I prefer avoiding the applicators for that month merely because of the other items available. The breeding items I listed have a constant demand (with a possible exception being lion scrotums) that can net you at least 15-20Gb+ per, and they are all cheaper than even a maroon four applicator. More bang for your buck so to speak. (Ex; The cheapest Cherry lips rn is about 80Gb on branches. It cost 300HS in 2017. With 300HS you can buy 5 Buff scrotums at 60HS each. If you sell them for about 20Gb each that's 100Gb. 20Gb more than if you managed to sell a CL for 80Gb.

As for cherry lips declining, since it will have spent a year in rotation it's HS cost will go down in 2018's event, and probably it's value with it (more in cycle for less event currency).

In my personal opinion I don't recommend you waste LB on drones or lion meat. Their sell value vs LB price is lesser when compared to the MOD. Later in the year the MOD can sell for up to 4x+ that of the lion meat, while only costing 101 more LB (and the MOD is LB only, while Lion meat can be obtained with SB and drones have many other events). If you want to resell Lion meat later for profit I would just buy it with the SB option in the carrion shop.

This is mostly based on how to make money off the event itself (ie: Event currency). Yohimbe barks are already listed, although most of these items work best if you wait and sell them when the price goes back up (Item price during event is dirt low). Pon pass rates are so low I personally don't even recommend you bother with them unless you're an establish and dedicated pon breeder. Better to sell your items for money than waste them on a slim chance (Especially because most pons seem to be second gen or later).
