Storm Tamer's eyes widened as he gazed at the snake. He then smile gently, "I do! I have a little caracal here," He flicked his tail to a melanistic caracal grooming itself nearby, "I never really got a name for him, but I will have to come up with one now. Maybe Smoky Sky..? Or Ashy Paws?" Before his mind wandered off, he turned to the next ruler and asked,

"Do you have any inspirations for naming your pridemates? If so, what is your inspiration?"

Venus hummed in thought. "It depends... sometimes we're named after traits, or feelings, sometimes we're named after gods of other worlds or shapes in the stars. Some pride members even have a family name, such as the family of Imara, or the Duva family."

The lioness flicked her tail. "What's your favorite type of decor to use?"

Talui grins at the lioness, "I quite enjoy crowns or necklaces" he rumbles, "I also love any nature ones" he admits, laying on the ground. His big muscular body landing with a soft thud.

Talui looks to the next ruler, "Have you an heir already? Or have you at least a plan for an heir?" he winks, "If not, i can certainly help"

Venus chuckled. "Thank you for your offer," She paused, looking slightly away, "but I've only just barely been queen. Hasn't even been a year for me- in fact, not even six moons." The queen smiled confidently. She knew what she was doing, despite only ruling for a small amount of time. At least, that's how she came across.

"How many rulers has your pride had since it's birth?" She asked, attempting to count on her paws how many her adoptive father, Tyrion, said their pride had since it's beginning all those many years ago.

Fuchsia replies without hesitation. "only one lion, Canibid founded the pride and let me and my sister join when we were just adolescents. We soon gained respect and we have been entrusted with helping rule the pride." she is about to make another comment when her larger sister interjects. "It is true that we both have our part in ruling the Star River pride, i would say i take more of the responsibility of ruler, while my sister here runs her shop and helps with the cubs, mostly." Aloe says, she is a bit larger than her sister, a set of claws and flowers make a crown set between her ears, she is covered in scars with a few more claw related decorations along her body.

"anyway." Fuchsia says, shoving her sister away with gentle nudge. "Do you have a plan for the future of your pride? We plan to try to make our territory thrive as much as we can, currently we are working with a clan of spotted hyenas to make the migration routes for the herds a bit safer, that way we can have plenty of food in the future."

The New Age grins, shaking his mane and looking around. "Of course I've got a plan for my future pride! What sort of king doesn't? Only under my leadership will we prosper, of course. Not like that dusty old lion that came before me. We will keep our bloodlines clean, of course. It's a lot easier that way, to keep track of who's who in the pride. Not only that, I'd like to create some more... how shall I put this, attractive looking lionesses as well," Age says, looking over to where a couple of his lionesses are glaring at him. "As attractive as I am, of course. These cubs, they can't just look like any old lion. They have to be great," he says, raising his eyebrows and fluffing his mane a bit more. "I suppose I could go on, but all of my plans are so well thought out that it would take ages to explain them all," he finishes. A couple of his lionesses scoff, rolling their eyes. The New Age glances back at them, baring his teeth.

"Anyways, what monthly event do you enjoy the most? I can't particularly say which month I enjoy most, since I haven't been king for more than two months. Though, our old king used to enjoy the June event a lot. I think he particularly liked that lioness creature... Bast," he says, laying down and flicking his tail back and forth.

The hyena sisters can't help but snicker at the previous king, unusually, Aloe is the first to speak. "Well, i would say me and my sister are in agreement that the april event is best, wenet the wise is an interesting lioness, and rabbits have always been delicious. Besides, the flower that gave my sister her name grows during that event, so i'm kinda biased."
Fuchsia's snake, Rhino, slithers forward and flicks his tongue in and out, smelling the previous king's lionesses before Fuchsia swiftly pulls him back with a paw back into her shoulders.

"what are your thoughts on the hyena clans that wander the territories?" Fuchsia asks simply. "i am quite fond of them, but i might be biased since i am a hyena myself, i'm talking about the spotted hyenas, i'm a brown hyena." She scratches the chin of rhino the snake as he snacks on a gerbil.

Altair's ears perk up, and he smiles brightly. "Hyena clans?" he says softly, considering it for a second. "I think they're alright. A few of them have given me trouble while I explore the territory, but for the most part they're alright. I mean, before I became king, my father- well not my actual father, but the old king, Tikaani, he knew this one hyena and- oh sorry I got sidetracked," Altair says, leaning back and scratching his ear. He stands up, stretching, and looks up at the next leader.

"What do you like in lions? What sort of markings, bases, or whatever. I've always quite liked dark blues and greys. I'm not sure why. Maybe they just remind me of the rain? I've always liked the rain, and the rainy season. That otter that sells us stuff is so nice-" he says, stretching out onto the ground and continuing to babble on about the rainy season.

Talui chuckkes and stretches, his claws digging light at the dirt. "I've got to say... Sunset bases, Sunset markings, just.... sunset. It's so beautiful and elegant" he purrs, his left ear twitches in mild embarrassment. "Er, but i quite like blue markings as well, or galaxy-looking ones"

The ferus looks to the other lions, "For this event, are you leaning towards good or bad?" he drags his tongue along his paw before looking up, "Personally, I'm a good boy"

Mduduzi didnt hesitate. "i'm leaning more towards evil this month, those humans have no right to be on my land so i kill them. and since we are all hungry, i take any chance i can get for food, if that means killing humans, killing a thirsty wildebeest, doesnt matter." he growled.

He turned to the next king and dragged his long claws in the dusty earth. "What are you doing with the humans this month? killing them? ignoring them? helping them?" He shook the dust from his mane. "as i said before, i'm killing any human i see like the little pests they are."

Nakhtpaaten growled something and turned his head to look at the previous king.
"I don't care much about the humans unless they wish to harm my servants. Certainly I will not let that happen.
They provide a good source of food and taste nice themselves although I wouldn't kill a human cub. I'm not merciless well..at least I'm not completely merciless."

He smiled and huffed at some butterflies passing by.

"How do you deal with this month's drought? Prey is hard to found and water seems disappearing. Gods must be displeased with our actions."

Fuchsia gives rhino the snake another gerbil before answering. "Well, we have been collecting thirst restoring items for months, i figured it was best to be prepared since i heard other kings talking about last year's drought. As far the gods part, i have a theory that apollyon, the fire lord from last month, might be responsible for the fires and the drought." She flicks her ears. "though it might be a bit of a stretch, but i never trusted him, he always seemed off "

Turning to the next ruler, she asks without hesitation. "What do you do with the cubs or pride members you no longer want? We either send them to good friends, the nature preserve for pride members, and the giving tree for cubs."

The young queen gracefully stood up from her spot and gave the other lions her most fierce look.
"I know I seem like the cruelest beast in the entire world but fear not! I'm actually quite merciful to my pride members." She spoke in a very theatrical, exaggerated manner, wildly flicking her tail. "I send them to the nature preserve! I hope they have a good life there..." She trailed off a bit. She wasn't evil at all, in fact she was the opposite of that. But being good was just so boring! And the bad kings always get more respect, right?
Realizing her mistake, she quickly added "Yeah, I hope they're happy! I could've kill them, you know! I'm really evil!"
The little lioness sat on the ground, beaming with pride. Her performance was amazing! Ha! Now they all know how scary and intimidating she is!

"The maneaters will come here soon! It's so exciting!" She grinned at the next lion. "Their manes are so cool! Which one's your favorite? Mine is tsavo!"

Venus almost smirked, "I don't have much of an opinion on manes, as I don't have one myself... but I suppose my favorite would be my father's. They call his mane style 'diabolic'." She commented. She was hardly the nostalgic type, but she could remember snuggling into Tyrion's mane on stressful nights, and her expression fell until she heard Tyrion's well-timed roar far in the distance, likely warning some adolescents away from his hoard. "Oh, as for the maneaters, I'm not too interested in them, but to each their own." She hummed, licking her paw gracefully.

"As for my question, aside from the blazing heat, is your pride going through any other trials or stresses at the moment?" She asked casually, though secretly hoping a king would have a tale to tell so she wouldn't be alone in her anxiety.

The New Age stands up and stretches, smiling. "Of course the Diabolic mane is the best," he agrees, fluffing his. The fact that his mane was also Diabolic was irrelevant, of course. As he listens to the lioness's question, Age scoffs. "Us? Of course not. Our pride is strong as ever," he laughs. "In fact-" he starts to continue, but his submale Boo calls for him. Boo looks at his king flatly, sighing.
"There's a problem near one of the borders. You should go check it out, I think they might be trying to steal from the hoard," Boo says. Age jumps to his feet and growls, muttering and rushing off. Boo watches him go, dipping his head to the lioness.
"My apologies. Our king is good, but he can be a bit... arrogant," he sighs. Sitting down, he swishes his tail before continuing. "In fact, we are facing a bit of a problem. We're almost scraping by on food rations. Everyone's fed for now, but our lionesses are usually only bringing back small things from hunts. And of course, this heat isn't making anything any easier. I've been patrolling for the king, and sometimes I can find something, but it seems like everyone is having trouble right now."

"Anyways," Boo sighs, seeing the King starting to return. "Enough about us. When you go to the Giving Tree, do you find yourself usually keeping the cub or not? I've found that more often than not, there's some really pretty cubs from the tree. I like a lot of them actually," Boo says, watching as The New Age returns to the den.
