Dovepaw shook off all the excess water in the corner, and went over to Rosepetal's kits. "Erm...I'll watch them..." She said weakly, grooming her paw once more. She hoped Rosepetal would say yes.

Even if Dovepaw hated kits, she thought that their little innocent minds would be fun to hang out with, for a while at least.

Lionkit blinked rapidly and looked outside of the nursery, his frosty blue eyes widening and narrowing. He twitched his nose cautiously before backing up slightly.

Lionkit fidgeted slightly as he tried to look out of the nursery again. He climbed over his mother's tail then widened his frosty blue eyes again and growled softly as his eyes narrowed. "W-What?..." He asked himself, his fur bristling as he stared at all the rain that was falling rapidly and loudly.

Lionkit raised an eyebrow slightly. "StarClan?..." He whispered softly to himself, to low and quiet for any cat to hear him before he wrapped his tail around his paws and stared out, seeming glued and unable to move as he kept on staring. He felt some water on his face as the wind blew but didn't flinch as he stared out. "..." He just continued to stare out before shaking his head, forcing himself back to reality before he walked back to his mother, resting beside where his mother laid her head down before starting to groom his mother's ears, trying to distract himself from the current thing that was going on.

Lionkit stopped and sighed before nodding and getting back to his paws, hooking the moss ball with a claw before glancing at his mother with "her own" frosty blue eyes. (Since Lionkit inherited her eyes.) He then unhooked it and placed it on the ground before swiping at it. His frosty eyes scanned the moss ball with a bored expression before swatting at it again. And again. And again before he got bored and collapsed on the floor, letting out a loud sigh which made his voice crack. The fluffy golden tabby tom-kit then turned his frosty blue eyes back to the nursery entrance, where all the action was happening. It made his fur bristle with excitement yet fear as he stared out.

"Um....Lionkit...Want to hear a story about a great hero called Leafclaw?" Dovepaw was about to tell the story of her mother and father, and she was going to face it head on. "I knew this hero, too! I'm actually related to her." Dovepaw looked at Rosepetal, and then at Lionkit's frosted blue eyes. She hoped that he would like her story. Dovepaw loved to tell stories to elders, at least when she was a kit and there were elders... The elders seemed to hate kits, but they were quite fond of her calm and peaceful aura. But old age does catch up, and...

Dovepaw didn't want to be sad when she was about to tell her story. But if the kit didn't like this story, Dovepaw could always just make up some fight scenes and act them out.

Lionkit perked his ears and turned his head and attention to the calico she-cat. His whiskers twitched and he nodded. "Yeah, sure. Why not?" The golden tabby mumbled and walked in front of Dovepaw before sitting down and getting comfortable by wrapping his tail around his large paws. The frost eyed tom-kit perked his ears and gave her a large grin. "You were related to heros? Woah! That's awesome!" He meowed, twitching his whiskers before looking down at his paws and mumbling softly. "Wish I could be..." He growled softly then shook his head and looked back up at her. "Tell me more!" He demanded loudly, his fur bristling with excitement. Lionkit always found stories exciting and amazing, how one can do great things while alive and how cats can remember you, it's a great feeling even though it wasn't you that the story was about.
