Love that piebald was added in, I was expecting and hoping it would work like a normal mutation that can pop up though. Unfortunately I'm gonna have to sit in the "I can't afford this" corner too since I'm unemployed. Hopefully the prices won't be as crazy as leopons/dwarves for them though so maybe i can buy one for currency in the future.

Ambers - I honestly don't mind expensive items, I only mind them when I find them super overpriced... which is this case. When this app shows up in the market its GB price will be pretty much equivalent to the real money one, so I'm still bothered about this because I find it unnecessarily expensive regardless. Even for an exclusive app, I still haven't found a good justification for it coming in the $50 pack when you aren't even able to pick which piebald pattern you want. $50 is a LOT for a virtual item, and unlike with GB items I can't gather this amount without real money. I'd understand it if it came in the $25 pack, but definitely not $50.

If I find a good justification then I will be fine with it. Until then I will stay really frustrated over this.

Actually, there was a question I didn't ask; The packs... do you get them when you buy gb or are the completely separate? Because if that's the case then I'm going to kind of agree with those that can't afford it; I'd saved up a lot to buy gb to get more space and the like.... I can't validate that kind of money on a pack, mutation or decor... My money is strictly what is needed in game and sadly that doesn't include packs that'll make my Pride pretty...

P.P.S. I'm not trying to start a fight. I'm not complaining about it being expensive (not really, I'm just stating that it is in my opinion as are probably many others - you also have to remember that the site currency might change depending on where you are in the world (<- I'm not sure if it does or not)). I'm not saying that the prices should be lowered for anything. The site needs funding in some form or another; I know this. I know the game took money, most do. I like the expensive stuff, I do, I even like that they are expensive; it makes it unique to those that do have it. If everyone had it, that wouldn't be fun. I get it and I like it. However, when you are someone who lives week to week on a paycheck and need to survive on said payment along with a certain amount of other people or you could be just too young and have to ask your guardians for money and validate why; money is hard to spare - and this isn't particularly my situation but it's close. (I know of a 10 yr who works as dog walker, all the money she earns is handed to her guardian (every cent) so that she can help with food - so whether your young with or without a job doesn't really matter). When you are in a situation where money is hard to spare, you are going to be envious of having things you can't afford/don't have - human nature, even I have it.
People have to understand that before getting mad or upset or emotional over those that can't afford it. I'm not having a go at anyone, and I'm not trying to accuse people of not being caring. I just wanted to state this fact before an argument or something broke out in the forms or someone miss understood me.
Also, just 'cause they say they can't afford doesn't mean they aren't thankful to the admins. I'm thankful to the admins, you're thankful for the admins, everyone's thankful for/to the admins and I'm sure the admins are thankful of our appreciation even if we don't mention it.

Now I've said my peace and will patiently wait for my question to be answered while everyone continues commenting.

Sorry, Admins, if any of what I've said has broken the rules. Let me know and I'll happily edit it as I don't wish to be kicked from the game; it has quickly become one of my favourites.

Last time I checked you can still earn GB in the game and/or trade items in other to get the piebald item so I don't see the problem here. "It's too expensive" isn't a good argument. We have other things on the site that's expensive. Should we lower the price for leopons and dwarves because people can't afford them?

I'm sure the site needs money and to have people need to buy $50 worth of GB in order to get the piebald item seems like a pretty damn good incentive to make people to buy GB. Just because you have a minority that can't afford the item doesn't mean that it's a bad decision in the slightest.

I didn't just blurt out "It's too expensive", I explained my arguments for why I think it's too expensive and why I still don't think that price is justified. Piebald is a marking kind of mutation, it causes no changes on the lion's lineart besides adding a piebald pattern, and besides this we don't even get to pick which pattern we want out of the seven possibilities. For a price so high I'd expect the mutation to cause considerable changes on the lion's lineart or at the very least to be able to choose the marking I want. Therefore I think $25 would be a much fairer pack for this app to come in.

When did I say we should lower the price of other mutations just because "they are too expensive"? I find their prices very fair and justifiable and wouldn't complain about that. And sure the site needs money and I understand implementing ways to encourage the userbase to buy GB, but I'd appreciate it being done with fair deals instead of this.

Yeesssss I've been waiting for this sale foreverrrrr. I'm gonna have so many piebald apps omg.

Also to those complaining, I started babysitting/petsitting when I was quite young as a way to make money and I used to spend it on virtual currency all the time. I now have a real job and bills (including expensive college loans) but I always save a little money to spend on myself. There's tons of ways to make money if you actually want to put forth the effort. There's also ways to make money on the site to buy your own piebald app. The fact the the app is even being included as a bonus in the sale is very gracious of the admins. Please don't complain.
