Hey. I've been trying to breed a Leopon for awhile now, but still no luck. But I remember reading a post saying my Lioness had to be spotted?? Do I need some sort of Leopard pattern on my Lioness if I want her to have a Leopon? And if I do, where can I get one? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Exerpt taken from Mutation Masterpost : All Lionesses have a tiny chance and the lower their fertility the higher the chance, but it's still a very low chance. This means items like GMO Cows, Lion Meats and Cotton Root Barks DO work on getting Leopons, as they increas the chance of getting a Mutation in the first place. And sometimes, this mutation can be a Leopon. As stated before, Leopons have some serious drawbacks. The first Leopon (this cutie here) had only 35 birth stats, while her mother was around 390stats at time of conception. The father is listed as Unknown, as it's supposed to be some dashing wandering Leopard Male ;) This might also be the reason behind the lower stats, as this supposed Leopard father is probably not a stat-god like some of the King Lions. Male Leopons can be kinged, but as they are infertile they can't sire any cubs. This means no breeding him to your lionesses or studding him. You can do everything else with a Leopon King you could with a normal Lion, like battle and explore, just not breed with him. Female Leopons, however, can have cubs and actually have a higher chance to birth more Leopon cubs than regular Lionesses. It is still a small chance though. First Generation Leopons all look the same with Yellow Eyes, Kimanjano Base, Dudley Nose, White Underfelt and Mottled Rosette. However, consequent generations of Leopons bred from First Generation Leopons will be able to inherit bases and markings from their Lion fathers, more like we are used to from our normal Lions and Lionesses breeding. This means a Leopon bred from another Leopon might have a different base or more markings. The new marking Leopons bring to the game is Mottled Rosette and then new base is Kimanjano, which Leopons pass onto their cubs realtively easy (including to their lion cubs I would imagine) but regular Lions and Lionesses will have a much harder time passing these two traits on if they have them. Mottled Rosette doesn't appear seemingly at random like the Rosettes and Inverted Rosettes we're used to. Mottled Rosette can only be inherited from Leopons If you're unhappy with their looks, you can use marking applicators and base changers on them! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Nothing of the mother matters when breeding a leopon except her mutation chance; lower fertility and mutation items like GMO cow raise her chance of mutant cub, but nothing can guarantee/help it to be a Leopon. You can only hope you will get this rare mutation out of all possible ones. Spots on parents matter in different kind of breeding - in breeding lions with a Rosette marking. Not Mottled but other rosettes like Onyx Rosette. Rosette markings can appear randomly on bred lions, and certain markings on parents matter in that, though Im not sure where is the user research on that matter. It doesnt have anything to do with Leopons though. 0 players like this post! Like? |

no, you don't need a spotted lioness to get a leopon and your lioness having spots won't help. there is a mutation guide or post that talks about obnoxiously spotted females but it doesn't actually make a difference what will help is breeding vlf females and using things like cotton root bark, lion meat, and gmo cows (should be in the event shop later this moth for jewel beetles) because these raise the chances of mutations in general, leopons among the possibility's 0 players like this post!
