![]() Current Weather: Blistering hot sun without a cloud in sight Enter Canada: Not a drop of rain has been seen since early May, and every animal is feeling it. The sun has become uncharacteristically hot, killing and drying out the Mustangs' main food source: vegetation. The horses have fled to a small, twenty mile area of pine forest, deep in the mountains, seeking shade and relief from the hot sun, which is burning light colored horses. Deer and moose are heading to wetter lands, depriving the wolves of their main food source: fresh meat. Because of this the swollen wolf populous have turned to the horses for food; killing young foals and old horses alike. Safety in numbers has been taken to the extreme, some herds harboring well over a dozen horses. More wolves have passed through these lands, following their prey source. When they happened upon the hundreds of Mustangs hiding in the mountains they stayed, adding to the already overgrown Canis Lupus population. Mares keep even older foals close, and yearlings with a good head on their shoulders dare not stray from the protection of their lead stallion. Because of the dry, sparse grass, lactating mares are condemned to a dwindling milk supply, unfortunately and quite unwillingly starving foals unequipped to graze on what little grass there is. The new wolves brought with them an awful disease, dubbed the "Staggering Sickness". The horses have no known treatment, but healers are working tirelessly to find a cure. It can take anywhere from four to ten days for the symptoms to appear, and contact with the victim's droppings, urine, saliva, nasal discharge, or even breathing the same air will almost guarantee the sickness continues to spread. The main symptoms are thick nasal discharge, staggering gait, hind leg weakness, fever, and lethargy. Some infected horses even die. Wolves seem unable to catch this horrid disease, but it passes from horse to horse like wildfire, and whole herds are dropping like flies, especially with more horses in a smaller area and larger herds. The disease also causes malformed or aborted foals in pregnant mares, and foals, along with the elderly, are more susceptible to it. Character SheetsNo thread generated. Noctis|Open The dark stallion stood beneath a tree watching as a rabbit nervously darted across an open space in the lush pine forest. It looked so soft, with its light brown coat. Suddenly a hawk dove out of the sky with a screech, and the rabbit was gone. Shocked, Noctis looked at the few pieces of downy fluff, the only evidence that the bunny had ever existed. ![]() |

Spade He snorted, "I will if it comes down to your safety young Ti... I wouldn't risk your life over her staying here. Mom may not like it, but I can't help it.. She could be a threat later on." ![]() |

Tibelda- Spade, Brooke Advika Tibelda nodded, flattening her ears. Brooke was being carried on Advika's back, before leaping off and trotting over to Spade and Tibelda. Tibelda flicked her ears, looking up at her father questioningly. Hey Tibelda!! I was across the river and playing with a wolf!! And guess what color it was guys.... Red!! It was so coollllll, and I pinned her, and then Advika tried to scare her away.... Brooke purred, rubbing against Tibelda. Tibelda bumped her noseon her shoulder as greeting. Spade, Brooke mewed. Can you teach me how to climb? Shunder said she will but I haven't seen her.She added, licking her legs before sticking her tongue out. Tibelda giggled as he saw fur on her tongue. ![]() |

Sereno>>Antoinette, Noctis "None, which is why I would like to discuss the herd name with him and you." He said as he began to look for him with Antoinette by his side. "Noctis, there you are." He said when he spotted the black stallion. "I've been meaning to discuss with you our herd name." He said with a smile. Alycone >> no one Alycone had took her time as she patrolled the territory, she didn't know why she would be happy one moment then sad the next. This was so unlike her. When she had finished she slowly made her way back to the herd, but not before stopping to eat some wild berries. Rena>> Open Rena shook her fuzzy mane as she began to chase butterflies. She was a fast runner for her age, but still not as fast as Anya. She only chased butterflies to train herself to become faster. ((All are so damn short... Sorry writers block..)) ![]() |

Fire- mentions: Alycone (indirectly) Fire had grown tired of watching, seeing no danger he put his headband down and grazed silently. He flicked his tail and snorted softly as flies flew around him. He sighed softly and pawed the ground and licked some of the dirt. He wondered what he had done so wrong to make her snap like she did. He had never seen her that mad and it worried him. She could leave him, if he made her that mad she could leave him. ![]() |

Brooke - Spade, Tibelda Brooke tilted her head, flicking her ears before nodding excitedly, unsheathing herclaws and leaping onto a tree, running up. But she made the mistake of trying to run on the tree, and fell on her back, flipping onto her paws. She shook her pelt, an embarassed look on her face. Looks like that didn't work.. She said with a cheesy, toothy smile. Tibelda came up to her and bumped her nose against Brooke's/ I'll stay with you, so when you fall I'll catch you! Tibelda whinnied, swishing her tail. Brooke blinked. But I'm too big... She protested. She did 't want to hurt Tibelda. She is her step-sister.... sort of. Brooke trotted to a tree with a big trunk, sniffing it before unsheathing her claws. With a wave of her tail, she laped hugging the tree her claws sinking in. She slipped her claws clawing at the tree. Tibelda pushed her up with her head, Brooke hooking her clas in the bark and walking u steadily. She should've already known how to climb. She was as big as Tibelda, a inch taller or less. Her spots now disappeared, and she had light brown, dense fur. You are almost to a branch!! Just look up!! Tibelda called, rearing and striking the air with her hooves. Brooke lifted her head, looking at a branch she could reach. Brooke braced herself, kicking her bak legs and leaping onto the branch, the lower half of her body dangling. She pulled herself up, panting. She was pretty far up, but she wanted to go to the very top. SHe hopped to another branch, almost slipping, before she hoppd to another. The tallest branhes were too thin and weak, so she could only go a few meters to the top. Her eyes widened as she looked at the view. If she knew she could see the landscape like this she would've learned how to climb a while ago. Spade Advika looooook!! ![]() |
