The Wild Equine Roleplay (TWER).

Welcome everyone to The Wild Equine Roleplay. I know its not the most exciting or imaginative name in the world, but it does what it says on the tin! This is a roleplay for wild horses and I hope a lot of people will want to join. I have strived for realisim in it all, except one thing. I have included every recognised horse breed in the world in this, so for such diverse breeds to exist and in one place you shall have to suspend your disbelief, and just imagine that the world of this roleplay consists of just the land seen in the map below. It may be hard but I think with determination and a lot of creativity, we can do it! :D

The Rules.

Anyway, the rules that follow are basic and pretty much common sense but it needs to be said and it needs to be read, so here it goes:

> Treat others as you would be like to be treated - nicely and with respect
> No powerplaying/god-moding or whatever you kids are calling it these days
> Please try to make sure you use proper spelling and grammer. No chat/text speak!
> If you have any questions or problems don't be afraid to ask :)
> You must obey Lioden's rules
> And finally you cannot use any picture here in this roleplay unless you have gotten the permission to use it. If you need help doing this and finding 'stock' photos please do not hesitate to ask. Stealing is bad.

The Ranks.

Now, onto more fun things! A lot of ranks is usually made up for groups of animals but here there are only a few. You have the 'lone' horse that your character starts out with whether its a female or male. Then once your character gains a herd and territory it can inherit a new rank. For males, if they have won the territory then they are now Lead Stallion, and for females if they have been chosen by the Lead Stallion to lead the herd then she is now the Matriarch. Thats pretty much it. Simples!

Claiming & Fighting For Territories.

Each territory has its own thread for you to roleplay on. At the bottom of this post will be a list of links for this roleplay and this will be put on the end of every post that is used for this roleplay. Stallions - If you wish to own one of the territories then you must select its link to go to it. Once there if there are no posts of any horses there, then the territory is immediately yours once you have posted your first roleplay post there.

However if it is already taken by a herd then you may fight the current Lead Stallion to not only gain the territory as your own but also his herd too! Three posts will be made by both stallions. Once this is done then Bamon (#9657 or #12532) should be notified and she will judge on which horse should win based on their three roleplay posts each. The winner keeps the territory and herd, and the other stallion must move on to No Man's Land where he must spend a season to recover - Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter depending on which month it is at that time. After the stallion has recovered he may try to gain a new territory!

Something unique, I feel, to this roleplay is that if the Lead Stallion of a herd dies or goes AWOL then the Matriarch of the herd can then own the territory as her own until a time comes that a stallion proves his worth to lead the herd. Something else unique to this roleplay is that if one mare can gain a group of ten mares under her wings, which means they look up to her as a Matriarch, then she can claim a territory of her own just like a stallion can. Beware though, if she does have to fight a stallion to get a territory then it will be risky as if she should loose the stallion may choose to either banish her and the other mares from his territory forever (assuming he passes this on to his heir and so on), or he can claim her and her group of mares as his own.

The Seasons & Event Notifications.

SPRING: 1st to the 7th of the month
> Breeding occurs here.

AUTUMN: 14th to the 20th of the month
> Humans appearances are more common here.
__________________________________________________
WINTER: 21st to the end of the month
> Predators are more desperate now and will appear more often.

Every so often Bamon will post at random in the territories and No Man's Land event notifications. Sometimes a predator will pose a threat, or humans will appear to aquire horses from the herds to break in, train, and sell off. Sometimes it could be a natural occurance like the weather, such as a hail storm. Either way, a random event will be posted and it is up to all of your horses to decide how to react and how best to save the herd. This is the time to truly prove your worth as a Lead Stallion, Matriarch, and member of the herd!

Future Expansions.

If this becomes successful then we may expand on the ranchers side of the story and see what happens when our wild horses meet humans both good and bad. If you also have an idea for this roleplay don't hesitate to speak up!
