Hmm, how does one go about breeding for a sunset?? Trying to get my den with some pretty ladies and did a few minutes of research, but still ongoing..looks like anjeer, ginger, auburn, onyx will breed a sunset. See alot of red med countershaded specials in the genetics. All of tbe atuds i saw were sunsets. Would a henna base possibly give a sunset? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Sunset requires at least one parent to have sunset base to pass, and it will help if the other is in the same gene group (red medium countershaded special) - then there will be fewer possible outcomes from other gene groups. Ideally, two sunset lions should give the biggest chance for the cub to also be sunset, but it's not a guarantee. You might end up with a cub in the red medium countershaded common group, because all specials have a lower rate of passing than commons. I'm also not sure, but I think medium group has a small chance of passing an either dark or light group base, so that's fun. :') tl;dr: at least one parent needs to be sunset; the other should be in the same genetical group.
