Heidi could tell that Eros's parents were slightly like him or his father was at least. More quiet and serious. Something that Heidi was the opposite of though she tried not to show it so that she could impress his mother and father. "Yes ma'am I am," she answered, offering the older lady a smile, wondering if she were the first to be staying with Eros? The first to meet his parents?

"Interesting." His mom smiled and sat down on the large couch when Eros lead them in that direction.

"Dinner will be ready in fifteen minutes." Eros said before walking back to the kitchen to avoid anymore conversation and for the first time his father spoke up, "Nice to meet you Heidi." Was all he said though before turning his attention to the rest of his family.

Heidi watched Eros leave to go into the kitchen, but she didn't want to seem snobby in any way and sat down on the couch and smiled. "So, Mr, Mrs. Karpelli, how did the two of you guys meet?" she asks, wanting to learn all about Eros's family. Learning about Eros was always something that she liked doing. She knew that he went into the kitchen to avoid his family, and she would join him after getting some information that she wanted about him.

Clara, Eros' mom spoke up, "In high school actually, Mark was always the serious type and never spoke much to people he didn't know well." She said, her hand resting on her husband's knee.

"I wasn't serious...I was just-ok maybe I was a bit on the serious side." Mark said, his face staying the same expression even though his voice was laced with humor.

"Now I know where Eros gets it from," Heidi jokes, liking how at ease she felt talking to his family. She didn't want things to be awkward, and they weren't. She was incredibly happy with that. "It takes the right person to open a serious person up, and that's exactly what Mrs. Karpelli did for you." Heidi was always a firm believer in love and believed that everyone had one true chance of a happily ever after. "You two make a wonderful couple."

Carla nodded and smiled at Heidi, "Please call me Carla, I hate formalities as much as this one loves laughing." She gestured over to Mark, "And I can say the same about you and our son, he's changed quite a bit ever since he's met you. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out."

"Well I do try," Heidi tells Carla, able to see how happy the older woman was that Heidi was with her son. "I just want what's best for him." And she grinned before looking towards the kitchen and standing up before excusing herself and going into the kitchen, lowering her voice, as she put a hand on the counter. "You can't hide in here forever," she stares at Eros, raising an eyebrow.

"I fucking can and will as long as the roast is cooking." He said under his breath so only Heidi could hear, "My parents and I keep our distance for a good reason, you can probably see why...me and my brothers never get along." He clarified pulling Heidi in for a hug to calm down himself.

Heidi let out a small gasp when he pulled her into him, but she didn't complain. She just let him hug her because he never really allowed people to comfort him. That included Heidi, and it made her happy that for once she could do for him. So she said nothing. "Okay," Heidi told him, putting her head into the crook of his neck, not realizing that the other members of the Karpelli family were watcing them from the living room.

Eros cracked his eyes open and glared at his family, "Do you mind?" he said pointing out of the living room, "Give us five minutes and food will be ready." They left without another word and Eros sighed again, breathing in her relaxing scent. "If only you knew what I had to deal with when I was younger...it was a nightmare."

"Oh Eros," Heidi let a hand run down his back and up again before repeating the motions over and over again. She wanted to comfort him. She hadn't thought that his family were mean at all especially his incredibly sweet mother, but she took a wild guess that he would know much better than her. After all, he had lived with them not her. She pulled away slightly to look into his eyes. "It's okay now."

"Is it?" He said shaking his head, "My brothers were ass hats even in young age. Believe it or not but I was actually the best behaved out of the three of us." Pulling away from her, he got all the dishes out and prepared everything before calling for his family who walked in a few seconds after he did so.

Before Heidi could respond, Eros released her before calling his family into the kitchen after getting a few plates out. It showed her that he was done with conversation, and she wasn't surprised. If Eros didn't want to talk about something then he wouldn't talk about it. Heidi sighed before she waited after everyone else and then made her plate, following everyone into the dining room where she took a seat in between Viktor and Eros.

Eros looked over at Viktor and gave him a warning glare before starting to eat, not waiting for the rest of them to start, he wasn't in the mood to be nice of any sorts especially when they just decide to come with a half an hour warning. They all finished pretty quickly and Eros washed up all the dishes putting them in the dishwasher afterwards.

Heidi could tell that Eros just wanted the rest of his family to leave. That they weren't welcome here. Not now and not ever. He gave them the same look that he gave people in the office. The people that he despised. But no one could truly despise their family right? Heidi knew that she didn't know the answer to that question and said goodbye to everyone before she watched Eros try and escort them out. She opened the back door, deciding to just get some fresh air and think.
