As far as I know, threads don't ping you when it's bumped - and I imagine this suggestion would work in the way that threads do. It only gives you notifications when there's something new posted. But thanks for bringing that up, I'll clarify it in the main post :)

Also...maybe when someone posts a forum there should be a drop-down list for perhaps each of these in depth of every object, mutie etc in game.
Decor, mutations, other etc...list goes on.
You can click multiple of this (up to 5 for a single forum?)

As for others, we have this same like subscription page where you can subscribe to as many as we wish as well as unsubscribe. In a way, similar to trade but in categories, but you can also just subscribe to a thread if you dont want to miss anything, eg:
Decor *tick box* then, a drop-down list of all the decor in game.
Mutations *tick box* then, a drop-down list of all the lioden mutations.
Art *tick box* then a drop-down list of different styles of art.
Etc.

As for the notifications, it should be in-game and should say something like this, "Recommend Forum that matches your subscription *link*" But, if the link is too hard, maybe it doesn't have to be there?

The only concern with this is that the people who post the forum might click unrelivent topics to just gain attention/fame-called a scam. This can be dealt with if people report these people to help mods deal with consequences such as warning for this, and if someone repeats this action they'll get banned. So, this shouldn't be anything to worry about :)

I'm not sure what you mean by subscribing to things like decor and mutations, Jemma - perhaps you could clarify? And people who post irrelevant things to the forum are often reported and dealt with immediately, so that shouldn't be an issue, any more than someone spamming a thread that you're subscribed to is.

Oh, sorry Euradym if i wasnt clear enough, I meant subscribing to keywords-similar to how we can choose in sales for lions eg. eye colour (though not too precise like this for forum subscription) but for lions you could subscribe to mutations (maybe a tickbox) and then there could be a drop-down list of specific ones. Leopon for example perhaps. You can select how many you want if your looking things to subscribe to-but if you're posting a new forum you can select up to 20 maybe? (Maybe less)

There could be a few things to subscribe to briefly, for example: Items with a box you can tick (exactly like the mutations one i mentioned above) and with a list of all came items in a drop-down list for users to select more exact forums to subscribe to. And so on...

Then after you subscibe to what you want, there could be a save button near the bottom of that page in bold (so users remember to save)

Support. A good idea that I'd love to see implemented. A good idea is to maybe set it so that you get notified if a post with a keyword in its title is created,.. although let's not kill Abbey.

That's an interesting idea, Frozen! Perhaps it could be am option on the forums search page - a button that asks if you'd like to subscribe to that keyword or perhaps bookmark that search term for you so it's easily accessible again.
