The New Age shakes his main, slowly licking his paw and drawing it over his ear as he considers his answer. Eventually he sets his paws on the ground and looks back at the king who asked him, holding his gaze and laughing.
"Interesting question. But if I were a god, I'm sure that everyone would believe in me. I'd be the best, after all," Age grins, fluffing his mane a little.
"But if there were non-believers, I think I have something in mind. I suppose I'd make them believe by making them see that they've made the wrong choices. I might manipulate a couple things so that the foolish non-believers meet their end a little sooner than expected. And it is when they are facing death, that I will appear to them. I will tell them that they should have made some better choices. And then? I leave them to their fate. And their hopeless prayers to whatever god they believe in, whether it be me or someone else, will go unheard."

Stretching out a little, Age opens his jaws to show off his teeth as he yawns. Looking at the next ruler, he flicks his tail. "Let's see... when confronted, do you usually try to take the peaceful route or the violent one? And why?" he asks, flexing his claws. Age knew that violence was one of the easiest ways to deal with trouble; no nettlesome talking or foolish negotiating.

The light heiress considered this question, propping her mottled chin on her paws, tail flicking slowly by a side. Her huff would sweep from her jaw as she finally glanced to the king that had asked the question. "It depends. I'm willing to negotiate with a fellow lion if they can't defend themselves; if they're pompous, trying to control me or hostile, then of course I'll fight them. Whatever path guarantees the safety of my pride, I'll take."

"And you," she continued, turning to the next ruler. "If your pride was in grave danger, what would you do? Defend them?" The hint of a smirk whisked across her features. "Or abandon them?"

Venus scoffed. "It is my duty to defend them until my dying breath. Me and our strongest members will fight- we will not die as cowards."

Venus looked thoughtful, before asking, "When you die- or, *if* you were to die, where would you wish your resting place to be?"

"And.. may I ask... How do cubs grow? Are they entities such as myself?"

Cerxes laughs- actually laughs, his chest shaking. "Dieties indeed. No, they are devils, my friend. They grow as they are born-with violence and bloodshed."
He closes off his features, erasing the humour.

"Hierarchy establishes dominance in your pride, king. Who eats first among your people?"

"Only the foolish and unwary would eat or drink before their subordinate checks everything for poison, or worse," Abhoth snorts, "If I required... conventional food, I would eat as soon as my subordinate tasted everything. As it stands though, once I have had the offering that my priestess has prepared, my subordinate makes sure that the conventional food has been poisoned. If everything has been found sufficient, my priestesses and huntresses eat, then the rest of my servants-- and finally, those vermin that most call cubs." It might have made for strange dining arrangements especially when there were meetings between neighboring kingdoms or territories, but that hardly mattered.

"Alright, you, then," He turned his attention to the next monarch: "There is a massive fire blazing in your territory and everyone, save for two people, have already escaped. Would you risk your own existance to rescue the elderly and deaf, but well-versed lioness who tutors your brats? The impetuous, smart-mouthed, but brave cub who shows signs of being a great warrior, or no one at all? And what is the reason behind your decision?"

“I’d... welll.... I’d save the elder. Her soul would be put to god use teaching to young, while that warlike cub would have only been sold.” He looked a bit guilty, as if maybe the warlike cub wouldn’t have been sold.

Cerxes snarled in rage. "If someone came to steal my wives they would not see the next sun in this world."
he looks at the next king.

"if you had an heir, would you prize them for their strength, their morality, or their beauty?"

"Why not all three?" Altair purrs with a smile, flicking his tail back and forth before shrugging. "Though, I think strength and status matters most. Then looks, and last of all morality," Altair says.
"Though our old king, Tikaani, he valued looks the most. That's why I'm king and not Teddy," he continues, gesturing to where the other male is lounging. Teddy looks over and laughs, shaking his head before resting it on his paws.

"Anyways," Altair says, stretching out and looking at the next king,"Is there a particular scheme with which you name your lionesses and cubs? Or do you just go with whatever fits them?"

Amsu who'd been grooming his paw, stopped what he was doing to answer.

"Aside from Aadipta- which is Hindu," The old lion said, "most of my lions have Egyptian names or sometimes Greek. Considering that Ancient Egypt and Greece have a unique history together, I believe that it is fitting. I do try to give my lions names that suit their personalities and appearances, though sometimes I will pick a name simply because I enjoy the sound of it." his tail beating the ground softly as he spoke.

"Does your pride have any neighboring prides? Known allies or enemies? We ourselves are quite secluded and don't have any other prides near our own territory."

Cerxes tilts his head to the side. "My brother used to have a pride next to mine, but my son now rules it. He is a weak willed pushover, so feel free to attack him."

Abhoth shook his head and snorted. Siblings? Mother? Did these guys really concern themselves about such things, especially here and now? It didn't make sense to the unliving creature and he could barely recall his family any longer, as it was- they had been dead so long that he had simply lost track of the aeons. "I... think my siblings and I were always trying to come up with new and fun ways to try and kill each other. I hardly remember now, but I believe I was probably nothing but holy hell for my mother to deal with; I do believe there was a lot of back-talk and rebellion." A dry, rattling sound that might or might not have been laughter punctuated those words.

He turned to stare at the next ruler, head tilted at a strange angle that nevertheless managed to convey at least a small amount of amusement. "Here's something for you to think about. You have discovered that a young and beautiful spy has infiltrated your territory and has been relaying your secrets back to her own monarch, while pretending that she serves you. How would you deal with her and what is your reasoning behind your actions?"

"I would give her a chance-just one, mind you, to switch sides and work for me." Cerxes gives a humourless chuckle. "If she turned it down, she'd be killed for defying me."
