General Roleplay RulesPlayers are free to roleplay to their heart's content here, but before doing so, we ask that you please keep the following in mind before you roleplay with other players or come up with characters. 1. Roleplay Content
For All Roleplay Character ImagesYou must link to the original source of an image - this would be the place that the image was originally posted on by its creator/photographer. You CAN: * Use free-to-use lineart, as long as the artist allows use of them. * Use doll creators, as long as the artist allows use of them. * Use art that you have created with your own hands. * Use art that you have commissioned specifically for yourself. * Use a gif from a movie if you link back to the movie's IMDb page. You CANNOT: * Source to an image "collection" website, such as Pinterest. Unless the original photographer has posted it there specifically, this is not the original source of the photo; it has been reposted. * Save the image and re-upload it yourself to Imgur, Tinypic, or similar websites. * Source an image where its copyright clearly states "All Rights Reserved". * Post "all rights belong to the author/creator/owner, not me", or any variation of this. This is not a sufficient way to source an image. * Use art that does not belong to you, unless the copyrights allow it, and are clearly visible to our site moderators where the art is sourced. If you're unsure of how copyrights work, please use our Official Roleplay Image Copyright Guide for help on finding images you're allowed to use! 2 players like this post! Like? Hey! I apologize if for some reason we are no longer supposed to post here or anything of the sort. I was just confused on one of the rules; the discord one in particular. I'm someone who is really only a 1x1 person and either does roleplays on discord just through direct messages or through making a server that just has me and my roleplay partner with certain channels for discussions, the roleplay, etc. If I'm just searching for individual partners like this, does this search need to go in that specific forum section or can it go into the Role Play Chat Box? I've seen a lot of discord 1x1 request in there but I'm still very confused about how the discord rule works. I'm very sorry if I have somehow managed to completely look over something. ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

Madame Rose: Hello! It's okay to ask here - you can also ask through the Modbox for future reference. :) You can simply put an advertisement for this kind of Roleplays in the Roleplay Chat and say something like "PM me for Discord link" to avoid linking directly to Discord Servers in the chat. Hope this helps! 0 players like this post! Like? |

Question: With NSFW roleplays that are offsite, can you discuss things that are 18+ once you know all people involved are 18 or over and consent to having an NSFW roleplay? Also, with onsite roleplays, are you allowed to have it go as far as cuddling, make out sessions, etc. as long as it doesn't go into detail about the actual graphic content? 0 players like this post! RouxTheTarot: NSFW/18+ mature Roleplays cannot be advertised through Lioden whatsoever, as we are a 16+ site. Also yes - it is okay to "Fade-to-Black" etc. without sharing any details, being graphic etc. Applicable rules for reference, taken from the thread post above: "Attempting to get around the previous rule by searching for players willing to roleplay anything NSFW, adult, or 18+ off-site is not allowed." "Mating and sex-themed roleplays are not allowed. If you wish for mating/sex to occur, it's fine to mention it vaguely that it happened, or mention a "fade-to-black" screen occurred in order to skip any sexual descriptions." 0 players like this post! Would it be allowed to make a roleplay that is like, what happens after a storyline ends? Like, say, 2000 years after, what it's like in the celestial kingdom. I wouldn't use the characters from the storyline, but ones of my own creation. Would that be allowed? This is the roleplay I created. Is it acceptable? https://www.lioden.com/topic.php?id=304429367759 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hello! I'm really new to this game, and am trying to get into roleplaying in it. I'm sorry if someone already asked this, but are fandom roleplays allowed? As long as you don't use specific characters from the book/TV series and only rp with your OCs in the setting of that world? 0 players like this post! Like? |

[Moderator Edit] I was told that the only way that you can actually post a picture in a thread is that by linking the original image from an online site you uploaded your artwork onto such as Tinypic or Deviantart which I didn’t since I don't use these, and instead linked a Google document which contained the photo. I wasn't aware that the definitions changed since last time I shared a photo this way without an issue,I just came back from a month long break and didn't consider that it has changed, which I guess I only really have to blame myself for not checking the rules again, but I am now a bit puzzled how this really works from now on,and not only just sharing of photoes. Does this mean that you can't advertise off-site roleplay at all anymore? How can I post a picture by not linking it? How did I try to bypass the rule even,I didn't even link the whole character sheet but only a picture that I drew,it isn't clear to me in the rules that Google docs containing pictures weren't allowed. My assumptions would be that it happened because the moderator team can't keep tracks of people using photos in their character sheets,or maybe because the link was unclickable? Hey guys, if you have questions regarding something specific related to our rules, we'd like to urge you to contact the Modbox with your question. In this way, you can provide more details about your question to us, in a private space, where no rules regarding player punishments can be broken! :) Thank you for understanding. <3 0 players like this post!
