That is also why I said it would not look like this it would be straighter and/or rounded.

Yeah, when I said "like" I meant it looked like the tailbone sprouted from the but. (thoug that would be rather creepy xd)

Than I misinterpreted what you wrote XD The tailbone does sprout from the but XD At least kind of I mean as far as I know it is the same bone like the spine and it is connected to the hip which is technically the but XD

But the bone itself? When you lift the tail do you actually see a bone sticking out (this is one weird conversation lol)

I feel it and see it, yes, you see the structure of the bone if the horse is thin or has less tail hair than it should (there are some illnesses where a horse will rub their back at stuff because it hurts so much so they loos tail hair), it connects without any pause you can feel it if you touch it (which I just do for cleaning the horse properly which I do like once in two months)
And some horses love it if you massage the spot where the tail connects (at the top) you can really see how they relax and let their head fall down ^^"

And as far as I know it is the same with dogs and other animals with tail you are just able to see it at horses (at the bottom of the tail)
And I am known for having weird conversations XD Especially if it is 3 o'clock in the morning and I haven't slept in a while XD

I have been reading books about horses since I turned 7 XD and I mainly read those that the adults read XD So I am pretty good at horse anatomy :P

Impressive Vanagandr! I only know a few things about horses (like markings/breeds/anatomy) and only ridden a horse once in my life (I was like, in 4th grade).

I have three other horse ocs, a Clydesdale, Shire, and Black ForestxPaint Horse (of which I need to make reference sheets as well oh boy DX ) I love them to bits x3

Same Vanagandr, at some point I almost had 50 ocs DX I had to get rid of a bunch
Clothes are troublesome to draw, with all them wrinkles and designs like wtf XD
Pretty much anything is troublesome to draw, art is hard DX
