Their face begins to turn red and hot on the cheeks, not the fur but you can see the skin. He'd be also laying down and not moving from the heat

He also doesn't have much fur rn since he's technically still a Newborn. So it's really easy to see the red skin

Well I mean, there could always be redness around those patches on a cats face that seem to have less fur, near the inner ears, eyebrows, above the nose, ect

Kits are born fluffy o-o lol but that makes sense.. the parts with the less fur makes total sense XD

Eh, I have a really fluffy manx cat and hes solid black, but the fur around those spots is a little less dense so you can see the pigment of his skin, but that's just my cat
