Kelsie stood in front of the mirror, looking at her reflection as she tried to figure out what to wear. She considered a short dress but what if it was too formal? It's not like it was a date was it? Nate knew that she had a thing with another guy although it wasn't official...maybe this movie is just two friends hanging out. She sighed and walked over to her closet, pulling out one of her fancier shirts and black tight pants. Kelsie wasn't one for heavy makeup so mascara did it for her, she grabbed her purse before walking to the front and waiting, Nate said he would drive her to the movies.

Nate threw on some blue jeans and a nice, plaid shirt before looking at himself in the mirror. He fixed his hair before running a hand through it, wanting to give it a tousled and natural look. Then he threw on some dress shoes so that it looked like he had tried but not too hard. And that was the impression that Nate wanted to give Kelsie, his best friend. The girl that he'd had a crush on since ever, yet he had never told her that in fear that it would ruin their friendship, so he always kept his feelings to himself. He got out his phone. You ready to go? He texted her before looking in the mirror once more.

Kelsie was about to turn the TV on when she felt her phone vibrate in her hand, Yep, just waiting for you slowpoke, she joked. It was something she called him a lot and eventually it became a much used nickname by her. She considered waiting outside but wasn't sure how long he would take to get here so she had ended up pacing back and forth in front of the door. This time had seemed different when he asked her, they hung out a lot but he seemed a bit...off when asking her, she didn't have the right word to place.

Nate got his phone out of his back pocket when he heard it vibrate before he smiled at his message. Slowpoke had been something that she had just began calling him, and he never complained. He didn't care. Though it's not like he would've complained if he did. He got his car keys off the counter before leaving his apartment, making sure to close and lock the door behind him, something he'd always been taught to do. Afterwards, he walked to the Silver Chevrolet truck he had before unlocking the door and getting into the truck. He got his phone out. On my way. He texted her before driving to her house, knocking on her door when he arrived.

Kelsie looked at her phone and smiled at the message, she only waited for another seven minutes or so before she heard a knock on the door. Opening she looked at Nate, dressed formally informal, "You look nice tonight." She said smiling before closing the door and locking it behind her. "So what movie were you thinking of watching?"

"Formally informal," Nate repeats, grinning, as he shook his head at his best friend. She could always say the wierdest words and make them make sense. "I like it," he tells her before opening the door for her so she could get into his truck. "You look pretty nice too." He closed her door before getting in the truck himself. "And I want to see Snowden. I mean all the stuff he did, I wish I had the mind like him. But all I know about is quadratics theories."

"Thanks." She smiled and put her seat belt on after she got in, "Interesting choice, I haven't seen trailers before but it sounds interesting already." She wanted to tease him and call him a complete nerd but Nate wouldn't be Nate if he wasn't as smart as he is. "We rarely go to movies together, I'm not sure why but why the change of heart?"

"Well with me at work twenty four seven at SunLabs, I feel like I haven't seen you as much," Nate states, shrugging his shoulders, as he parked the car in the parking lot. He did feel like he hadn't seen her in ages because of his new job as an intern in one of the best labs in the country. He didn't have to say that he was excited. "Plus we used to have movie nights every Saturday. Why not bring it back?"
