The fabulous Dawn eyes, unlike Starshine and Sunglow, can pass multitude of eye colors to their offspring: Dawn, Starshine, Sunglow, Sapphire, Blue, Pink and Yellow, which is awesome. But the new update, with the release of sectoral eyes, got me thinking. What if Dawn was a sectoral eye color of sorts, obtained by breeding Starshine and Sunglow together? It'd need to be a very low pass rate, I think, but it would surely add some excitement to the other two Celestial eye colors that currently can only pass their own. Regarding Starshine and Sunglow, they could remain as they are and pass only their own color, or be given additional fails in exchange for the chance of breeding Dawn. Starshine could have Blue, Crimson and Pink as possible outcomes, and Sunglow could have Amber and Yellow - maybe even one of the "yellow" special custom eyes once they're released -, based on their own color combination. What do you think? Another eye-related suggestion worth taking a look into |

Support, and I think there needs to be fail colors for sunglow and starshine. :P Like example, sunglow fail colors, white, yellow, peach? 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 16/07/17 @ 13:56:08 by Ivy (Side) (#2511) |

@Ivy Hmm. It would make sense if Starshine failed into Blue and Crimson, and Sunglow failed into Amber and Yellow. I that these two eyes not failing is either because there were not fails when they were introduced to the game... or maybe it was what made them special, always passing down...? Either way, with Dawn having so many possible outcomes it'd be only logical the other two had their own too, if this was ever accepted. Edit: Dawn only passes Starshine and Sunglow as special outcomes, the rest are common eye colors, which is why I suggested the ones above. 0 players like this post! Like? I personally would be upset if Sunglow and Starshine started having fail colors. I didn't like the addition of fails for dawn but it's easy to accept given that it's a new color. However I have a king with starshine and an heir with Sunglow and it's specifically because of the fact that they only pass their eyes so I get fewer common colors on my cubs. That said, I think the idea for a very low chance of dawn between Sunglow and starshine is super interesting and awesome. I just can't personally support if it means giving Sunglow and starshine common fails. 0 players like this post! Like? |

@cin I understand completely, I'm sure I'd be upset too in the future if my own male's cubs start having more of those common eyes than Sunglow, but I think Ivy is right and that it'd make sense for them to start having their own fails if the Sunglow x Starshine had a chance of producing Dawn eyes too. A karmic trade of sorts, you get what you give? But thank yo for your input all the same :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support the idea of Dawn working as a sectoral, don't support Sunglow and Starshine having fails. I kinda see sunglow and starshine as "base" eye colors, like amber and green and blue-- except they're the base colors OF the celestial event. Meaning Dawn and future eye colors could have them as fails :) 0 players like this post! Like? |

@Icey That... makes sense, too. I can add it to the main post, let the admins choose if this was ever a thing? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Personally, it makes more sense to me the idea of Dawn x Starshine = Sunglow, since Tefnut (Dawn) x Apedemak (Starshine) = Menhit (Sunglow), but I do like this a lot. 0 players like this post! Like? |
