Hi, I just joined the clan - thanks btw for accepting me!
I've been very fed-up with my side account for a long time (basically since the changes in base-breeding and how they pass, since it completely screwed up my Sepia-project), so I am super excited to take up this new challenge and finally have a new direction for my pride!
I came across the idea of hard mode a few month back and since then it stuck with me, so here I am, finally. Re-rolled my king today and completely customized him (gotta have standards!). I'm just waiting for the Ivory base app this month, then he'll be complete.
I also have a few lovely NCLs already and I can't wait to see his first cubs in 3 days <3
My goal with this is mainly to breed natural-is lions in brown and cream tones (though I do have a few colours in my den...I mean, who doesn't keep a gorgeous Maroon NCL with Bloodbourne Vit?)
I am also planning to get myself 10 RMAs and put them all ona markingless NCL just for the fun of it :D
But yeah, mainly brown and cream. Hopefully.
I'm not sure if I'll do the whole no-inbreeding thing, though. I'm probably just gonna do the easy variation with inbreeding for now and see where it gets me and maybe I'll switch over once I'm a bit less scared by this new pride of mine XD

Your goals seem pretty exciting! It's awesome that you have an idea/direction in which you want to take with your pride. I'm not really sure myself. I've never really considered genetics when breeding, because I went on a lengthy hiatus before genetics were in the game and then returned in the midst of them. So, at the moment, I'm just trying out the chances and whatnot with special bases by breeding NCLs (chased and not) to Hard Mode studs or any other studs without a heritage. I'm more interested in Red and Black bases, so if I produce any Cream cubs, I can message you about them?

That feeling when you've been trying for rosette breeding on your main and then an NCL throws one on your side. In a color that you 'disallow' from your challenge.

*facepaw*

But seriously, had an inverted gold rosette today! And don't know what to do with her - I could shift her over to my main and continue to try to pass it on I suppose, since she is clean lined at least? I feel like it'd be a waste to keep her in my HM pride.

Edit: Durr, I could offer her to clean lined folk.

That's like... good bad luck? x) I mean, good in that rosettes are hard to pass and woo you finally got one! But bad that it didn't come out of your intended breedings...

Recently, I got a mottled and I wasn't even thinking about that. I mean, I knew the father had the mark but I only bred my lioness with him to try and get a special base... didn't pass the base, but got the cool marking. But I don't really know how I feel about the cub. It's a cool marking, but I'm not really focused on it? I don't know. I might just keep her and try something later later.

Holy cow i can't believe what just happened to me

Not only did i get one caingorm cub, but i got TWO. IN THE SAME LITTER. WITH ONLY TWO CUBS!!

Unfortunatly theyre gen 3 so not hard mode compatible but.... i'm honestly tempted to king one anyway. Or at least king one on my side. Neither inherited too many marks unfortunatly but I'll just rma them + some holiday marks :)

The real question is, which one do you think is nicer?
