When people donate cubs to the giving tree or chase adult lionesses (so they becomes NCL)-their stats are being wiped.That happens also to leopon mutation (and will for any future hybrid mutations).
Also,Lioden's stat inheritance system is a bit complex.Cub's stats are not passed from both parents like Mom's stats+Dad's stats=Cub's stats or even half of their stats summarised.Even a 2000 stats+2000 stats pairing does not guarantee 2000 cubs,but might be 800+ or 1000+ (stat breeders are more experienced in that so they may correct me if it's a bit more or less). :)

When it comes to stat breeding it's a bit complicated.
You need to add father stats without skill, then mother stats without skill, and then take a rough 12% from it. Said 12% is the possible cub stats or the range in which the stats will be.
Here is a handy stat calculator made by Feather, one of our mods. It's still just an user made thing, but can give you a rough estimated stats.
