I'm always striving to learn new techniques and improve in my art, however I don't mind teaching people some basics/criticizing in a constructive matter if it's something I feel confident in. Traditional or Digital Artist?: Both What things are you good at?: "Good" is pretty objective, but I spend most of my time on humanoids, creatures, and the occasional object. What things do you want to improve?) : I really want to improve in environments and perspective since all of my work is mostly figures, and they can look pretty bland. I also strive to improve in more technical drawings like architecture and vehicles, and of course my human/creature proportions and anatomy. Coloring is also a big thing for me, though I'm decent, I really want to get a better understand of what colors will look good together and how colors will react to certain conditions (lights, water, etc). What program/drawing tablet do you use? : Quite sadly, I use my iPad mini and ibisPaint for most of my digital drawings. If I want to be more experimental and textured, I'll use Autodesk Sketchbook. What type of markers do you use, eg. Copics, Watercolour, pastelle, crayon : My traditional mediums are pretty limited, which I want to change. Right now, I mainly use pens, pencils, markers, and paints from time to time. Excited to see if I can join! Thank you! Backgrounds are such a huge weak spot for me, I always end up opening a dozen references trying to get it right and STILL end up unsatisfied with the result! XD I'm sure that sith enough patience and practice, I'll get to where I want to bs, but for now... transparent it is! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Maybe you should just do some pieces that are nothing but backgrounds to practice. I know I always hate backgrounds because I just want to get to the actual subject of the work, but I'm more patient with landscape pieces. 0 players like this post! Like? |
