I really like the mane that the rabid lion has from the October explore encounter.

I like how it spikes up on top of his head and it comes up onto the sides of his face and looks unkept.

And on this one how it trails down his back and a little onto his shoulders. So a combination of both I think would look really good.
It could be an applicator released for the October event. The event is nightmares and rabies but so far we have two for the nightmares diabolic and hellrazer so this one could be rabid mane shape for the rabies part

My contribution: while you have rabies have a very small chance to pass the mane when breeding.
