The resounding sound of stone against stone clangs and echoed through the shallow canyon, but canine barks and conversation falsify any suspicion about human presence. The atmosphere is arid and hot, but not unpleasantly so. As you step through the winding corridor, the burning sensation of eyes upon your pelt arises and you begin to grow warmer than you were before, the feeling of intrusion creeping into your mind. Faintly, claws scribble and scurry as a lanky wolf scrambles from a previously closed opening on the surface (invisible to you) and bolts eastward, towards his camp.

The scout slips down a neat tunnel, appearing below the surface again, and is immediately met by the stern face of his superior. Ears and tail lower respectfully before he delivers his news. "An outsider, Supreme Orion," he reports, scrabbling back up the tunnel he'd just come from. The brutish male strides to the canyon entrance and sits, waiting for your arrival.

The clanging sounds grow louder as you approach, and an odd camp comes into view at the end of the canyon. Your gait quickens until you step into the wide, shallow basin. Wooden structures dot the area and inside them you can see the silhouettes of working wolves. Tanning racks stretch various hides next to the worker's buildings, drying and tempering in the sun. Nearly all of them sport some type of weaponry, whether it be a small knife, a tomahawk, or a short spear. The vast majority also wears leather armor and/or jewelry of skilled craftsmanship. Your sight is interrupted by a burly gray male, who analyzes you for a moment before a gruff voice is passed through skilled teeth, "Any good with a knife?"

The main camp of Starseeker Pack lies in the wide, round bottom of a shallow canyon basin, a two week walk from the borders of two other major packs, Duskfall, Sunrise. These wolves are usually intelligent, but not skilled in hand-to-hand (or in this case, claw and tooth) combat. To make up for this, however, the wolves of Starseeker have, for generations, been master craftsmen. Weapons and armor have been their specialty for as long as they could fashion tools, but the crafting wolves specialize in jewelry and architecture as well. Dens are

Fox, ram, badger, deer, coyote, and wild boar are often found nearby in the forests and plains. In the open plain, a bison herd can often be found, but such animals are incredibly difficult to hunt, often needing half the pack to get a decent-sized juvenile. A lush plain thirty minutes away serves as the spring and summer home to an expansive herd of mustangs, who, if the pack is in great famine, will sometimes be sought after. A long, winding river flows an hour away and water is often difficult to get.

●Deltas continue their training inside of the pack until they are 16 months old and leave for a season and a half (typically during the summer) to train and learn how to lead a pack. They will have a month to touch up on their normal techniques, then spend a month with a noble to learn diplomacy and the beta to learn how to lead. After their training with their Noble and the Beta, a month is spent in the other packs meeting the other alphas, spending a few days getting to know the pack, etc.
