I would like to point out there is a special lioness who shows that she has zero cubs- you've probably seen her- but that isn't quite right. She bred the girl, insta-birthed her, and sold the only cub in the litter. The buyer kinged it and stat-replaced, changing it's heritage. Unless someone acutally visited the winner's profile the night she was won, they wouldn't see know that it would appear that she must have chased/killed/nature resered it.

And a winner does have a right to sell the lioness or her cubs. They can do whatever they want- she's their lion. You should not fault a winner for selling the lioness or her cubs- the buyer might be desperate to breed those markings and get them circulating. Sometimes a non-wealthy player wins and needs the GB for pride expansion/king's retirement/king's stat-replacer/customization and can't afford to buy GB with real money. Selling valuable lions would be their only source of income on this site- especially if their king isn't remarkable enough to get many stud requests.

Like they won the lion for 50sb but turn around and sell it for like 50GB...not mad bout that...yeah i dont think they price them that high. its just an example.
and im not shaming them for it? Im just saying using the lion as fodder especially, kinda makes it even more unfair.
like they just took a REALLY nice lion they got for fairly cheap and turn around and use it as karma fodder? Thats not really a good thing if someone else really wanted the markings on it and wouldve used it as a way to make sb/gb and get nice cubs with good stats out there.

I've heard of them selling for 300GB. If the girl has a lot of rare marks, then someone somewhere on LioDen's going to be willing to pay that. I paid 50GB for a cub with half of the mother's marks. If the seller had wanted more, I would have scrounged up some more beetles. I wasn't going to expect the winner to massively undersell, and I didn't want to cheat them.

I wasn't saying YOU were shaming them. I'm saying if their names got out, SOME people probably would shame them. Some people lose and move on with their lives or post well-intentioned suggestions. Others resort to resentment and bullying. Commenting on a suggestion thread isn't a problem, but less responsible, less kind players might decide a suggestion won't fix anything and decide to send a rude message to the winner instead.

I don't know who in the game would use a Special Lioness as fodder. Even if they don't particularly like the girl, there's too much to be gained. If they don't like her, they can sell her and make a profit. If they're using her as fodder they're only hurting themselves. Eventually another Special Lioness will appear with those marks.

Why kill a girl when someone wants to buy her? Bad decision making. "Hmm...do I want -10 karma or 50+GB. Hm...karma!"

Again, I'm not trying to suggest that anyone here, posting on this thread, would shame a winner. But there are people who would. Not everyone is nice or able to deal with disappointment in a healthy manner.

I am leaving this discussion for night as it's getting late. I realize the three of us are not going to reach an understanding. I do get where you and Cosandk are coming from, and I sincerely hope that even though the two of you do not agree with me that you at least see where I'm coming from.

I am also glad that we could talk about this in a mature manner with respect. We may not agree, but at least we can debate instead of attack.

oh heeeeelllll no. i wouldnt ever do that. Im not that low of a person to shame someone for a pixel lioness.
But it is nice to get a special girl once in awhile (hell, if i got ONE special, id be the happiest person alive. I have a rosette and thats it. i want no more til shes gone or she gives birth to some. i have a special base, tho i dont like it much. I was gonna sell her but her base doesnt go for much >.> and she gives nice cubbins so i may as well keep her. She brings a pinkish color to my pride. and no, shes not a cinnabar. that is WAAAY too bright for me. )

I think it would be fair to have a cool down, it would allow other people more of a chance at winning.
It does get frustrating seeing people win more than once so close in time, Though maybe 2 weeks cooldown, because as Empress said they would also be paying for the chance to win, and if they're lucky then they're just lucky.
