I have a question about the comment above ^^

why is it that we cannot keep our designs/art if we don't win? If we don't win, we wouldn't want our designs to just sit and rot forever. I'm working on my entry now and I'm becoming attached to it. If I don't win I won't get to keep my own entry?

I'll make them into OCs? I'm just saying that all art will be made into OCs, even if you don't win a prize. Besides, everyone who participates gets free studding, right? I really don't understand why so many people are so ticked about this rule, the art is not going to rot. :'(

Oh I didn't mean to assume it would rot! But the original designs that we have created, well, we'd like them to go to good owners, and not to just be revamped. I understand that everyone gets a prize in the end, but it is a little bit discouraging to me and to other people to know that we won't be able to keep our designs if we don't win the dwarf.

I don't remember reading that when I posted my first entry. Thats why I refuse to enter anymore, because for OC comps I don't win etc I end up selling the design on a bidding forum.

The first entry will still be a entry but I am canceling my other designs

They will not be revamped. I'm sorry if it sounded like that, I'm not good at explaining. Every character I get will be what they are, and will get lots more art, just think of it as an OC collecting contest. The dwarf is worth alot and if I only get to keep 3 entrees..... well I would be sad. I really liked that dwarfy. ;-;
Just please understand. But the rules are set and I totally understand if anyone wants to resign. :)

Well if the rules are set, I am going to be resigning. The reason is I think it is unfair that even if we don't win a prize (I'm not counting the studding, since it really isn't much), then we don't get to keep our character. An OC is something that takes an awfully long time to make, especially in order to get the dwarf. A good quality OC is worth a dwarf, and maybe more than that. Artists like me are very hesitant to enter contests that, to where a virtual currency isn't really worth real USD (or whatever currency a country uses). What if I get very attached to the design I make for you, but I don't get anything in return? It hurts, and I'm sure it can hurt other people too who liked their entries but didn't win and didn't get to keep them. You keeping 3 of the designs, is definitely worth it since it's the ones you like most.

If you were going to do a contest like this, and you didn't really want to give up the dwarf, then maybe you should have offered a different prize, or didn't do this contest at all.
