On stacks of food there's a delightful little dropdown menu that saving you the trouble of going to every page of every item in the stack by choosing a lion and letting the menu choose the item with the closest expiration left.

This option is not available for toys. I think it should be, and should work by choosing the item that has the least amount of uses left.
