After I've gotten deep into the roleplay, my next character will most likely be adopted ![]() |

Hmm anyone in Blackback Guard have a character who could potentially be my Youngblood Ivar's mentor? He's been conditioned into a cruel killer and is rather withdrawn from the rest of the world, ordered to be groomed this way by Ragnar himself, and I think it would be interesting to see a relationship between himself and the dog who moulded him into this way- whether that dog initially actually wanted to, or was just forced into following the Jarl's orders and doesn't necessarily agree with such harsh training, would ultimately be up to you. ![]() |

Valen is always up to the task, since he grew up a strong Beserker. Only recently has he begun to question his lifestyle so it would be an interesting dynamic between the two because Valen grew up pretty much just like Ivar is now, ruthless and vicious, and is now starting to detest the anger he always turns to on instinct. Just let me know if you like him and I'll add Ivar to his relationships! EDIT : Actually, I reread through Valen's bio and it would make sense about his recent shift in thoughts about their pack/lifestyle if he was the one who trained the Youngblood, especially with Ivar being Ragnar's experiment. Valen admired their leader immensely, and I could add how it all changed because he started molding this young dog for Ragnar, now that he could see almost an entirely different side of him. Because I feel at Valen's age, (with his personality) he'd be the one wanting a family and being more affected by watching young dogs/pups suffer to become soldiers. EDIT EDIT : Alright, so I'm on my fourth and final character (hopefully lmao) but I'm having trouble deciding on his reference. Choosing a dog's looks always helps me finish everything else, but I shall await one or two replies on here before I post the pictures and see what everyone thinks. He'll be a Knight for Highvalley of course and I know I want him to be pretty big, so I have five pics chosen, but I'm having trouble deciding past that ;-; ![]() Edited on 01/09/17 @ 22:10:58 by West (#43497) |

Would anyone like to play Sayd (Vigdis' step-father), Hilde (Vidis' mother), or Votusia (Vigdis' step-sister)? These characters are a big part of Vigdis' storyline and I would love it if someone would volunteer to play one of them. I'm fine with them being NPC's, and I can even create one of them and play as them myself, but I'd like to see how others would make them. For my second dog, I'll probably adopt....though I'd have to know which are up for adoption. ![]() |

Hello all, PSA announcement here: why Scotties are kickbutt. You all are probably wondering why on earth a terrier is dwelling in a land of big dogs. Well, let me assuage your fears! 1. Their dental hardware. I own Scotties. A runt and a showdog. My neighbor had a GSD (she has since passed, sadly). One day, we were curious. We got our dogs and compared their jaws and teeth. The verdict: BOTH my dogs had the same size teeth and jaws as a GSD. And I've seen those jaws in action. It's not a pretty picture 2. Their low structure. It's nearly impossible to bowl them over. Many dogs have tried and failed. 3. Their sheer aggression. Scotties were bred to fight badgers (roughly the same size as a Scot) in the badger's den. Not only fight, but kill. In fact, terriers are the only group bred to actually KILL their quarry. They will willingly pursue an animal into its den, fight it, kill it, and drag its carcass into the open air. Again, I've seen it happen. 4. Their glorious floof Have you ever wondered why Scotties have so much fur? It's not a fashion statement; that stuff is hot! They have two coats, one for insulation and the rough outer one to actually cushion the bites and blows from an enemy. their fur is their armor. That is why they have such long skirts and beards. The beards protect their necks, and their skirts hide their legs and vital regions. 5. Their intelligence and stubbornness. Scotties are among the most intelligent dog breeds, and are one of the most stubborn. This allows them to analyze and make decisions quickly in combat, and their stubbornness guards against giving quarter. ![]() |

I'm loving the sound of Sayd simply because I love Ibizan Hounds and have been considering bringing my own Ibizan Hound oc on here for quite some time.. so I'm thinking about perhaps playing him. I'm assuming, given the history, Vigdis definitely isn't fond of him? lol ![]() |

Yep, though not because he has done anything to her. Just because of his presence mainly. Though Vigdis is stubborn, if given enough time and love, she can easily soften up to someone. Even if she keeps her feelings hidden. It's like a developing trait of hers. I like to have my canines have secretly hidden personalities that they will discover throughout the RP, so they may act differently than what their real personality might label them to act like. EDIT: That's amazing! I myself have a dog that was bred for hunting badgers, rabbits, and foxes. He's only 50/50 percent Dachshund, but he was taught to hunt critters at a young age. He is pretty ferocious too. I also just found out recently that a pack of Dachshund back in the day were sometimes used to hunt wild boar, which is very amazing. That's why I'll probably make a Dachshund next. ![]() Edited on 02/09/17 @ 10:21:22 by Tenshi(WCU) (#111404) |
