This means no adult females, no adolescent females, and no female cubs can have the applicator applied to them.

Males can breed, stud, etc. Females can breed as well in general.
Unlike Leopons, males do not become sterile, and neither do females. Both genders can still breed and hunt or explore as normal.

Primal mutation can pass onto cubs. Higher chance with males.
It's an inherited mutation. Male cubs have a higher chance of coming out primal than female cubs.

Primal is visible since birth. It looks a bit like a bobbed tail with small bonuses.
No need to use the Falcon to check for primal, you'll be able to see the lil bobbed tail!

Only MALES will pass Primal. Primal Females cannot pass their mutations. Lion Scrotum won't list them even. They will, however, display their Primal looks in form of a passive mutation.

GMO cow/Lion Meat/CRB DOES NOT affect Primals. It is USELESS to use those items on Primals, UNLESS you wish to have another mutation from such breeding.

Do Primal cubs override the leopon mutation if the mother was a leopon?
If by some miracle on the same cub both mutations would trigger, Leopon will override Primal. However, you can have two mutations in 1 litter if you're insanely lucky, both Primal and Leopon.

Does primal override the cubs of Overgrown fur and Piebald lionesses (If they would have got the mothers mutation)?
No, Primal will not override both those mutations.

Do Piebald studs override Leopon passing as well?
No, Leopon would override the piebald.

If Primal overrides leopon ect. does it also override mutation items (ie. foldie from a GMO is replaced with primal)?
I.E, Where does Primal roll now, after the change?

This means that Primal would override any item-mutation on the same cub, however you could get primal AND an item-mut cub in the same litter.
Due to the change, it is confirmed that Primal now rolls last in the order of mutations:

This is the first of the variations for Primal. When breeding a Primal male, he can now pass down normal cubs, Primal cubs OR a rare chance of the Primal (Smilus) or Primal (Felis) cub.
All of the cub stages look the same as regular Primal. However, the adult male has different lineart.

How do I know if I get a smilus cub?
It will show up in the mutation section of the cub as Primal (Smilus), as well as looking like a regular primal cub art.

How can I increase my chance of getting a Smilus cub?
Lucky for you, there is now an item in the Oasis, for 1GB, called the Pennyroyal. When fed to the male Primal, it increases the chance of getting a mutation variation. It works for one breeding only.
As Smilus is male only, using Red Cocks on the litter will also help boost the chances somewhat. As always, using Grains of Paradise or Buffalo Scrotums to increase the litter size will also help boost the chances.

What about breeding a Smilus male? Can he be kinged?
Yes, he can be kinged! As for breeding him, the game sees it as a Primal mutation, so will have all the same chances of breeding primals, normals, and smiluses as a regular primal king. The lineart is purely visual. (Like Leopons, really)

Does the Mutation On Demand: Primal give out Smilus?
No, it doesn't. Smilus is breed only.

Can my females get it?
Nope! This is a purely male-only mutation, unlike Primal. Females cannot get the mutation at all.

Ferus is a variation of Primal, however it cannot be bred from any other Primal variation except for Ferus.

How do I know if I get a ferus cub?

How can I get a Ferus cub?
Lucky for you, there is an item that can be found in March only, called the Mukombero. When fed to an adult (between 2 and 14 years old), unmutated lioness, it guarantees one Ferus cub in her next litter. It works for one breeding only. Once she has been given the item, she can only be bred during LD's night hours while the item is active. The Mukombero can be found in Explore once Tier 2 of the event is unlocked, and will cease to be findable once March ends until next year.
Without using the item, only Primal (Ferus) lions - male and female - have the chance to pass on the mutation.
Felis is a universal mutation, so using Red Cocks or Great Tits only increase the chance if you want a male or female one specifically. As always, using Grains of Paradise or Buffalo Scrotums to increase the litter size will also help boost the chances.

How does the Mukombero work?
The Mukombero guarantees ONLY one Ferus cub in the lioness's litter. It is last in the roll order, and will overwrite one of the cubs no matter what other items have been used (including GMOos).

What about breeding a Ferus male? Can he be kinged?
Yes, he can be kinged! As for breeding him, the game sees it as a Primal mutation, so will have all the same chances of breeding primals, normals, felises, smiluses as a regular primal king, although only ferus lions can produce ferus cubs. The lineart is purely visual.
If you have a Ferus king, then any battles with primates (apes, humans etc) will have an extra damage boost

Does the Pennyroyal item work on Primal (Ferus)?
Yes! Additionally, if the stud is given a pennyroyal, and the lioness is also a Ferus, the chance for a cub being Ferus-born will be higher. Both parents must be Ferus for this boost to occur.
