I think that would help the story. Like we could make the school or place that they all meet have both a day and night school/ Class but some of the human accidentally get put into the night class. And the age part and powers sounds good.

Mmm, maybe there are politics going around, and there's cliques and such. The old order tries to get the older vampires to join in and such, but most aren't that... interested.

I have one very old vampire who's just. Happy to live with his hobo buddy.

Extremely old (turned before 1200 BC):
Most demonic, can turn into a bat and bat-human. No sensitivity to light, but has heightened senses. Succeptible to silver/iron, and draws almost supernatural power (turning into mist, charming people, illusions, etc)

Old Old (turned before 105 AD)
Can hold a human form but extremely disfigured, demonic features growing in. Sunburns easily, weak to iron/silver. Heightened senses. Can transform into a bat, slight supernatural ability (charming).

Pretty Old (turned before 598 AD)
Slight disfigurement, only mouth seems to look like it is filled with fangs. Bat and bat hybrid makes a reappearance. Sunlight causes slight pain and dulls heightened senses.

I'll.... Probably make a bigger post, but you get the idea: as more humans appeared, vampires evolved to be less overtly predatory and more human. Probably let me have a biology post when we make the thread so I can

If you want vampire clans, I could easily have a barrel of fun writing that: simply gonna throw it into the wind! I could even spin up some history to help with older characters!

Just had a passing thought I had and figured it'd be quite fun to have! All different lineages would have different ages and powers associated with them, perhaps with some even retaining ancestral powers or developing new ones!

Though, I do like the idea of a school/communal living area one clan / all of them run. They could teach older vampires how to use technology, have newly fledged ones learn how to be a vampire, and even take humans into some classes as a cover/income! Older ones could possibly be live-ins, teachers, or ambassadors on behalf of their clan.

Yeah. It'd be cool to have ambassadors! Its like all these vampires are all learning to coexist with eachother and make peace. Even though there is bound to be some conflict. (wink- plot -wink)

that's a good idea. So I believe we may have enough to start the sign-up process unless [Side]winder if you want to maybe lay out a few role that will be played. You seem to know more about Vampires then we do. I know well need Elders and whatever the newer ones are called I'm having a really big brain fart right now. I also think we should have those interested into being the main antagonist maybe pm one of us a short break down of how they would play the character like how they would move the plot alone that sort of thing unless one of you want that role.

I don't know much actually o: I'm just trying to make heads or tails of different legends and referencing them! Then adding some worldbuild, the delicious filler!

Though worst problem seems you guys start logging in when I log off for the night :( Might make my replies a bit long-coming, since I'm busy getting my 6 hrs of sleep.

Elders are the oldest, usually you might have one or a few in charge of a clan! Fledgelings are young vampires, still learning the ropes, and there'd probably be more roles to be played, though I'll leave that up to clans! As for antagonist... What is the plot concretely? If humans and vampires are trying to coexist, there's always someone old-styled that is not of the same mind, not liking coexistence and finds it terrible and unnatural for predator and prey to live together.

Just a thought; We could maybe have auditions of sorts for those wanting to play main characters. SO they write about their activity and roleplaying history (how long they've been doing it) and mix that with a roleplay saple from all of them, and then maybe the three of us judge from there?

That would be nice, I've seen people pull apps before and its not really that bad. And that being said, people who'll play the clan heads would have a large part in the RP and be able to influence it a lot, so its not that much of a demand to find someone good and able to respond frequently. (Well, once a day lmao)

Though for the auditions it'd be all just user-made, I don't like telling people word for word what to play. If we a) like the rper and b) feel the app fits, it'd be accepted, easy peazy lemon squeezy.
