offspring; not like how you can with females, at least. This isn't exactly a priority. I would love to see where the cubs of my first few (and future) deceased kings winded up at like I can in my pride dynasty. Not really that much to it, if you have ideas or suggestions make sure to comment! And any corrections (grammar, factual, et cetera) or constructive criticism is encouraged. - Edit 8/7 - As an after note, this is to see if it can be done. Again, it's not exactly a priority, but for nostalgia's sake if it is possible it would be nice to see. Yes, a lot a coding will go into this. So an idea-- a very vague one at that -- might be this: - Half-Baked Ideas -(Until There are Fully Baked & Frosted Ones) - Use both unique names and account ID's? + Pros: Uh. Might be. More possible. - Cons: Also might be. Impossible. Edit 11/18/16 So. I don't know if the developers saw this or added if of their own voalition or what, but now you can see your previous king's cubs? (At least with your newer dead kings.) I have been inactive for the last four months and don't know when this was implemented, so. Yeah. Anyways, it's done! This topic is closed. |

That's a pretty cool, I've never considered it cause I'm on my first couple of kings worth breeding but that's a really good idea. ![]() |

It isn't a bug or anything; but the problem with making this happen is that all your main lions have the same id as king. Even if my heir has a really long id, like 933758299417665012, when I king him, his id will become 88617. Anyways, that makes the search feature confused, so instead the game searches by identifying the main lion with what I presume is the heir's old id. When I look at sired cubs, it gives me id=761620370257: that makes sense, his sister's id=745602290998. So, instead of associating all the cubs with 88617, it separates them by heir id, which makes sense. It looks like the data about the previous lion is just deleted when a new one is kinged. As such, jnstead of just being able to squish all the 88617 cubs into a neat little "sired" box, an individual page would need to be created for each lion. I'd love for this to be implemented, but I think it maybe would be tough on the servers to store information about every single person's past kings, their ids, and all the cubs they sired, so I'm not sure it's possible. ![]() |

I don't exactly know how this would work either, honestly, and I can see the possible problems with it. It's an idea though, and being so, this is only a suggestion. If it's possible it would be great to see it, but I know the amount of coding that will go into this would take a while or might even be next to impossible. But there might be a solution, although I'm not promising anything since I'm not a coder. This is for future kings, so that if it is possible we can see their cubs, because as you noted all older kings' data are erased when retired. Maybe it could relate to the names, since every male lion's name has to be unique(?) and each account's number. I just want to see if it's plausible, and if it is, can it be implicated. ![]() |
