Vladimir | Male | 5 | Beta of Genosses Vlad would remain quiet as his siblings spoke, ears craned forward with attentive duty. He knew that Roman, as well as the other two males fighting in the courtyard, would be rather tired this evening. Vlad had presumed that he would lead the expected hunt already, as he had already been thinking of who to elect to go. He had been a bit slow in his response on the matter, noting his sister’s eager quest to lead the hunt herself. Vlad smirked with pride, aware of his sister’s independent nature and will to take charge. ”I had planned to lead the hunt for the lame cow, but you’re welcome to the task, Sis. But perhaps one more wolf would do us good. The cow was not spent just yet, and could still inflict some damage we should avoid.” he’d add in the conversation, remembering time and time again the power behind an adult elk’s blow. He’d rather not see one of them end up with a broken jaw. Gaze would linger on Silk a moment, noting her muscular build and the obvious power that radiated beneath her dark coat. No doubt she would be able to use that strength to bring down a large animal, as long as she worked well within a hunting party. He didn’t know the fae very well but expected he would know a lot more if he hunted alongside her. Aedeian was young, but obviously favored by his sister, which had to have merit somehow. Perhaps she would join them as well? Vlad was curious of her experience as well. Thoughts rolled within his mind, wondering if maybe waiting until tomorrow was a better decision. Ultimately, he decided against it, fully confident in both his and Mercy’s abilities as well as Silks. Surely Aedeian was capable as well, if the title of champion should have any indication. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Source Aedeian | Champion of Genosses | 2 1/2 Years | Location: Courtyard Aedeian noticed the Alpha's eyes on her, as well as his brother's, and she would be lying if she said the fevered intensity of their gazes didn't affect her in the slightest. She felt this opportunity- the tournament- would be an ideal chance to prove her worth to the rest of the pack, and ultimately receive Roman's official acceptance as a Champion. She was worried too, though- she was smaller than most of the wolves in the pack, which was the predominant reason as to the pack's mistrust. She understood their unease though; how could she possibly be worthy of a rank above them if she was once a rogue, and nearly half their size? She was extremely confident in her abilities, but she worried that that might be her opponent's downfall. She was interrupted in her deep thoughts by the deep tenor of Beta Vlad's voice, sending tingles along her spine. ”I had planned to lead the hunt for the lame cow, but you’re welcome to the task, Sis. But perhaps one more wolf would do us good. The cow was not spent just yet, and could still inflict some damage we should avoid.” She looked up again, noticing the Beta's gaze on her, assessing her and no doubt thinking of more ways for her to prove herself. As he spoke, she found herself drawn to the side of his muzzle, where a scar made the teeth on that side more noticeable. It made him look dangerous. She had noticed he had been checking out Silk, the black she-wolf. Silk and herself had a neutral relationship, neither disliking each other, but not acquainted enough to like each other yet. She thought maybe a hunt might change that. "If I may," she said, aiming her words at the two Betas and, of course, the Alpha. "Could i ask to join this hunt? If we have enough numbers, we may be able to score the elder and a fawn." She hoped it was not inappropriate for her to invite herself along. "It would be beneficial for the pack? 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 14/12/16 @ 22:43:19 by SmokeOnTheWater (#83166) |

• Mercy | Beta Female of Genosses | 5 years | Location: Den "Are you sure you can lead a hunt brother" her tone changing to more of a taunting tease, as she bumped him rather hard in the side with her hips. Mercy did enjoy teasing Vlad and even Roman at times, I guess you could say it was her duty as their sister to do so. A quick nip to Vladimir's ear would help remind him of just that fact. Dark orbs would turn to Aedeian, she was young but the beta had faith that she would do well in a hunt. She already knew Silk could handle a hunt, otherwise she would not have elected her up for a spot in the party. "You don't have much of a choice. I am bringing you along no matter what dear" she stated rather matter of factly. "Though I'm not sure we can take out a fawn and the cow..though we will see when we get there" 0 players like this post! Like? |

Aes| Warrior of Genosses | 5 Years | Mentions: Rajat Location: Courtyard Aes swung in towards his opponent the taste of blood flooding his mouth. A strange croon rose from his throat, a deep and craggy sound accompanying the the shrill cry of pain. Rajat's jaws collided with the side of Aes' neck but the brute was moving in a sweeping motion causing the grip to shred fur and skin. The wound was deep, but did little to stop Aes' encouraging rage. While a yelp of pain threatened to rise from Aes' own jaws he let out instead another of his strange battle cry. The pale animal was ducking in a way, aiming to throw his full weight under Rajat's limbs. As the wolf was moving towards Aes, the motion could carry the frosty brute over Aes spine and to the ground. If this succeeded Aes would swiftly bury his jaws in whatever flesh he could find till submission was reached. If this did not succeed, he would lunge back from the fight and await his opponents next move. Aes' gold glittering eyes flashed with a delighted gleam. While others might have thought no one watching would make Aes less vicious or mindful in his attacks they would be wrong. Aes was the sort who would throw himself into a fight regardless of who or what was watching. If no one was watching, so be it, he could care less in the moment. He would indeed, care later, as his entire goal was to rise in the ranks. However, he was so fully involved in this battle he hardly seemed to notice the other wolves slowly disappear one at a time. In any other situation he might have taken time to notice, but Rajat was for more skilled than Aes' last opponent and required more attention to be paid. No matter the way this battle ended, Aes felt a growing respect for his new pack brother. Blood dripped from the wound on his neck, splattered against the ground and causing it to be slick. His jaws gnashed with his passion, matching his eyes in their glittering ferocity. In his weighty action of throwing himself towards Rajat, his limbs left the ground, ensuring that the other would fell all of Aes' one hundred and twenty five pound weight. That was where Aes had Rajat, not only with his strange bit of insanity but also with his crushing weight. The other wolf hadn't been so lucky with food, and his somewhat malnourished frame was smaller and weaker than it could be. Aes had little doubt in his mind that once Rajat had a little extra meat on his bones the other brute would be an opponent he would have to worry about even more. 0 players like this post! Like? |

By the time that this 'growing hunting party' had finally decided who was participating and what exactly they were after, their handsome Caesar would have already successfully exited the den from between their parting bodies. With the thought of a coming meal -hopefully his wolves being successful, Roman did not hesitate to begin tackling the rest of that tattered doe carcass. Muscular bod and strong jaws would become paired in their effort to yank the frozen doe from beneath a sheet of ice, hauling it closer to Ase and Rajat's duel so that the Alpha could feast whilst with a clear view of their spar. While both watching and eating, thoughts of the pack's coming tournament would be mulled over. On the occasion he was distracted by one of the brawler's excited growls, his own throat producing a whine-like noise as he began to share in their raw satisfaction. 0 players like this post! Like? Aes| Warrior of Genosses | 5 Years | Mentions: Rajat Location: Courtyard Aes flung himself through the air, narrowly missing his target as Rajat sailed beneath his heavy body. Like an ugly butterfly Aes prepared himself to land, only for his hind paw to be caught in the other male's locking jaws. To avoid completely destroying his foot, the male managed to roll onto his back and land on the earth catching the brunt of it with his shoulders. His other paw, immediately started to pummel Rajat's head, aiming for his eyes and nostrils. All the wholly hair on the back of Aes neck stood on end, growing to a terrible lenght. His eyes flashed with all the fire and fury of his insane rage, the hellish gleam signalling Rajat would face the brunt of all his rage when he was able to rise. His heart beat thundered in his chest, filling his ears with the sounds like a war drum. Luckily for Aes' massive paw, it had landed in the space where where there were not as many teeth. His toes in fact, were softly padded by the former loner's tongue. The brute knew his foot was at least slightly injured, for a drip of blood threatened to roll with saliva from the corner of Rajat's maw. Aes jaws parted fully, exposing a terrible sound to the world. It was like the sound of a roar and a snarl all at once, the sound then crashed into a high pitched wolf scream. His front paws were curled tightly to his chest, ready to fly out should Rajat come for his throat. His lips peeled so far back the reddish flesh turned pale as it was pressed harshly against the bone of his maw. As soon as his paw was freed, Aes would fly to his feet, ready to face another attack from the frosted fellow. There was no way that Aes would accept being beaten in such a fashion. If he were today defeated, tomorrow he would sneak upon Rajat with a terrible wrath. If it meant Aes death he would not care, the skinny beasty was not going to defeat him. In one way or another, Aes planned on letting the malnourished brute know full well that he would not accept anything but a win. There were some acceptations to this rule of his, but still in his heart he hated defeat. Eventually this hatred would kill the partly insane animal. The need to win and thrive, even when defeat was inevitable, it ran so strong in his veins. One merely had to glance into his great fiery eyes and see the hatred for all that defeat was, and see the will to live beneath the rippling pelt. Only once they saw that will to live, and could feel the hatred, only then would they know the full extent of Aes prowess. He was like a wild berserker willing to die if he could at least die with his enemies throat clamped between his jaws. Yes, Aes was destined to die in the most extraordinary way. Be it in a looser's jaws, or at the paws of his alpha, Aes was destined to die for his hatred. For after all the blood of the forest ran through his veins, it said kill or be killed, rise or fall. There was no other options, this had been so instilled in his mind it was all but seered into the very making of his being. 0 players like this post! Like? Source Aedeian | Champion of Genosses | 2 1/2 Years | Location: Courtyard "You don't have much of a choice. I am bringing you along no matter what dear" Mercy stated rather matter of factly. "Though I'm not sure we can take out a fawn and the cow..though we will see when we get there" Aedeian grinned at Mercy's determined statement, pride rising in her chest at the Beta's trust in her abilities as a Champion. ”Indeed. We should focus on the injured first. It will feed us for a longer time, and any calves will hopefully only grow fatter for next time." She also nodded, taking both Mercy and Vlad's constructive criticism into consideration for the future- she was only young, and she knew she had much to learn. She took a step ahead of the others, coming up next to Vlad to speak in a lower tone. "Would it be possible for me to speak to the Alpha quickly before we leave? I'd still like to participate in the tournament when we get back." She hoped they would be back in time; but if they weren't she wanted to make sure that Roman knew that she wanted a round in the Pit. She desperately wanted to prove herself, as both a Champion and a worthy pack member, to all. She hated the way she'd had to act lately; pretty much almost skulking around, trying not to get into people's ways until she had gained their respect. She wanted to be able to walk with her head held high, and for people to know who she was, for all the right reasons. She knew that was usually reserved for the Alphas of a pack, but she hoped Roman would understand that it wasn't her challenging his authority- it was just who she was. 0 players like this post! Image: The earth-tone she-wolf would listen to her alpha, silently agreeing with him. A large honor had been bestowed upon her. Bearing the pack's first litter was something few wolves have gotten to participate in. Brooke watched as Roman left her in the den. Once he had left her presence, the caretaker would sit up and look out of the main den, overall pleased with the way the day was going. She had not been given the chance to have any interaction with the new member of the pack, but he seemed like a good addition to their small group. Hips would rise as the she-wolf began to walk out of the den. She was immediately greeted with a cluster of eager canines who were going on about tournaments and hunts. Of course, Brooke would not be participating in such activities. She was a care taker, not a hunter or fighter. Although, maybe one day she'd ask her alpha to arrange some training sessions for the inexperienced wolf; that day would not be soon, especially with the potential of pups on the way. Brooke stayed in the shadows of the cave wall, listening to all the excited wolves discuss the dangerous events. However, the she-wolf soon lost interest in their conversation and slipped by the group, careful not to disturb any tails or pelts. Lengthy tail swaying lazily from side to side, Brooke became interested in the battle happening in the courtyard. She laid on a mostly dry patch of dirt near the edges of the courtyard, watching the two brutes tussle with interest. While the she-wolf did not wish to participate in such activities, she did enjoy watching the spars that happened within camp. Brooke's head would stay raised with ears pointed towards the two males as she watched their attacks. 0 players like this post! Like? |

• Mercy | Beta Female of Genosses | 5 years | Location: Den- Courtyard With a so.ewhat plan settled for the hunt, Mercy was now ready to go. She would move from her brothers side, exiting the den, signaling she was ready to begin. The fae would remain in the courtyard waiting for the others. Perhaps she could even catch the end of the fight. Positioning herself closer to the brawling males, but not close enough to be in the way. Mercy watched again with heightened intrest, it seemed that the two were nearly evenly matched. Once again the sounds of the fighting would fuel the fire inside her, and her need to release energy on an opponent. However this would be satisfied during the tournament, and who ever her brother decided to pit her against. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Roman was not as oblivious to his other surroundings as some may have thought. Although a good portion of his focus was split between both his meal and fight in front himself, it was not impossible for his attention to be drawn away by the mention of his rank, by Aedeian. A single ear was flicked sideways to acknowledge her wordy concern, listening intently though finding it difficult with the emission of many'a snarls and lengthy growls. "The tournament will begin a day after you've returned," he'd muse loudly, hinting towards the intent to both wait AND award them a day of rest. Face followed his ear's flick thereafter, a questioning gaze landing upon the young Aedeian. Did she have other concerns in which to bring to him? (I apologize for shortness, I'm about to be on the road.) [ Aedeian: Aedeian is a Worthy, not a Champion. The ranks are similar but one is only called Champion when they have won 3 fights and are deemed undefeated. ] 0 players like this post! Like? |

Source Aedeian | A Worthy Genosses | 2 1/2 Years | Location: Courtyard Extra Notes: Champion of Previous pack, with no losses. Aedeian turned when she heard her Alpha answer her question, meeting that intense gaze once again. She was glad that Roman was giving them a day’s rest after the hunt; she wanted to be in peak condition for the fights ahead. “Thank you,” she said, bowing her head in respect. She noticed the Alphas questioning gaze, and she knew that if she wanted to ask anything more of him, now was the time. ”If I may, sir,” she began, assessing his features as she spoke. “May I ask if you have selected an opponent for me as of yet?” She asked this as a pre-battle preparation; she wanted to know if she was being pitted against someone with equal skills and training- say, another Champion or Worthy- or a lower ranked wolf who was eager to gain the rank of Worthy or Champion. She desperately hoped for the former, as she quite liked a bit of competition to make it exciting, whereas a wolf with lesser training would not last five minutes, but she would take the opportunity for a spar anytime. She did not brag about her skills; it wasn’t in her nature, but her almost undefeated battle streak with her previous pack was tangible proof that she would leave quite a few wolves in the dust of The Pit tomorrow. Thinking of her last pack, the copper she-wolf fought the urge to scowl, hind leg twitching as she remembered one of the few fights she had lost, and she had been deemed lame for almost a month. The sudden urge to release her anger on another was almost overwhelming, and she had to take a deep breath, calming herself. She yearned for the adrenaline of the fight, the intensity of her senses as she lunged at her opponent, and the sudden surge of power that took over her senses as she stood over her fallen opponent, fangs bared inches from their throat. It was her Alpha blood calling, fighting to overt her dominance over a lesser……. Her thoughts were interrupted by the Alpha’s answer. (Definitely alright :D ) [ oh, sorry about that. She was a Champion in her previous pack, hence why multiple times characters like Mercy and Roman mentioned how she must have earned that rank, as she had never lost a fight except to her brother and father when she was young. She has yet to prove that she should remain a Champion in the Genosses pack however, so I understand if you'd still like me to refer to her as a Worthy instead :D ] 0 players like this post! Like? |
