So, I know I'm not crazy when I say I've seen other posts for these, and I'm certain that I'm not the only one who would like it, consequently. But, there are tens of dozens of species of arachnids that live all over the continent of Africa, and in its many countries, even off on Madagascar, and other nearby islands. So, I think the fact that there are precisely two spider decors in the game is a bit sad. Of course, we all understand that art takes time, and we don't expect to see hundreds of new little spider decors. But, a few different ones would be nice. I've included a few sketches of some of the more recognizable and interesting species, at least, what I think are interesting, above. Now, of course we don't need all of them-- even just having the p. muticus, or any other species of Baboon would be lovely. But I would like to see more diversity in the arachnids, and since we have SO many butterflies, I don't think it'd be outlandish to have more than just the crawling spiders, two scorpions, and one of over 150 species of solifugae that live in the deserts of Africa. If you'd like a bit of a closer look at the sketches I did, here's a link to the album. In order of the listing on the album, they are: *Darwin's Bark Spider *Black-Footed Yellow Sac Spider *African Cave Spider/Tailless Whip Scorpion *Ogre-Faced Spider/Net-Casting Spider *Vampire Spider *Gabon Blue Dwarf Baboon Spider *Violin Spider/Recluse Spider *Latrodectum: assorted Black Button Spiders, Brown Widow Spider, Brown Button Spider. l. cinctus, l. karrooensis, l. indistinctus, l. renivulvatus, l. geometricus, l. rhodesiensus. species by location. *King Baboon Spider *Rain Spider *South African Solifuge, DCV *Six-Eyed Sand Spider Of course, be warned; like above, they are spider sketches. Don't click on them if you don't want to take a closer look, but they are just rough sketches, and not photos for a reason. ;) Some ways that you might be able to acquire them could be through event decors, or random encounters like the single-use decors they have for other insects, or the common raven. That way they could be acquirable easily for everyone, or craftable! (thank you for the suggestion, Skyfox(#29448)!) Thank you as always for your consideration! If you like this idea, please support it. If you have other lovely species to suggest, like heteroscodra maculata, or any other tarantulas, or arachnids that weren't included, feel free to say it! And if you don't support it, that's fine. But please don't reject it all because they're "creepy crawlies." Africa's diverse biomes and climates lead to much more than simply big cats, and pretty birds. And with a game so diverse as LioDen, I feel we can afford to have a few more spiders. Cordially, Herr |

I don't exactly like spiders, but I wouldn't mind seeing one as a decor. I know a lot of people would like that and they'd probably look pretty cool if they had some nice poses. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Karmo, Thank you so much!!! <3 I love solifuges too, they're just so cute, with their round little bums and big heads. @Ripley, thank you for your support regardless! <3 Spiders aren't for everyone. 0 players like this post! Like? |
